There is hardly need to be shocked or scared. Today every 11th person in the World and every 7th person in India is suffering from Diabetes. As per the official Report of NRHM- India has recorded 79 Million Diabetes patient at the end of year 2014. As per the Report of WHO India has Maximum number of Diabetes Cases China is on 2nd and USA at 3rd place in this regard. So please don't be shocked. Secondly, if you intend to keep your diabetes uncontrolled - then only you need to be scared. If you intend to keep it under control- there is nothing to fear. If you don't want medicine then try exercise and strict diet control. Keep monitoring your sugar levels. If they come out controlled - its fine. If they don't - there is no reason why you should avoid medicines. Medicines are meant to make you better! Why avoid them.

Hello. Please follow strict diabetic diet. No maida. No potatoes. No coconut water. And walking at least for 40 minutes. Beyond this all she should avoid stress. And small diet many at least 4 times a day. Let hba1c get it done consult me for more help.

I am very lean and thin, please give me some tips to increase my weight and be fat.
To gain weight you should eat more calories than you burn. Plus not only you have to eat calorie dense food but you have to keep in mind that what you are eating is healthy too. In the process of weight gain you do not want to put weight in an uneven manner and look unhealthy rather than looking bright and healthy. 1. Start with changing your lifestly. Start working out if you are not active. The biggest myth that prevails now a days is that thin people do not need to work out. This is wrong. When you challenge your body, it is forced to grow. But this growth can only be possible if you are eating enough food to let the body absorb and grow in size and muscles. 2. Eat Healthy – Stop drinking and smoking too much if you are indulged in it. Limit your intake of junk food, pepsi, sugary stuff etc. Do not at all starve yourself. Make it a habit to eat something healthy every 3 hours. This means you have to eat 6 small meals in a day. Your Daily food intake should ideally consist of – a. Have plenty of nuts, dry fuits and seeds. Almonds, walnuts, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, figs, dates and raisins. They are full of healthy fats needed by a human body. B. Good amount of fruits and vegetables – Bananas, apples, pomegranate, green leafy vegetables. Fruits and vegetables helps in absorption of food in the body and together, completes your daily nutrition need. C. If you are a non- vegetarian - Eat eggs, chicken etc. D. Eat whole grains – Try to have multi grains spread throughout the day. Wheat, brown rice, oats, bajra, daliya etc should be taken in multiple meals in a day. E. Eat Sprouts – Chana and moong which are full of protein and nutrients. F. You can supplement your diet with good quality multi-vitamin capsules. If you are lacking in protein, you can buy a high quality whey protein and have it with banana shake twice a day. G. You can take natural food items like wheat grass which is full of essential nutrients which helps in weight gain. Try to be patient while you are on the process of weight gain. Results take time to show. Just follow this regimen and you will soon start seeing the results.

Mr. Lybrate-user, first thing to be clarified is that essential hypertension (high bp) and diabetes are not curable, both can only be controlled effectively by proper medication, diet control and regular exercise. Treatment has to go on for lifetime. To control high blood glucose following things are to done: 1) appropriate medicines based on fasting, pp glucose levels and hba1c%, to be taken regularly, 2) restricted diet providing exact calories based on ideal body weight, glucose levels and extent of daily exercise, 3) regular exercise for at least 1 hour a day, to keep weight in check and as near as normal, 4) avoid deep fried foods, junk foods, pastries and other bakery items, sweetened aerated drinks, fructose corn syrup containing products, 5) refrain from alcohol and smoking. For controlling bp apartfrom all above you have to reduce salt intake to about 2 to 3 g a day. Avoid all highly processed foods. As regards exercise any exercise is good, simplest of option is brisk walking for 1 hour a day at least 5 days a week. If one can do a bit heavier exercise then it is welcome. Basically both these conditions need following a modified lifestyle along with medication.

I suggest you easy method of weight gain just follow it for year you will gain weigh defiantly 1. Start exercise regularly for 3 month and then after 3 month leave it for 3 month at the time of exercise your diet will increase but same diet continue after 3 month when you stop exercise so thats why your weight will increase automatically now we discus about diet 2.take dates with milk in the morning breakfast 3.triphala kadha 4 tsp beore lunch and dinner 4.amala juice 4 tsp + 2tsp sugar + 2tsp honey in the morning empty stomach this take for 1.5 month only your weight gain will take definitely note=avoid over eating. When you are trying to gain weight, you should eat food the rich in vitamins and minerals. 1. Healthy food includes meat, egg, milk, fruit vegetables, fruits, and nuts. Cashews, almonds, dates, walnuts, dry grapes, apricots, peaches are some of the dried fruits and nuts that can be added to breakfast, salads, cereal and desserts. Sesame seeds, ground nuts, and peanuts also contain fats in them and can help in adding that extra pounds you desire. 2. Sometimes loss of appetite may also cause weight loss. So you should take following remedies improving weight A]triphala kadha 4tsp before lunch and dinner B]amala juice 4 tsp + sugar 2 tsp+ honey 2 tsp empty stomach in the morning umami flavor increases satiety and enhances appetite. Due to improving hunger and digestion whatever you will eat more and even you eat more it will digest properly and your weight will increase naturally without any supplement.

less weight is sometimes common according to age. Ayurveda believes in digestion not into giving heavy food for weight gain. According to ayurveda, food which are easy to digest but nutrient can gain weight. But I need detait history for perfact solution. Like your appetite? bowel habits sleeping habits kind of your work or job life style diet etc. But till you can do following: take daal rice more. Use cow ghee n milk. Avoid over eating start massage with til oil in morning, after that, do exercise whatever you want. Then bath focus in yourself avoid stress anger fear take ajvayan 1 tsp after meal. Start chyavanprash in morning. For medicine I need you more history.

Avoid salt. U r in danger zone. Do exercise especially brisk walking around 20 minutes 5 times in a week. For cardiac health consult WD cardiologist. Do 2 d echo of heart n go for stress test regularly in a year. Start immediately antihypertensive medicine.

  • आयुर्वेद में लंबे समय से किया जा रहा है शतावरी का इस्‍तेमाल।
  • एक या दो इंच तक का हो सकता है शतावरी का पौधा।
  • नींद न आने की कारगर औषधि है शतावरी।
  • खांसी के लिए भी किया जाता है शतावरी का प्रयोग।

 
शतावरी बहुत पहले से महत्‍वपूर्ण औषधि के रूप में प्रयोग की जा रही है। इसका प्रयोग कई प्रकार के रोगों में किया जाता है। शतावरी झाड़ीनुमा पौधा होता है जिसमें फूल व मंजरियां एक व दो इंच लंबे या गुच्‍छे में लगे होते हैं। शतावरी को शुक्रजनन, शीतल, मधुर एवं दिव्‍य रसायन माना जाता है।

कैंसर के मरीजों के लिए यह बहुत ही कारगर औषधि है। नींद न आने की समस्‍या, खांसी, सिरदर्द, आदि के लिए यह बहुत फायदेमंद है। आइए हम आपको बताते हैं कि शतावरी के अन्‍य गुणों के बारे में।

शतावरी के गुण कैंसर के लिए
शतावरी में एंटी-ऑक्‍सीडेंट होता है, जो कि कैंसररोधी है। इसके अलावा शतावरी में विटामिन ए, बी, सी, पोटैशियम और जिंक पाया जाता है। इसमें हिस्‍टोन नामक प्रोटीन पाया जाता है जो कि कैंसर के उपचार में योगदान देते हैं।

खांसी के लिए
अडूसे का रस, शतावरी का रस और मिश्री मिलाकर चाटने या तीनों को मिलाकर चूर्ण बनाकर खाने से खांसी समाप्‍त हो जाती है। सूखी खांसी के लिए यह बहुत फायदेमंद है। कफ में खून आने की बीमारी में भी शतावरी खाने से लाभ होता है।

शक्तिवर्द्धन के लिए
शतावरी के चूर्ण को दूध में डाल कर बनाई खीर या पाक बना कर खाने से पुरूषों में यौन शक्ति बढ़ती है।

अनिद्रा के लिए
अनिद्रा के शिकार लोगों के लिए शतावरी बहुत ही फायदेमंद है। शतावरी का पांच से दस ग्राम चूर्ण, 10-15 ग्राम घी तथा दूध में डालकर नींद न आने की समस्‍या समाप्‍त हो जाएगी।

बुखार के लिए
ज्वर होने पर शतावरी और गिलोय का रस गुड़ में मिलाकर लेने से फायदा होता है। शतावरी से सामान्‍य और तेज दोनों प्रकार के बुखार में फायदा होता है।

सिरदर्द के लिए
माइग्रेन जैसे सिरदर्द के लिए शतावरी बहुत कारगर औषधि है। शतावरी को कूट कर रस निकाल लीजिए। बराबर हिस्‍सों में शतावरी का रस और तिल का तेल मिलाकर सिर पर मालिश करने से सिरदर्द होना बंद हो जाता है। इससे आधाशीशी रोग में आराम मिलता है।

खूनी दस्त आने पर
गीली शतावरी पीसकर दूध में मिला लीजिए, फिर कपड़े से छान कर या रस में घी मिलाकर पका लीजिए। खूनी दस्‍त आने पर इसका इस्‍तेमाल कीजिए, आराम मिलेगा।

शतावरी बहुत ही फायदेमंद पौधा है। इसे सामान्‍य दिनों में भी प्रयोग करने से कई प्रकार के सामान्‍य रोग भी नही होते हैं। सामान्‍य दिनों में प्रयोग करने के लिए, 4-5 मिनट पानी में उबालकर मिक्‍सर से फेंट दीजिए। इसे फ्रिज में रखिए और दो-दो चम्‍मच सुबह शाम प्रयोग कीजिए।

Your BMI is 20.8.. which means you are in normal category. You are not underweight. There is no need to take any supplements... Just eat healthy. Aim for fitness... aim for strength... dont aim for bulky body... It does not matter. 1. Have lot of fruits and fruit juices. 2. Take sprouts daily. 3. Eat lot of nuts like almonds, cashew, peanuts. 4. Drink full cream milk, curd, cheese, paneer. 5. If your are non veg you can have more eggs, chicken. 6. Dals have good protien. Have more rajma, kabuli chana, soya beans etc. 7. Avoid junk food and colas. Avoid chips and other namkeen. 8. No need for any supplements. Nature has best products. 9. Go for regular walks / exercise / do yoga. Sleep well. 10. Feel confident about yourself and be positive.

What is cat scratch disease?

Cat scratches and bites can cause cat scratch disease, a bacterial infection carried in cat saliva. Research suggests a cat may get these bacteria from fleas. The bacteria are passed from an infected cat to a human after the cat licks an open wound or bites or scratches human skin hard enough to break the surface of the skin. Kittens younger than one year of age are more likely to scratch, increasing the likelihood of infection.

What causes cat scratch disease?

Cat scratch disease is caused by a bacterium carried in the cat saliva. The bacteria are passed from an infected cat to a human after the cat licks an open wound or bites or scratches human skin hard enough to break the surface of the skin.

Who is at risk for cat scratch disease?

Factors that can increase your risk for getting cat scratch disease include:

  • Being around cats on a routine basis, especially kittens that are more playful and apt to accidentally scratch you
  • Not cleaning scratches or bites from a cat as soon as you get them
  • Allowing a cat to lick any open wounds that you have
  • Being around a flea infestation

What are the symptoms of cat scratch disease?

These are the most common symptoms of cat scratch disease:

  • A cat bite or scratch that becomes reddened or swollen within a few days and does not heal or worsens over time
  • Painful or swollen glands, especially under the arms (if scratched on the arm or hand), or in the groin (if scratched on the foot or leg)
  • Flu-like symptoms including headache, decreased appetite, fatigue, joint pain, or fever
  • Body rash

The symptoms of cat scratch disease may look like other conditions or medical problems. Always see your healthcare provider for a diagnosis.

How is cat scratch disease diagnosed?

Treatment may include:

  • Antibiotics (to treat the infection)

What are the complications of cat scratch fever?

Most healthy people don’t have complications from cat scratch fever. However, people whose immune systems are weak (such as those who have HIV/AIDS, are receiving chemotherapy, or have diabetes) can have complications such as:

  • Bacillary angiomatosis. A skin disorder characterized by red, elevated lesions surrounded by a scaly ring. This condition may become a more widespread disorder that involves internal organs. 
  • Parinaud's oculoglandular syndrome. A condition that involves a red, irritated and painful eye similar to conjunctivitis (pink eye), fever, and swollen lymph nodes in front of the ear on the same side

Can cat scratch disease be prevented?

Avoid being scratched or bitten by cats or kittens. If scratched or bitten, wash the area right away with soap and water. Do not allow cats to lick wounds you may have.

If a cat scratch or bite becomes red or swollen and you develop flu-like symptoms, including headache, decreased appetite, fatigue, joint pain, or fever, contact your healthcare provider.

Hi, could be because of nutritional issue. Get these blood test done and revert back with reports. Will start treatment accordingly. Cbc, sr. B12, sr. D3, tsh.
