There are a lot of reasons for ankle pain,it could be due to any soft tissue injury, sprain, tight TA,Fracture, heel pain could be due to plantarfascitis or heel spurs etc.So its important to examine and find out what can be the cause for your ankle pain...If you have injured your ankle then wear a crepe bandage or ankle support,Do cold compress or immerse foot in ice cold water for 30 secs then in hot or warm water for 3 min, repeat this 3-4 times and see the difference. If it doesn't help see a doctor.

Hello, my mom is suffering from frozen shoulder very much. What to do now to reduce pain and stiffness? She can't lift up right hand and very much pain in the shoulder. So What to do now to reduce the pain and stiffness?

Please ask your mom to continue to use the involved shoulder and extremity as much as possible given her pain and range-of-motion limits. Applying heat or cold to her shoulder can help relieve pain. A physiotherapist can teach her range-of-motion exercises to help recover as much mobility in the shoulder as possible. Her commitment to doing these exercises is important to optimize recovery of her mobility. Most frozen shoulders get better on their own within 12 to 18 months. For persistent symptoms, go to a orthopedic doctor who may suggest: steroid injections or shoulder manipulation or surgery. Best wishes.

Role OF Walking In Low Backache

MCH Neuro Surgery, MBBS Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery, MS - General Surgery
Neurosurgeon, Agra
Role OF Walking In Low Backache

Studies investigating walking as an intervention in Backache report a reduction in pain either measured immediately post-treadmill vertical walking or after a 3-week period of PBWS(partial body weight suspension) walking. Other studies that investigated the effects of physiotherapy in a chronic Backache population compared to exercise and walking treatment reported a significant difference in pain reduction in favour of the two interventions when compared to physiotherapy  alone.

For damage cartilage along knee what are the remedies? Whether knee replacement is the only remedy?

For damage cartilage along knee what are the remedies? Whether knee replacement is the only remedy?
You can take Ultrasonic therapy in one of the nearby physiotherapy clinics which would help to heal the damaged cartilages along with shortwave diathermy which would help to improve the blood circulation.
