My mom age is 45 weight 65 she has frozen shoulder and arthritis all joint painful after performing something and late night what should I do what is the treatment and exercise needs to be done to overcome this please help me she is going through since 6 years ago please help me.

Dear, Frozen shoulder gives acute pain symptoms at night. There's no medicine for improving the shoulder however pain killers may give temporary relief but that will keep the shoulder frozen only. I would recommend her to take physiotherapy especially shoulder mobilisation exercises which a therapist only can perform and it can take from 3 months to 6 months of physiotherapy for the condition to be fully cured (depends on her shoulder condition and medical history) For other joints please get some blood tests done (like rheumatoid factor, Utica acid, ESR and CRP etc) to check out the kind of arthritis and for that you need to consult an orthopaedic.

I HAVE BROKEN RIB, NOW IT IS REALLY PAIN FULL. EVEN WALKING ALSO VERY very difficult. What is the way to recover it. Please say doctor?

In most cases, you can take care of broken or bruised ribs at home. While your injury heals, pain relief is very important, as it will hurt every time you breathe in or cough. Taking shallow breaths and not coughing to avoid pain will only put you at risk of a chest infection. You can look after yourself by: -regularly taking over-the-counter painkillers, such as paracetamol -holding an ice pack to your chest regularly during the first few days to reduce the pain and swelling -resting periodically – take time off work if you need to, especially if your work involves physical labour or the pain is severe -keeping mobile between rest periods – walking around and moving your shoulders occasionally can help with your breathing and help clear any mucus from your lungs -holding a pillow against your chest if you need to cough -carrying out breathing exercises – take 10 slow, deep breaths every hour, letting your lungs inflate fully each time, to help keep your lungs clear Don't wrap a bandage tightly around your chest, as this will stop your lungs expanding properly. Try to avoid lying down or staying still for long periods. It may help to sleep more upright for the first few nights. Avoid straining and lifting heavy objects until you're feeling better, as you may injure yourself further and take longer to recover. If you smoke, stopping may also help your recovery. See a Doctor if your pain hasn't started to improve within a few weeks. Best wishes

Extension exercises x 15 times x twice daily. Bhujang asana. Core strengthening exercises. Back stretchingstretch do the cat/cow avoid bending in front. Postural correction- sit tall, walk tall. Apply hot fomentation.

I am 20 years old, female. I have a armpit on right hand underarm. It pains me during the time of monthly problems (periods) only, and after the 3-4 days its get removed itself. Not to worry, it is just a swollen lymph node. It is very common during hormonal surges to having a swollen lymph node. To relieve pain, try warm compress. However, if the lymph node continues to remain swollen and does not ever subside, see your doctor.

Sir / madam. I am a marketing person, lots of running on bike in Mumbai city approx 75 km daily, always feeling tired, my joints legs, arms, backbone, head always tired & feeling Uneasy also painful, I regularly take Revital capsule daily, but still not very active. Pls suggest something better then this, lots of responsibility, can't stop, have to run & want to be active like horse. Reply Note: No BP, no Diabetes, no cholesterol.

Dear lybrate user, * when you ride a bike for longer periods of time, your body will start protesting. This is what exactly happening with you right now. As you said you can not change the work and your life style, I would suggest you to add swimming to your daily routine. * swimming will help you relax and at the same time strengthen your weak muscles. * taking hot water shower before going to bed will also help to relax your over used muscles. * eat healthy * have a sound sleep. * continue taking your regular supplements.
