Doctors last year I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism. So I was put on eltroxin 50 mcg. .my TSH WAS 21 (t3 t4 were in normal range) After 3 month I did test again then TSH come to 5. Now when I did test again then it increase to 10.21 So docs pls tell me why it is so. I never miss dose (one hour before taking breakfast) Also avoided soybean n it's related products So pls let me know??

Mr. lybrate-user, Thanks for the query. When a person is on treatment for hypothyroidism with adequate dosage of levothyroxine, then TSH values remain between 3 to 4 mU/L. With that all the symptoms of hypothyroidism are in check. So in your case the dose given in the beginning itself was low. Unless adequate dosage is given TSH value will not be maintained in the desired range. So there has to be a change made in the present dosage. Thanks.

Ayurveda believes in digestion not into giving heavy food for weight gain. According to ayurveda, food which are easy to digest but nutrient can gain weight. But I need detait history for perfact solution. Like your appetite? bowel habits sleeping habits kind of your work or job life style diet etc. But till you can do following: take daal rice more. Use cow ghee n milk. Avoid over eating start massage with til oil in morning, after that, do exercise whatever you want then bath focus in yourself avoid stress anger fear take ajvayan 1 tsp after meal. Start chyavanprash in morning.

It is better to under go for the test of ultrasonography of pelvis to know the exact cause and if that comes normal she should undergo following blood tests and then get back to me with reports cbc. Thyroid profile, s testosterone, s dht.

Hi, If you’re aiming to gain some strength and build muscle, you must follow the points mentioned below: 1. Start exercising. If you’re a beginner, focus on bodyweight exercises like push up, pull up and squat. The basic push up and chin up are invaluable exercises you can do with very little equipment. Increase their difficulty by adding reps or affixing weights to your legs. 2. Consume a balanced diet. It's important to eat big meals to fuel muscle growth while you're training. You’ll need to eat healthy, whole foods that will nourish and restore your muscles. Consume all types of fruits, vegetables, grains, oils and dairy products. 3. Take adequate rest. Many people take this step lightly, but it's absolutely essential when it comes to gain strength. That means you won't be able to work out as hard or lift as much as you otherwise would, not to mention you'll be more prone to injury if you're feeling sleepy. Get at least 7-8 hours of sleep per night, possibly more depending on your individual needs, during heavy workout periods. 4. Increase protein intake. Protein proves to be the most essential nutrient when it comes down to gaining strength or building muscle. Therefore, consume all types of protein from both veg and non veg food items. Chicken breast, egg whites, fish, pulses provide you all the protein you need without containing any unnecessary fat. 5. Focus on compound movements. Compound movements are those which engages more than one muscle group. Exercises like bench press, squat, dead lift are great examples of compound exercises to gain strength quickly. 6. Lift heavy. If your main aim is to gain strength, you’ll need to lift heavy weights in the gym and thus, lower the repetitions of your sets. Moderate-rep sets are important when training for muscle size. However, to build strength, you're going to have to train with heavier weights, meaning you'll do fewer reps. 7. Limit cardio to once or twice per week. Cardio exercises like running, swimming, and biking are great ways to keep your endurance good and your circulation healthy. However, they aren't the best exercises you can do if your goal is to gain strength. Weight training requires loads of energy, and if yours has already been used up by a long run or bike ride, you won't have enough left over to give weight training your best shot. Limit cardio to once or twice per week so your energy reserves are ready to expend on building strength. Best of luck!

Periods can get delayed because of many causes. Pregnancy is one of them. It would be better to get blood test done for pregnancy to be completely sure. If it is negative you would need to get certain blood tests and ultrasound to rule out other reasons for delayed periods.

Diabetes features as one of the most common ailments in the contemporary times. Mostly assumed as a congenital disease, diabetes is growingly targeting different age groups and often the outburst of diabetes is mostly unmapped. Diabetes is mainly spurred by the presence of high blood sugar content in the patient's blood. In cases where insulin, the sugar absorbing hormone, is not produced normally, the patient becomes more prone to diabetes. Many attribute this phenomenon to the changing lifestyles of the people and their food choices. In clinical terms, however, diabetes is said to be triggered off by the destruction of insulin-producing beta cells in the body.

Besides the genetic susceptibility, there are a variety of causes that result in diabetes:

  1. Obesity and physical inactivity: An imbalance between calorie intake and the burning of the same often results in the storage of excess sugar. This aggravates the risks of cardiovascular diseases. The food and lifestyle choices are directly related to the phenomenon.
  2. Abnormal glucose production by the liver: Normally the pancreas secretes glucagon when the natural percentage of insulin is low and stimulates the liver to produce glucose which is then released into the bloodstream. But under certain conditions, the glucagon level is already high in some people. In such cases, the liver produces glucose thus increasing the risk of diabetes.
  3. Beta cell dysfunction: The beta cells are responsible for the secretion insulin in your body. In case the beta cells stop functioning normally, a medical condition called insulin resistance arises. Under this condition, your body cells stop responding to the insulins secreted and consequently, the glucose content increases thus causing diabetes. Various endocrine diseases contribute to the malfunctioning of the beta cells.
  4. Medicines and chemical toxins: Often certain medications like diuretics, anti-seizure drugs, psychiatric drugs, and drugs to treat HIV may lead to the worsening of the beta cell functions and cause diabetes.

Diabetes can be medically treated as well as its adverse effects can be assuaged by ushering in a few lifestyle changes:

  1. Periodically checking your blood sugar levels
  2. Taking adequate dental care often keeps the blood sugar levels in control
  3. Regularly exercising and being physically active
  4. Avoiding junk food and food with high glucose content
  5. Consuming relevant drugs prescribed by the doctors
  6. Being wary of the side-effects in cases of organ transplantations.

Most probably there's may be ligament injury or meniscus injury. Do mri of knee joint and then inform me.

For sex how can I give suggestions, only I can give you suggestion for you problem. I had been prone to heroine use from last few years. Post withdrawal I encounter diarreah, nausea,sweating, irritability,depression n craving. Been clean in b/w for 2-3 days but got back to drugs. I don't want to continue it anymore but feel low while normal. Any help appreciated . Thanks.

These are all the withdrawal effects of heroine use. It will happen during the initial stages only and when you overcome that phase, you will no longer feel those symptoms. The body and the brain is feeling the absence of the substance and therefore reacts. If you meet with a doctor he will prescribe some medication to ease these symptoms and that will help you. Ideally, you should admit yourself into a rehabilitation home and get all the assistance, and you will be far away from sourcing the drugs too. You will need to stay for at least 6 months and follow that​ up with NA meetings for a long time along with some counseling too.

Just by exercising one does not lose body fat. You have to follow a nutrition program along with exercise to lose body fat. For exercise you can do 3 times a week weight training to build up muscles and strength and 3 times cardio like walking, zumba, cycling. To maintain a low body fat and/or lower body fat: 1. Exercise at least 5 times per week 2. Eat whole/unprocessed foods at regular intervals, while being aware of physical hunger/fullness cues 3. Sleep 7-9 hours per night 4. Don’t engage in extreme diets 5. Stay consistent with your habits 6. Incorporate non-exercise physical activity 7. Ignore food advertising You need a fat loss diet which comprises of whole grains like jowar, bajra, wheat, brown rice, pulses like moong, musoor, bengal gram, lots of vegetables, fruits, eggs, fish, chicken, paneer, healthy oil, nuts and seeds. You need to eat them in right proportion. Avoid eating sugar and sweets, refined foods like maida, noodles pasta, White rice and products, bread. Drink a lot of water.

c3r is aimed at controlling the progression of keratoconus .. it does not revert your eyes to absolutely normal...but currently only established treatment of keratoconus is c3r

Hi, I advice you some suggestions for loosing weight. You should go for 45 minutes brisk walk in the morning. Do regular exercise atleast 15 minutes. Take lukewarm water with lemon in the morning. Include more fruits and vegetables in your diet. Drink more water in a day. Don't take rice at night. Avoid junk food and oily food. Take small and frequent meals.

Dear, if you tired very fast and feeling weakness. Then you will definitely recover from weakness by following these very useful tips. * you should take proper balanced diet first. That means you have to take vegetables, milk, chapattis or rice, butter / cream, cereals (daals) or cheese every day. Very important thing, do not miss or skip your meals at any cost and take meals on time. * proper 6-8 hours sleep is very important. If your sleep is less than 6 hours, then you feel tired very early. So complete your sleep. * do breathing execises daily in morning & evening. Just sit down in peaceful place, close your eyes, take deep and long breaths in and out. Do it atleast for 10-15 minutes daily. You can also do pranayams like anulom vilom for better results. *take a walk, in first walk normally for 10-15 minutes for 15 days. You can do it on treadmill also. * you can take ashvagandha churn of baidyanath 1 teaspoon with milk daily for 2 months atleast to get your strength back. * check out your haemoglobin level in 3 months, if it is low you get tired early. So get treatment of low haemoglobin (anemia). If you have any disease like asthma /diabetes / hypertension, then get complete treatment of them. * avoid all fast foods and habit of smoking or drinking. You surely get great strength and recover from weakness by following these important things.
