Life style modification and eating right will surely help you. Walking for at least 30-35 mins is surely important.

Dear, To control & maintan BP normal these are best methods to follow:.• Do physical exercise like jogging, running or brisk walk for atleast 20-30 minutes. • Maintain your cholesterol level to normal & eat least amount of butter, cream or fatty things. • Eat less amount of pickle, salt and fast food as they contain high sodium levels. • Avoid drinking alcohol and smoking. • Take less amount of caffine containing coffee, tea or cold drinks because caffine causes increase BP. • Drink 8 to 10 glass of water daily • Take 6 to 8 hrs of sleep daily. Do not take too much stress. • Do long breathing pranayams (Anulom- Vilom, Bhramari) daily for 10 - 15 minutes. Vijay g. Too much gas formation leads to distended abdomen which may cause cardiac and respiratory symptoms due to pressure and hyperacidity. Is it true that hot / short tempered people are at high risk of getting and having high blood pressure? Or is it just temporary (at the moment that you are angry)? Can you explain the basis of this? What's the best advice to someone who has short temper. How to curb it?

Hypnotherapist, DCS, BSIC, Advanced Trainee of Transactional Analysis, Advanced Skills in Counselling
Psychologist,
Is it true that hot / short tempered people are at high risk of getting and having high blood pressure? Or is it just...
Hot temper could be one of the reasons for high bp but not the only one. With high negative emotionality like anger, stress and sadness, the circulatory, muscular, nervous and digestive system face continuous pressure to help dissipate the excess energy build up. Hence, the immune system gets compromised often and the person is open to falling ill often. 2. The person might also behave without thinking through his actions and may end up doing something that they regret later. 3. They are more susceptible to consuming drugs and alcohol as their immediate coping mechanism to relieve the stress that they are unable to face otherwise. 4. Anger held for long term can lead to rage converted into antisocial behavior leading to social adjustment issues and self esteem issues. Depression is another outcome of anger turned inwards or outwards. It is best to learn how to tame your anger and use it to articulate what you are experiencing or wanting from the other person. Assertive communication and" self and other" awareness are some of the best tools to manage anger.

Dear lybrate user, you should immediately stop the medication for blood pressure. Regarding your problem of diabetes I fear that you may have become insulin dependant diabetic patient. In that case you should go for insulin injection. However, you could try homoeopathic uranium nit q, 30 drops, thrice daily, after meals, in a cup of water for one month. Check your blood sugar level after one month of medication. If you do not observe any decrease in your blood sugar level then you should go for insulin injection.

Continue treatment for BP. Try to stabilize your mood with exercise/ meditation/ prayers at home/ walking with your husband. Try to figure out with your husband as to why he is hurting you. No point in getting stressful or running away. Face it and be prepared for the worse. You cannot change anyone as you did not cause it/ you cant control it/ and you cant cure it/ only you change your attitude find some hobbies when lonely.

Hello lybrate-user eif means echogenic intracardiac focus it is a small bright spot seen in baby's heart on usg. It represents deposition of calcium in cardiac muscles. It is found 3-4%normal pregnancies. It has no impact on heart functions. Often resolves by 3rd trimester. Sometimes there is an association between eif and chromosomal abnormality as downs syndrome. If baby has normal chromosome there would be no associated problem to be concerned so sometimes doctor may suggest you for an amniocentesis that is done at15-20 weeks of pregnancy. If an isolated eif, chances are strongly in favour of normal pregnancy outcome. So don't worry be positive. Best of luck.
