I am 22years male, have a big varicocele since last 2 and half years. Hi, may be its due to the medication you can cross check with your psychiatrist. As for, libido and erection, there are many exercises and life style changes that you can make to improve it.

I have a question stuck in my mind from 3 months and its not going I seriously want help it started when I was appearing for my exam and realised I have not written my seat no so I started calling university for my query he gave me answer but my mind did not accept it and again and again I started calling he stopped giving me answer now I become very curious and wanted answer for it but he told wait for result to be out now my result is out and I am passed but why I am still worried and my mind keeps on repeating the same question and I am unable to concentrate on anything I do not like to talk to people I have pounding heart in morning and have pANIC attacks I am restless thinking will go mad I am not the same person I use to be I am lost and very scared about my future how one thought can make you slave and does not feel like doing anything I keep myself busy but still I do not know what to do should I consult a psychiatrist please help me to get rid of all these things going in my mind want to forgot this it is possible.

Being worried for the possibility of not having entered your roll number correctly could just be the time when you started to notice an anxiety state in yourself. From the complaints that you mentioned I do not have even a reasonable; e amount of doubt that you do have an anxiety disorder. However a diagnosis and form of treatment is better done after a complete evaluation and history taking.

I suspect that the adolescent issues with regard to hormones may be affecting your ability to concentrate and remember, if you are having an experience of late adolescence. When the hormones play up, it lasts for a period of close to two years and during that time you could be influenced by three signs directly impacted by the chemical: you will tend to become aggressive and rebellious, you will become sexually active, and you will have acne and pimple problems. The hormonal imbalances may not only impact your memory because of the chemical but also bring some distractions that come with it. But you may work on the following even if the hormones kick in: Daily exercise of at least half an hour is a must. Even if you go to a gym, ask for aerobic and/or callisthenic exercises with whatever else you are doing. A healthy body harbors a healthy mind. With regard to memory, it is very important that your brain and body is ideally rested to be able to recall whatever is required, rather comfortably. Puzzles pose problems to the brain that help it to use new pathways and neurons, which give the brain considerable exercise. It taxes the left brain to use logic to solve the myriad possibilities which other activities do not stimulate. Crosswords are excellent for vocabulary learning and use. Jigsaws and Rubik cube stimulate different permutations to finally settle on the most likely one. Picture completion and anagrams help approach problem solving from several angles. Do Sudoku, and memory co-relation activities and skills. Have a good night’s sleep, have a good breakfast of more proteins, meditate often, remain free of stress, eat a lot of fiber (whole grains, fruits and vegetables), nuts, avocado, eat dark chocolate, consume less of fat and use olive oil instead, do Yoga meditation exercises, etc. You need to check out if you are stronger visual or auditory. The visual is a better mode than the auditory. However, if you combine the two modes, you will get the best concentration. Have a special place of learning, which should be well lit, with soft painted walls, well-ventilated, with no distractions. When you get bored, study by writing. If you repeat learning at least five to seven times, you will apparently remember for a longer time. Sit comfortably but do not slouch. The reading material should be of a fairly large print. Study at small intervals of about 40 minutes and then take a break or change the subject. Short-term memory is a faculty of the left brain, and long-term memory is a feature of the right brain. When people are stressed, they tend to favor the right brain and abandon the left brain, where short-term memory resides. So, it is really very simple: deal with the stress and activate left brain functions. Here are a few suggestions to activate left brain function: shut your left nostril and breathe, move your eyes from right to left and vice versa for at least half a minute at a time, and do callisthenic exercises with some form of counting, regularly. There is a new exercise called Super Brain Yoga, which is done by holding the right earlobe with your left thumb and index finger, and the left earlobe with your right hand’s thumb and index finger. In this position you must squat down and rise up and do this for five minutes every day. There are some memory enhancing techniques and study methods that your teacher will be able to guide you with. If your home life is full of distractions and stress, it is likely to affect your memory, adversely. In that case, I suggest that the family goes for counseling too. The following foods do help too: Blueberries, walnuts, turmeric, Spinach, tomatoes, broccoli, acorn squash, green tea, oily fish, boiled egg, turkey, apples, oatmeal, leafy greens, lentils, pumpkin seeds, avocado, cinnamon, thyme, sunflower seeds, and red wine. Avoid junk food.

The word depressed is a common everyday word. People might say" i'm depressed" when in fact they mean" i'm fed up because i've had a row, or failed an exam, or lost my job" etc. These ups and downs of life are common and normal. Most people recover quite quickly. With true depression, you have a low mood and other symptoms each day for at least two weeks consult a psychiatrist and get evaluated.

Dear sir, you know anxiety disorders are a category of mental disorders characterized by feelings of anxiety and fear, where anxiety is a worry about future events and fear is a reaction to current events. These feelings may cause physical symptoms, such as a racing heart and shakiness. There are a number of anxiety disorders: including generalized anxiety disorder, a specific phobia, social anxiety disorder, separation anxiety disorder, agoraphobia, and panic disorder among others. While each has its own characteristics and symptoms, they all include symptoms of anxiety. I need to know more about your anxiety so that I will be able to diagnose it properly and provide you tips to overcome and manage your anxiety. You must be able to distinguish between mental disease and mental disorder. Your problem is a mental disorder. Not a mental disease. I have started smoking when I was 17. Now I'm 20 years old I wanna give up smoking I'm trying from past 1 nd half year. I used herbal tablets but no use I can't give up. I really wanna quit but something not letting happen. Please give me a best solution.

Start your stop smoking plan with start s- set a quit date: choose a date within the next 2 weeks, so you have enough time to prepare without losing your motivation to quit, if you mainly smoke at work, quit on the weekend, so you have few days to adjust to the change. T- tell family, friends and co-workers that you plan to quit: let your friends and family in on your plan to quit smoking and tell them you need their support and encouragement to stop. Look for a quit buddy who wants to stop smoking as well. You can help each other get through the rough times. A- anticipate and plan for the challenges you'll face while quitting: most people who begin smoking again do so within the first 3 months. You can help yourself make it through by preparing ahead for common challenges, such as nicotine withdrawal and cigratte cravings. R- remove cigrattes & other products from your home, car and work: throw away all of your cigarettes, lighter, ashtrays and matches. Wash your clothes and freshen up anything that smells like smoke. T- talk to your doctor about getting help to quit: your doctor can prescribe medication to help with withdrawal.

Hello, Kindly follow advises given below 1.Avoid using computers continuously, take rest for 5 min after working for half an hour 2. In pain free interval do neck exercise (kindly learn exercise by registered Trainer) 3. you can use thin pillow while sleeping so that normal posture of neck can be maintained 4.Maintain proper posture of body while watching TV/ studying Kindly go for cervical X ray AP and lateral and review with reports Consult Physician for Further Management

Hello Mr. lybrate-user, my first point here is do not panic, it is a very normal experience any young male can encounter in this age. The main reasons for one to have these symptoms may be due to the following reasons: 1) Lack of knowledge about sexuality 2) Excessive self monitoring 3) Gulit about sex 4) Any previous negative sexual experience 5) side effects of usage of alcohol, drugs, 6) Life stressors, excessive anxiety, fear (most common in your age) My advice is be reassured, just do not think about it, have good social interactions and maintain a healthy life style. If your problem even then persist kindly consult a doctor.

Reduce salt and oily spicy food , borderline BP & anxiety can be controlled without medicines , take more potassium like lemon water ,oranges ,bananas and other fresh fruits and vegetables. do yoga , meditation and do everything that can reduce your stress like avoiding company of negative people and looking at life in a positive way without being judgemental.

I have been suffering from adult adhd (attention deficit hyperactivity disorder) and some form of depression for some years now. It is distracting me from career development and and my social life making me absolutely mentally paralyzed. The most active symptoms that I am facing are as below: 1. Concentration problem 2. Confused thinking 3. Facial muscle twitching and expressionless talking. 4. High speech disorder/mumbles 5. Lack of confidence 6. Sudden blankness during communication 7. Career/future anxieties 8. Sudden mood swings 9. Word salad during communication 10. Memory issues (very short memory) 11. Dullness/depression 12. Poverty of speech would really appreciate your help on this as is even developing suicidal tendencies in me and ruing everything.

The symptoms you are facing are not unusual but the treatment approach may be in question. Have you not sought psychotherapy or counseling from a professional apart from the medication? if not this is the lacuna in your recovery program that is hampering you from making adequate progress. The problem in your case is usually one of the lack of cooperation. If you are determined, a lot of good work and results can be achieved. Any way the choices you have are very limited and you must do whatever you can now, and not wait for a later period because the condition will get worse and your cooperation will be even more remote. Please take it seriously and meet with a counselor and a psychiatrist. I have assumed that you are already on medication although you have not mentioned that. But if you are not you need both therapies to successfully work through this situation. It might be worth going to a clinical psychologist for a thorough testing to be absolutely sure that it is adhd that you have and that there are no overlapping pathologies to compound the condition. It will also help gear the treatment in the desirable direction.
