The choice of anti anxiety drug to be used depend son severity of the anxiety, it's type, duration and relation with any stressors or biological problems like heart diseases, headaches, hormone imbalances etc. I would advise you not to make any wild guesses about treatment options and consider visiting a psychiatrist personally. Amixide h is used for anxiety but may not always be useful.

Going in to depression will not help for hair growth. Meet a doctor and go for treatment a few times it's genetic or it could be due to some infection.

You are not talking with girls. When you talk there is nothing. You feel inferior yourself. Anybody in this age like that. We talk so many girls about sexual problems directly. But we never get negative thoughts. You are not talking. You are imaging yourself wrongly. For that reason you are getting negative thoughts. When you talk with them. You feel yourself there is nothing. After talking everybody feels there is nothing. After that we dislike to talk with girls. Better to make friendly relationships with girls. Then you do not have negative thoughts. Nobody listen or feel or think yourself. They have their own work. In this world everybody is busy they do not have time to think about yourself. Everything is your poor imagination. When you talk friendly everything gone. After you feel bore. So better to make freindly relations with girls. Listening songs is very good. Be sociable and be freidly with others. Best of luck.

Hello lybrate-user, it seems your are doing a lot of work. Working time also is more. Seems like you don't get much time for your self. Work load seems to be more than you can handle. Coming back to anger management. People don't know what you are going through. And it's not their fault that you are working so much. You have to take care of your self and your health. Anger mostly arises from some deficiency of and not others. You have to learn to handle stuff and people. Regarding your bp you should definitely visit a doctor and get it checked. The body has the tendency to adjust to your stress. But if your stress level increase to such a level that the body cannot adjust anymore more and starts giving signals in the from of bp, diabetes, headaches, neck pain, shoulder pain, stiffness etc. That the time one should understand that it's time to change our lifestyle and eventually our thoughts. Tc.

All About Post Traumatic Stress Disorder

DPM, MBBS
Psychiatrist
Ask Free Question
An event or an accident that leaves us overwhelmed can lead to post traumatic stress disorder, also known as ptsd. A particularly stressful situation or event that has created terror or been overly dramatic or dangerous can lead to stress and anxiety long after the individual has physically come out of the situation. This kind of a traumatic condition is usually what characterises ptsd. This condition is something that is persistent, and can linger on for a long time, calling for medical supervision and care. Here's a list of things you need to know about ptsd.

Duration: post traumatic stress disorder usually lasts up to six months. Yet, there are cases where it lingers on and requires treatment for some particular types of symptoms or behavioural changes. Usually, the patient's behaviour is a result of one or more of the symptoms discussed below.
Re-experiencing symptoms: these symptoms include flashbacks and life like re-imagination in the form of dreams and nightmares. In many cases, the patient may remember and re-experience the entire scene or series of events that have led to the trauma in the first place. This can be triggered by a memory or association with words, events and other such things that have to do with the memory of the traumatic episode.
Avoidance symptoms: a traumatised patient may go out of his or her way to avoid things that are remotely close to the traumatic incident. They may fear a reoccurrence or a reminder of the event and may avoid addressing the trauma altogether. Patients suffering from this symptom may have created a mental block, and may not be able to remember the exact details of the event. They may also feel emotions like fear, guilt, depression and even worry, over the past incident which led to the trauma in the first place.
Arousal symptoms: arousal or reactivity symptoms may trigger the same reactions that the person showed during the traumatic experience. These may include being on edge constantly in anticipation of a reoccurrence, or even getting startled by the slightest thing since the mind is already occupied with thoughts of the event, constantly. Anger and emotional outbursts may also be caused due to these symptoms.
Mood symptoms: mood swings are the most common outcome of these symptoms. The patient may experience a complete lack of enthusiasm and drive to indulge in activities like hobbies and socialising. Also, the patient may end up harbouring feelings of negativity towards family, friends and strangers, besides going through phases of guilt and self blame for the occurrence of the traumatic event.

Ptsd can be a debilitating disorder in the emotional sense, and should be treated by a psychiatrist in case it lingers on for more than six months.

How to remove stress?
Dear , Stress is simply a reaction to a stimulus that disturbs our physical or mental equilibrium. In other words, it's an omnipresent part of life. A stressful event can trigger the ?fight-or-flight? response, causing hormones such as adrenaline and cortisol to surge through the body. A little bit of stress, known as ?acute stress,? can be exciting?it keeps us active and alert. But long-term, or ?chronic stress,? can have detrimental effects on health. You may not be able to control the stressors in your world, but you can alter your reaction to them. I need to know, what are the causes with which you are stressed? Once you know the reason, you will be able to adjust with it with some tips and tricks. Please let me know the details. Take care.

Hello sir/madam, I have been suffering from anorexia since a month and still there is no improvement even I tried to ...
Hi, I can understand your concern. You can get healthy on your own, it does work. You just have to want it. And really fight for it. And of course when your trying to recover on your own, its not as easy. When your at hospital and have proffessional help. Its easier. You have a meal plan, you have people watching you, making sure you eat. Do not exercise. They make sure you gain weight. They help you recover. While your trying to recover on your own, the most important thing is that you have support. That is very important. Its almost impossible, if you have no one you can talk to, no one who will be there beside you when things are hard. Or someone to remind you thatrecovery is worth it. Someone to make you smile. Whether thats your mum, best friend, boyfriend. Etc etc (but I do not know, when your sick its so easy to lose contact with people. And if you have lost contact. Its just to take contact with people again, and let them know your trying to recover and hope that they can help you, support you.) recovery is not easy, its a mental battle everyday. And facing your body is not easy while in recovery. Ok. The best thing to do is start off small. 3 meals a day, and then add on snacks. So you have 5-6 meals a day. That is the best thing. Its good for the metabolism anyway. Its just healthy to eat 5-6 meals a day. And when your eating 5-6 meals a day aim for 2500-3000 calories. Thats what you need to gain weight. But start off with roughly 1000-1200 calories, and then raise it. Really, calories should not be counted. But when your making a meal plan, then I guess you should know how mcuh your eating. Find foods that you like. It makes eating easier. So. I guess thats up to you to decide what you like and want to eat. But I suggest to eat full fat foods. It makes gaining weight easier. And that is what is needed in recovery. Do not forget that my best tips in recovery, are to hide the mirrors. Trust me, it does not help. Just have a small one so you can do your make up, brush your teeth, see your face. But hide the llong mirrors. Get rid of the scale. The number on the scale does not define you. Ok. So if your recoverying on your own. Yeah, it might be good to see if your gaining weight or losing weight, but decide a day. Like monday morning, once a week you check. And thats it. Hide the scale. And do not step on it unless its monday morning. You have to be tough with yourself. You have to be your own guard. And do not listen to the voice in your head. There will be bad days. Days when you just want to give up because you feel fat, or eveyrthing is hard. And thats normal, thats part of recovery. Thats the hard times. Thats when you need to be 10 times stronger, and just eat anyway. I also suggest to make food dates - i. E. Plan to have brunch with a friend, or go for lunch with someone. Go to dinner, or invite someone for dinner. Go out for frozen yoghurt etc etc. In the end you need to challenge yourself, and it also makes sure that you eat. It makes it easier if your with someone when your eating. You should consult a professional. You can consult with me for counselin and therapy regarding this. All the best.

home remedies for anxiety

1. Chamomile

Chamomile helps calm you down and relieves anxiety. According to a 2009 study published in the Journal of Clinical Psychopharmacology, chamomile (Matricaria retutica) may help reduce anxiety symptoms in those suffering from mild to moderate Generalized Anxiety Disorder. It also promotes relaxation and drowsiness due to its mild sedative affect.
•Steep two to three teaspoons of dried chamomile, preferably German chamomile, in a cup of hot water for three to five minutes. Strain it and, if you wish, add honey and cinnamon to it. Drink this tea a few times a day for about one month or until you see improvement.
•Alternatively, take this herb in supplement form. Consult your doctor for proper dosage. Adults can generally take 400 to 1600 mg capsules in divided doses daily, or one to four ml of liquid extract three times a day.

2. Oranges

The uplifting smell of oranges and orange peels helps calm the nerves. Moreover, citrus fragrances are believed to help fight depression and boost immunity.
•Simply peeling an orange and inhaling its aroma can help uplift your mood. For better results, put a few orange peels in a pan of water and allow it to simmer. Inhale the refreshing smell to do away with your anxiety. Repeat as needed.
•You can also drink one cup of fresh orange juice mixed with one teaspoon of honey and a pinch of nutmeg powder. Drink it daily for a few days or weeks.

3. Rosemary

Rosemary is another popular home remedy for anxiety due to its calming effect. Furthermore, it stimulates circulation, relaxes the respiratory and digestive muscles, and has a positive effect on memory and alertness.
•Add one or two teaspoons of dried rosemary to one cup of hot water. Let it steep for about 10 minutes, and then strain it. Drink this tea daily until you are satisfied with the results.
•You can also use rosemary incense or add a few drops of rosemary essential oil in an aromatherapy diffuser or vaporizer.

4. Lavender

Lavender induces relaxation and relieves depression. It has a calming and soothing effect on the nervous system due to its bioactive constituents such as linalool and linalyl acetate.

Studies also indicate that it may be helpful in reducing anxiety, but further research is needed to draw conclusions about clinical anxiety disorders.
•Boil two cups of water, add two to four drops of lavender essential oil to it, and inhale the steam to ease anxiety. Repeat as needed.
•Alternatively, mix three or four drops of lavender oil in one teaspoon of almond oil, olive oil or any base oil. Use it as a massage oil on your neck, back and shoulders. Repeat daily or a few times a week until your condition improves.

5. Nutmeg

Nutmeg is an aromatic spice that promotes relaxation, fights depression and works as a muscle relaxant. Hence, it is great for treating anxiety, stress and depression. It is also believed to help improve sleep quality.

Simply inhale the smell of nutmeg oil to uplift your mood and reduce brain exhaustion. You can also add one-quarter teaspoon of nutmeg powder in your food on a regular basis.

Note: Excessive use of nutmeg is not recommended, especially for those who have psychiatric conditions.

6. Lemon Balm

Lemon balm, a member of the mint family, works as a mild relaxant and nerve tonic. Hence, it has been used for ages to reduce anxiety, promote sleep and improve appetite. You can combine it with valerian, green tea, lavender, catnip or other herbs.
•Steep one teaspoon of dried lemon balm in hot water for 10 to 15 minutes. Make sure the tea pot is covered so that the aromatic oils do not escape. Drink a cup of this tea before going to bed for a couple of weeks. Do not take it for more than two weeks at a time.
•Alternatively, take this herb in supplement form. Generally, it is suggested to take 400 mg capsules twice daily. Consult your doctor for the proper dosage to meet your needs.

Note: Do not use this herb in excess; it may make you more anxious.

7. Almonds

Almonds are loaded with nutrients, especially omega-3 fatty acids that improve your mood and help alleviate anxiety and depression. The anti-inflammatory omega-3 fatty acids fight cellular inflammation that causes a breakdown in signaling between brain cells.
1.Soak 10 almonds in water overnight.
2.The next morning, peel off the skin and grind the almonds.
3.Add this paste and a pinch of nutmeg and ginger to one cup of milk.
4.Drink it daily or a few times a week until you see improvement.

8. Fennel

fennel seeds

This wonderful herb calms the nerves and helps ease anxiety. It contains volatile oils that have an anxiolytic (anxiety-relieving) effect. Also, it reduces gastrointestinal symptoms that often accompany anxiety.

Hello,
aged 28 residing back in india need a proper diet plan for bipolar disorder I have been having this issue sinc...
I am glad that you are seeking help online. Thank you for the brief description of your problem and the fact that you are having bipolar disorder for the last 4 years. I agree that medications can be very helpful however you are seeking non medication methods to treat your problems. I am unaware of any foods that can help with your mood stabilization however many methods at psychotherapy can be helpful. If you know the difference between your symptoms and your true self i.e. Self assessment and mindfulness can be helpful. Also educating your family and friends who are near and dear about your illness and involving them in treatment when possible is helpful. Working on healthy lifestyle choices is also helpful. Also, although a combination of these may be helpful, individual treatments may be all that you need or a combination of a few of them. I advise you to consult a psychiatrist or a psychologist for further care.
