Behavioral disturbances can be a part of Parkinson's disease, and are treatable. Consult a neuropsychiatrist in person for the same and get an opinion regarding the treatment and ensure that he is given regular medication and taken for regular follow up.

Hello lybrate user, the symptoms you are describing are similar to what we call claudication. In common language, it is development of symptoms of pain etc in the lower limbs after one does some previously accustomed activity ie one was able to do those activities easily but are causing symptoms now. It occurs due two causes. Firstly, vascular problem causing decreased blood supply to the muscles of the lower limb which is now inadequate to maintain the demands of the muscle while doing activity. Secondly, neurological problem in which there is stenosis in the spinal canal which transmit the nerves from brain to the lower limbs. This stenosis causes decreased space for the nerves and their vessels causing pain in the lower limbs. With the details you have provided, and your profile, it looks more like a spinal canal stenosis. I would suggest you to see a spine surgeon or an orthopaedician for a detailed assessment. I would also suggest you forward bending exercises and exercises to strengthen your abdominal muscles. Hope this helps.

Hello Lybrate-user, Medications would only help you in controlling your depressive symptoms, and medications in the long run would create mostly dependency. In order to be able to deal with depression you need to go under Psychotherapy. Along with visiting us at our clinic, we also provide online as well as telephonic counseling sessions.

Hello. We once played a ghost prank before 3 days to scare one of my friends. It worked well, as the prank was made a bit realistic. My friend was the one who played a key role in the prank. But after that the behaviour of him is changed drastically. He acts normal, but all of a sudden he shouts at us very abnormally. And also he is starting to laugh suddenly without any reason for several minutes. But he is not recogonisng that he is acting in such a way. We have no idea whether he is continuing the prank or he is mentally affected or is there something else. How can we move up with this? Help me please.

Hi, What you can do is ask his parents whether he behaves the same way at home, with other group of people or is the behavior only limited to you all who played the prank. Observe for few days, if it doesnot get better and if you collect evidence that in general he has started behaving this way. Seek help from a psychiatrist. You may discuss other symptoms with me if any for better guidance.

I'm experiencing low memory, I forget things, low concentration. I don't know why I'm having enough sleep, diet. Suggest what should I do to have better memory.

First of all you need to do regular exercise or walking. Try resolve your anxiety level. Do some yoga. Practice deep breathing. Most important thing is meditation for 15-20 min. Initially you cannot concentrate bt by the time goes by if continually trying to meditate you can do it. And with this you need proper homeopathic treatment for this. U can also contact me through Lybrate.

10 points about Breast Pain & it's management

10 points about Breast Pain & it's management
Breast pain is a very common problem but often mistreated. Here are ten things you should know about breast pain and it's management:

1. Most common cause of pain between 15-35 years of age is fibro-cystic disease, which occurs due to hormonal fluctuations.
2. In fibrocystic disease, there is cyclical pain, which is more in intensity just before the menstrual periods
3. Cyclical pain is commonly seen in patients who are overweight and hypothyrooid.
4. Ultrasound should always be done to rule out any lumps/ cancer.
5. During these episodes of pain, try wearing a sports bra. It offers good support and reduces the pain. You can also apply anti-inflammatory gels over the site of pain.
6. Large cysts (>1.5 cm) should be aspirated - they help in reducing pain
7. Cancer usually presents as a painless lump in the breast
8. Sometimes breast pain can be due to musculo-skeletal causes.
9. If there is one particular point, where pain in occurring (specially close to the middle), then it could be due to costo-chondritis (inflammation of the joint between cartilage and bone)
10. Costo-chondritis can be managed by pain-killers and local injection of steroids

Please make sure you get yourself treated from an expert breast surgeon, who knows the various causes of breast pain and their management.

STRESS CONTROL There are many ways to tame your stress and keep it at bay. Here are 20 tips to tame your stress today, and keep the stress monsters at bay. 1. Perform diaphragmatic or deep breathing exercises. 2. Lie face down on the floor and begin breathing deeply and slowly, with your hands resting under your face. Do this for five minutes. 3. Sit in a reclining chair. Put a hand on your abdomen and a hand on your chest. As you breathe, make sure the hand on your abdomen is moving up and down rather than one on your chest. If the hand on your abdomen is moving you are breathing deeply and slowly. 4. Try progressive muscle relaxation or “deep muscle” relaxation. Progressively tense and relax each muscle group in your body. Learn the difference between muscle tension and relaxation. 5. Meditate. Use visualization or imagery to help you learn to be one with your thoughts. Sit quietly with your eyes closed, imagining the sights, sounds and smells of your favorite place, such as a beach or mountain retreat. 6. Exercise regularly or take up yoga. 7. Consult a psychologist about the use of biofeedback 8. Make time for music, art or other hobbies that help relax and distract you. 9. Learn to identify and monitor stressors. Come up with an organized plan for handling stressful situations. Be careful not to overgeneralize negative reactions to things. 10. Make a list of the important things you need to handle each day. Try to follow the list so you feel organized and on top of things. Put together a coping plan step by step so you have a sense of mastery. 11. Keep an eye on things that might suggest you’re not coping well. For example, are you smoking or drinking more, or sleeping less? 12. Keep a list of the large and little hassles in your day versus the major stressful events in your life. This helps you focus on the fact that you’re keeping track of and managing those as well as you can. 13. Set aside a time every day to work on relaxation.
