Dr. Siddhartha Mani is an Interventional Cardiologist in the Department of Cardiology at Rabindranath Tagore International Institute of Cardiac Sciences, Kolkata. He has done his MBBS, MD in Internal Medicine and DM in Cardiology from Medical College Kolkata . He was awarded Prof. Sital Ghosh Memorial Award for MD in Medicine and received Gold Medal for DM Cardiology from The West Bengal University of Health Sciences. He has a practising experience for 12 years. He is associated with Cardiological Society of India and is a Member of prestigious American College of Cardiology and European Society of Cardiology. He is a regular speaker at various National and International conferences. He has more than 30 publications in various International and National Indexed Journals and has written a number of chapters in different text books of Cardiology. He regularly performs various interventional procedures including Coronary Angiography, Coronary and RenalAngioplasty, Pacemaker implantation, AICD and CRT-D implantation, Balloon Mitral Valvuloplasty, LAA closure, TAVI, IVC filters etc. His area of interest includes complex multiple vessel coronary angioplasties and Primary Angioplasties.

All medicines have side effects. But they are prescribed for some good effect also. So if advised by a doctor then follow that. Pedal swelling is common but nothing to worry unless it is too much.

Atenolol 200 is a quite high dose. Need to consult your cardiologist whether you really need it. Have a close monitoring of your heart rate.
