I have severe pain in leg above knee. It could be of muscle pain. Taking Nuclear-40 and theories-AP but no results.

Quadriceps exercises- lie straight, make a towel role and put it under the knee, press the keen against the role, hold it for 20 secs. Repeat 20 times twice a day. This will help relieve some pain. Core strengthening exercise- straight leg raised with toes turned outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day. Hams stretching- lie straight, take the leg up, pull the feet towards yourself, with a elastic tube or normal belt. Repeat 10 times, twice a day.

Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Spring beds, folding beds or thick matress are harmful use no pillow under the head. Do hot fomantation. Paracetamol 250mg od & sos x 5days. Caldikind plus 1tab od x10. Do neck, back & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. You will need other supportive medicines also. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. If it does not give relief in 4-5days, contact me again. Do not ignore. It could be beginning of a serious problem.

To remove the swelling apply ice firmly and slowly over the affected area as it will reduce the inflammation and swelling. And perform some ankle exercises. If pain occurs while moving ankle go for proper investigation to rule out the exact cause.

Gentle massage over the affected part with lukewarm herbal pain relieving oil for 20 minutes followed by hot fomentation. It will relax the muscles and the veins of your affected part improving the blood supply to the organ and giving strength to it. Please avoid over-use of the part affected i. E. Lifting weight - pushing or pulling heavy objects. Give proper rest to the part - let it heal with the time. This will greatly help.

Fix These 3 Common Posture Blunders that can Permanently Damage Your Body
Improve Your Posture Before it’s too Late

A good posture makes you stand tall. The right body posture is crucial for a healthy and strong, disease-free body. A correct body posture can help to alleviate all kinds of problems that might arise due to the practice of wrong posture such as chronic neck pain, back pain, and headache among others. Here’s how to avoid some of the common posture blunders:

1. Hunchback

You may know that sitting for long hours is bad for your health, but sitting hunched over the computer screen is especially harmful for your spine. When you’re in this posture, the chest muscles of your body tighten causing the top of the spinal column to form a C-shape. This can lead to pain in the back, shoulder and neck. To prevent your spine from curving in this manner, you can do the bhujangasana pose to strengthen your back.

2. Forward head

Likewise, sitting in a stooped manner in front of the computer can cause the problem of forward head and associated neck pain. Performing head nods on a daily basis can provide respite from the ache. For this, move your head towards the neck until your chin touches your neck. Hold on to this position for 5 seconds before going back to your original position. Repeat as needed.

3. Rounded shoulders

Intense training of the chest muscles or typing while not sitting straight can cause your shoulders to swivel forward, leading to rounded shoulders. This can prevent your arms from working at their full capacity while running or hamper your breathing ability while performing strenuous activities. One of the ways that you can fix this postural blunder is by doing some stretching exercises to relax your chest muscles.This workout can be easily done anywhere, as all you need is a doorway. Position your arms against one side of the doorway with your elbows bent at 90 degrees. Then, stretch your chest and shoulder muscles by placing your foot through the doorway. Hold the posture for about 30 seconds Whether your postural problem is mild or severe, it can affect your overall health and performance.

Wrong posture can cause you to experience skeletal system disorders such as kyphosis (outward curving of the spine) or lordosis (inward curving of the spine). If not corrected in time, the wrong body posture can also impact your self-confidence.

Innitially apply ice and crepe bandage to affected knee. You will require static quadriceps and hamstring exercises. If no relief in 3 weeks and pain continues or you r not comfortable with your knee, you will require to get mri of the affected knee.

Hello, Is there any history of injury or hurt to the area? Any underlying medical condition? Share the reports with me (if any) along with rest of the details. I am 46 years old and my weight is 83 kgs height 5.6. Usually I am having pain in my my legs. And also joint pain. Since quit along time. I drive around 60 kms daily. I feel lazy and feel weakness. What could be the cause. I am having cholstrol also rest all test are normal.

The problem is you are overweight. Reduce at least 10 kgs by following strict diet restriction like avoiding junk food, sweets maids based foods etc. Do lot of exercises, morning and evenings. Take flax seeds oil regularly for 3 months. Further do the following. Identify the mid point between the ankle bone and tendons and give pressure with a blunt edge on either side of your foot for 2 minutes. Also give pressure in the web between 2nd and 3rd finger from your toe for 2 minutes. Finally give a good massage for both feet in hot water. Identify the dipping portion on the back of your knee folding. Press this dip with both middle fingers and hold your knee with your thumbs for support. Please swing 20 times morning and evenings. This will relieve your problem. Consult after 10 days.

My mom have heavy pain in knee and foot. Once she had steroid injection in her foot at the calcaneous bone region. At that time it was okay and after 2 months, it had developed again. Knee pain after playing badminton is usually because of either meniscus tear or a ligament tear. Do you feel any instability while walking? Instability is because of ligament injury or meniscus injury. If there is click inside knee joint, usually it is because of meniscus tear. Apply ace, use crepe bandage. Best thing to do is visit a doctor - an orthopaedic surgeon who is Specialist in knee surgery. He will clinically examine you for your problem and decide treatment. You may need MRI. Either you will be given some medicine and rest or you will be referred to Therapist for Exercises. Follow protocol provided by orthopaedic Surgeon.

Sir, in your case, without properly assessing your knee joints, their mobility, flexibility, etc and without any x ray or bone scan, its difficult to say what exactly is the problem and tell the proper treatment. But, i'll advice, just have a look at your feet or get it checked by someone in family or even a physiotherapist, if you visit for your knee pain problem. There is something known as" flat feet" every person has a curvature, called" arches" in their feet, around the middle portion. In some it is high, in some low, in some normal, and in some its so low that the feet appears to be flat when place on ground. You can compare your arches with someone in family or google it. If you have flat feet or low medial arch, then it can be the real cause for your pain, coz it affects the load bearing or shock absorbing power of your knees, and so when you run, the force from the ground affects your knees much more. In such cases, you have to go for shoe modification, using readymade footwear or insoles having medial arch support, or customize them according to your need.

Your symptoms have been there since 1 week, would like to know were you suffering from any illness like fever etc before the onset of symptoms? is this the first episode of such kind of pain if your symptoms have been there since 1 week only with no other systemic symptoms, then I will ask you to take a short course of anti inflammatory medication, start calcium and vitamin d supplements as well.
