A major cause of tooth sensitivity is root exposure. We need more investigations with clinical examination to decide upon treatment. You may need cleaning along with desensitizing procedures and / or artificial enamel filling and / or root canal treatment. Advance procedures can be done with laser too. Until then apply a desensitizing paste (sensodyne tooth paste) on the teeth. Wait for 10 to 15 min until you brush your teeth with the same paste. Applying it overnight will be better. Advance procedures can be done with laser. Dental tips: - visit a dentist every six months for cleaning and a thorough dental check-up. Limit sugary food to avoid tooth decay. Calculus as in stones deposited in gums results in swelling by irritating it and when there is inflammation there will be bleeding ofcourse. So you need to use a good mouthwash as recommended by a dentist and then go for scaling and polishing to remove the calculus. Once its removed then naturally the swelling and bleeding will stop.

Hello as per your query a continuous and throbbing toothache radiating to ear and side of the head can be due to tooth infection caused by caries in the oral cavity. In case the toothache is only surrounding the tooth then it will be due to food lodgement in the gums through a cavity between 2 adjacent teeth. Do pay a visit to a dentist.
