I am a 35 year old male, and having right hand and shoulder pain from about 3 months. It started with neck pain, which went down in the center of the back, and then in the right shoulder and then now is in right hand and right shoulder. Its a vibrating pain with sometimes numbness in the fingers and palm. Initially had taken neurokind g prescribed by family physician, when there was no improvement for 1 month, I consulted a neurologist who got the mri scan done and as per the report - screening of cervical spine reveals loss of lordosis with anterior and posterior osteophytosis. Disc dessication noted at all levels. Diffuse disc bulges noted at c3-4, c5-6 and c6-7 (bilateral paramedian) levels causing bilateral foraminal stenosis at c6-7 with bilateral c7 nerve root compression and thecal sac indentation. Central canal and spinal cord appears normal. Incidental finding: mucosal thickening is noted in the bilateral sphenoid sinuses-suggestive of sinusitis. Prescribed maxgalin 75 g one in the night with soft neck collar to be worn for 3 weeks and shoulder exercises. When there was no much improvement nerve conduction study was done. Result - present ncs is suggestive of mild right ulnar sensory axonopathy. Maxgalin 75 increased to two in a day for 2 weeks continuing the soft collar neck. Please advise what should I do?

It could be due to cervical spondylosis this is quite a common condition rule out diabetes & vit. D deficiency or any other metabolic disorder. Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Use no pillow under the head. Any way take bio d3 max 1tab odx10days ibuprofen 200mg od & sos x 5days do neck & back (spine) exercises contact me again if need be. Use of cervical collar will give you relief. It may have to be further investigated. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take.

I am 45 years old and working in bank as a cashier, I am suffering from pain in my right shoulder for more than 1 year. I consulted two ortho experts, they x rayed my shoulder in different angles and prescribed medicine which is of no use, the pain still persisting. Can any body guide how to get rid of this ?

Hi take cold and hot water fomentation thrice a day for 5 days. Start physiotherapy treatment as you will get relif from ultrasound therpy. Best wishes.

Dear user, is it the pain you are suffering from is in the leg or from the hip. It may be sciatic pain. Apply diclofenac ointment with heat fermentation. This will reduce your pain.

This back pain is due to no back exercise. Due to this muscle get stiff. When suddenly you get move fast that time this stiff muscle get break and pain start. In ayurved there is mentioned one procedure kati basti. Do this for five days with medicated oil if you want to do it you should do it under doctor observation. So consult ayurvedic doctor near you. You will definitely get good result.

It is important to know how to use an exercise bike the right way. If your posture is poor, you'll reduce your overall results and may even cause injury to your neck, back, knee and hips. Making right adjustments of your equipment will allow you to pedal fast, hard and without worrying about posture or too much pressure on joints. 1) Seat - you'll want a height in which your legs are slightly bent when pedaling. You never want your legs to be fully bent or fully straight. 2) Handlebars - if your static cycle offers handlebar adjustments then choose a position that enables your arms to be fully extended. 3) Feet - do not pedal with your toes. Use your complete foot. 4) Back Posture - your back should be straight. Donot bend forward to grab handlebars or pedal. If you do so, you are putting excess pressure on your back and neck. 5) Footwear - always wear good sport shoes/ sneakers when pedaling. Never opt for barefoot cycling. Follow the above rules while cycling and I ensure You will never bother your joints.

Hello lybrate-user, I suggest that you get your vitamin d and sodium test done. Vitamin d deficiency can cause leg pain and sodium water imbalance can cause dehydration.

Standing calf stretch Stand away from a wall and. Put your fight foot behind you and be sure your toes are facing forward. Lean forward at the ankle while bending the right knee and keeping your heel on the ground. Hold this for 30 to 60 seconds. Repeat 10 times a twice a day. Downward dog yoga stretch Get down on all fours with your hands under your shoulders on the floor. Walk your hands forward slightly on the floor. Spread your fingers apart to allow for a broad base of support. Push your hips up toward the ceiling and tighten your abdominal muscles. Keep your heels on the ground and gently try and straighten your knees. Repeat 10 times a twice a day. Wall calf stretch Stand about two feet away from a wall. Place the ball of your right foot against the wall while your heel remains on the ground. Slowly and gently lean into the wall while keeping your knee straight. Hold this for 5 seconds. Repeat 10 times twice a day. Downward dog yoga stretch Get down on all fours with your hands under your shoulders on the floor. Walk your hands forward slightly on the floor. I am 37 years old. I am having anklosing spondylitis for. 10 years now i'm taking etacept in fifteen days but I also face tge problem of excessive thirst and dryness what I should do.?

I have no experience of using etacept injection. Anyway kindly show me digital x rays of affected part. Rule out diabetes & vit. D deficiency or any other metabolic disorder. Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Spring beds, folding beds or thick matress are harmful use no pillow under the head. Do hot fomantation. Ibuprofen 200mg od & sos x 5days bio d3 max 1tab od x10 do deep breathing & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. You will need other supportive medicines also. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. Do reply back for detailed treatment plan. Do not ignore. It could be beginning of a serious problem.

I am 72 years old male. Due to compression in the nerve root of my L5S1 in the lumber spine few years back, a Neurosurgeon laminated it. Still there has not been any significant improvement and still I am having acute pain in lower back. Medicines prescribed me was : Pregabid ME 75, tryptomer 10, etc. Kindly advice me what to do and prescribe me any medicine so that I may be relieved gradually and the pain gets reduce to a bigger extent.

Apply hot fomentation twice daily. Avoid bending in front. Postural correction- sit tall, walk tall. Extension exercises x 15 times x twice daily - lying on tummy, take left arm up for 3 seconds, then bring it down, right arm up for 3 seconds, bring down. Bring right leg up, hold for 3 seconds, bring it down. Then right leg up and hold for 3 seconds and bring it down. Repeat twice a day- 10 times. Bhujang asana -- lie flat on your stomach, keeping the palms out, bend the neck backward, take a deep breath and while holding it for 6 seconds, raise the chest up. Release breath and relax your body. Repeat the exercise 15 times twice daily. Core strengthening exercises- straight leg raised with toes turned outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day.

Back exercises. Many people go to physiotherapists with back pain. Here are two exercises that help to relieve pain and reduce stiffness in the back: •Dear, 1. Lie on your back with both of your legs straight. In this position, bring your left knee up close to your chest. Hold this position for 10 seconds. Return your leg to the straight position. Repeat with the right leg. •2. Stand up with your arms on your side. Bend to the left side while slowly sliding your left hand down your left leg. Come back up slowly and relax. Repeat with the right side of your body.

Pain in the joint is an eventuality that only few can escape. It is an ailment that comes with age and promises to stay despite continued attempts at eradicating it. Being a problem that many are battling, it has provoked attempts at treating it. Various disciplines of medicines have tried in their own ways in dealing with this problem, but Ayurveda with its strict reliance on natural products and aversion to chemicals has been most preferred.

The various ways by which Ayurveda treats joint pains are:

  1. Massage: Ayurveda focuses on massages as a remedial measure. Using few herbal oils and using them to massage regularly on the affected joints has been an accepted remedy for joint pains. A massage promotes blood circulation and creates a calming effect.
  2. Hot and cold compresses: The effectiveness of this form of treatment has remained prevalent through generations. Extremely convenient and easy to use, you can use hot and cold compresses alternatively to ease the pain.
  3. Fenugreek: Fenugreek seeds have a long standing reputation of relieving you of pain. Boasting of antioxidant properties and the ability to reduce swelling, they must be finely grounded and swallowed with lukewarm water to enjoy best results.
  4. Turmeric: In the hierarchy of Ayurvedic medications, turmeric probably ranks the highest. It is packed with multiple benefits. Not only does it take care of the skin, it also helps in reducing joint pains. The most common way of having it is by mixing turmeric in a glass of warm milk and honey.
  5. Apple cider vinegar: Apple cider vinegar reduces joint pains by effectively eliminating the accumulated toxins. It is rich in magnesium and phosphorus and owing to its alkalizing effect, it has the ability to cure rheumatism.

All these products are nonsense. At nineteen yes age bone height completed.So no use of any drugs. Better you go for swimming. it can give some benefits.

Hi consult orthopaedic doctor for repositioning joint. After the shoulder bone is repositioned by orthopaedic doctor, you can start physiotherapy treatment to reduce pain and swelling. 1) ice your shoulder to reduce pain and swelling. Do it for 20-30 minutes every three to four hours, for 2 to 3 days or longer. 2) use a sling or shoulder immobilizer to prevent further injury. 3) take medicines as prescribed by doctor. 4) practice stretching and strengthening exercises as prescribed by physiotherapist.
