Dear lybrate-user, After reading your question, I read one of the articles. It said, "Not to mention, alcohol can impair your judgement and decision-making, so it’s harder to resist foods even when you know they give you indigestion or diarrhea. Drunk You will convince yourself that chili cheese fries at 3 a.m. Are always always a good idea. So, come online text or audio with all the details of type, quantity, munches with alcohol, food after alcohol, liver function tests, blood sugar, lipase, amylase, other tablets and medical diseases. You can find a remedy yourself after discussing with me. Right now the remedy is - why not stop alcohol and see whether your problems is only due to alcohol.

Its not a serious issue. But yes when a child has astigmatism he or she has to wear his glasses continously. Prescribed by an ophthalmologist. Get his eye check up done every 6 monthly. For a child dilatation is required to find out the correct amount of refractive error or exact number of glasses. And after 4 days of dilatation get a glasses done. If you notice bend in glass or broken glass. Orr head tilting by him or her. Report to the doctor.

I am 28 years old and well in physical conditions and have no disease. But last week I had sudden feeling of fainting during eating but did not faint. Its last upto 1 minutes to become normal again . Hello u don't have to worry much,u please check ur haemoglobin,always keep a check on ur blood sugar n bp,,just keep urself hydrated,eat small frequent meals,Reduce too much of stress n tension..if u have one more incidence of same sought then u can cosult a homoeopathic doctor..

Avoid bending in front. Postural correction- sit tall, walk tall. Extension exercises x 15 times x twice daily. Bhujang asana. Core strengthening exercises. Back stretching. Do the cat/cow stretch.

Are long Distance Athletes like marathon & 10,000 meter professional athletes in India prone to getting diabetes since the running done is the most. There is no such gym workout that is done by such kind of athletes. Unlike a Sprint runner who does only 100m, 200m or long jump or hurdles, a long distance is mostly running or a 3000 steplechase. Also, diabetes is on the insulin level in the body. I'm a middle distance runner. Hence, i'm asking this question.

In a word, YES. Long distance runners can also develop diabetes, though the chances are much lesser than those in non-athletes. Diabetes doesn't mean the person has low Insulin alone. It means both that the person's body isn't producing enough Insulin for his/her requirements (known as Insulin deficiency) AND also that the Insulin that is produced is NOT able to exert its influence efficiently (a phenomenon known as Insulin Resistance). Thus, diabetes means both Insulin deficiency PLUS Insulin resistance and also a host of other metabolic derangements. I don't want to bore you any further...

Dark circle is a symptom of udavarta (improper functions of all vaat). It's mainly due to 1) dharniya vega (urges, should b controlled, we you aren't) like chinta-stress, bhaya-fear, shoka-, krodha-short temper, maan- ego, lobha-greedy etc mental condition you should control yourself 2) adharniya vega (urges that should not be controlled, but we are controling) like sleep, urine, stool, hunger, thirst, yawn, sneeze, vomit etc. Think deeply. It's a very spiritual concept main treatment is to stop causative factor among this. So manage your sleep & time. Also there are some ayurveda medicine, lepa-cream, face treatment, or panchakarma (detoxification) will definitely help you you can use kumkumadi ointment of nagarjun pharma. It will lighten your circle. You can try these things given below - 1. Take a deep breath- you can repeat several times: Inhale slowly to a count of four, starting at your belly and then moving into your chest. Gently hold your breath for four counts. Then slowly exhale to four counts. 2. Get active- a brisk 30- to 60-minute walk “releases endorphins that lead to a reduction in stress.” You can start today by taking a walk. Or create a list of physical activities that you enjoy, and put them on your schedule for the week. Other options include: running, rowing, rollerblading, hiking, biking, dancing, swimming, surfing, step aerobics, kickboxing and sports such as soccer, tennis and basketball. 3. Sleep well- Not getting enough sleep can trigger anxiety. If you’re having trouble sleeping, tonight, engage in a relaxing activity before bedtime, such as taking a warm bath, listening to soothing music or taking several deep breaths 4. Challenge an anxious thought - “We all have moments wherein we unintentionally increase or maintain our own worry by thinking unhelpful thoughts. These thoughts are often unrealistic, inaccurate, or, to some extent, unreasonable 5. Say an encouraging statement- Positive, accurate statements can help to put things into perspective 6. Stay connected to others- “Social support is vital to managing stress. “Talking with others can do a world of good.” Another option is to get together and engage in an activity that improves your stress, such as taking a walk, sitting on the beach or going to a yoga class. 7. Avoid caffeine- there are some substances that exacerbate anxiety. Caffeine is one of those substances. 8. Avoid mind-altering substances- “While drugs and alcohol might help to reduce anxiety in the short term, they often do just the opposite in the long term 9. Do something you enjoy- Engaging in enjoyable activities helps to soothe your anxiety. For instance, today, you might take a walk, listen to music or read a book 10. Take a break- It’s also helpful to build breaks into your day, a “simple change of pace or scenery, enjoying a hobby, or switching ‘to-do’ tasks.” “Breaking from concerted effort can be refreshing.” 11. Problem-solve - how you can address the stressors that are causing your anxiety. Today, make a list of these stressors and next to each one, jot down one or two solutions. 12. Pick up a book- There are many valuable resources on anxiety, which teach you effective coping skills sorting out the above things will help you avoid STRESS and its effects. Brief knowledge about causes of PCOS

I'm Dr. Sunita Gupta. I'm Consultant Gynecologist at Max Hospitals, Saket, and Panchsheel. Today I'm going to talk about Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome.

Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome consists of three symptoms. One is Anovulation. Anovulation means there is no egg formulation in the ovary. Second is Hyperandrogenism which an is excess of male hormones in the body, and third is Cyst in the body which is visible in the ultrasound. So the main symptoms of Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome are obesity. Most of the patients of Polycystic ovary have obesity. Obesity worsens the Polycystic Ovary Syndrome and it is a vicious cycle and Polycystic Ovarian people have more obesity because what happens is that the female hormones get deposited in the fat and that's why there is deficiency of female hormone in blood of Polycystic patients and all that's why the male hormones starts dominating the system and all the male symptoms start appearing like acne, hair on the face or on he body, excessive hair on the body, irregular cycles. So, obesity is the main culprit in the patients. So, if they lose weight then all the symptoms regress because the hormone in the fat goes back to the blood and all the hormonal imbalance gets corrected and all the acne and facial hair everything will disappear.

Second thing is acne which is very common in Polycystic Ovarian patients. So many times patient go to a skin specialist for acne treatment and then they discover they have Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome. So for acne is again because of male hormones in the blood and sometimes it a response to local applications which the skin specialist gives to them. But sometimes they need to take hormonal treatment. We give the oral contraceptive pills to these patients for correcting the acne. Basically the oral contraceptive pills have perfect combination of female hormones which your body, ovary should be producing. But the in case of Polycystic ovaries the ovary is producing more of male hormones, little bit more male hormones.

So once we give pills from outside the body gets the signal that there are enough hormone in the blood and there is no need to make any more hormone. So the ovaries stops working and the male hormones also stop getting formed and all the symptom then gets regressed till the patient is on he pills. Once the patients stops the pills again the ovaries take over, again the male hormone starts getting formed by the ovaries and again the symptoms may slowly appear. So once the patient has been kept on OCPs for 6 months she may become alright for 1-2 years and again the symptoms may come back.

So Polycystic Ovary disease is a not disease which can be cured by a 6 months treatment or a one week treatment like any fever or antibiotic you give and the patient becomes alright. This is a lifestyle disease which is going to be there for the rest of your life. You can keep it under control by having a healthy lifestyle or maybe taking some medication if required or you if let it go if you allow yourself to gain weight then it can become worse and get out of hand.

Follow these best methods to easily gain weight and get a healthy body - 1. To gain weight, your digestion should work properly for proper digestion - take 10 gms powder of carom seeds (ajwain, 10 gm powder of cumin (jeera), 10 gm of rock salt. You can try protein powders like milk powder, soya protein for weight gain by taking 1 tea spoon added in milk once a day. I assure you that you definitely gain weight fastly by following them. Use a salicylic acid/ glycolic acid based face wash. Get your comedones extracted regularly. Use a water based moisturizer, even oily skin needs hydration. scrub your face two times in week. Use a mud mask weekly. Take salicylic acid or glycolic acid peels every fifteen days or month to improve skin texture, control acne and reduce scars and marks. Take a well balanced nutritious diet and exercise daily. Avoid face massages or application of greasy cosmetics and oils.
