I was suffering from mild depression, doctor suggested me, respin 1 & tretin 20, I took the medicine for last 4 yrs, later I stopped the medicine suddenly, but now my body power is getting low, I could not raise my hand properly I feel like a pain, feel very lazy, have a muscular pain, I don't know what exactly happened to me, these r the side effect or what?

Hi, please take medication for as long as prescribed and suggested by a doctor. Its not recommended to leave taking it on your own because then again these symptoms can show. You should show to a psychiatrist and continue with the medicines. Apart from that be active do exercise/yoga/ deep breathing to fight the stressors. If you are feeling any particular stress you can consult me.

You can take(If No drug allergy) : 1. Tablet Crocin (Paracetamol 500 mg) one tablet after food when required for headache after food for 2-3 days (maximum 2 tablets with gap of 12 hour can be taken in a day) measure your temperature Consult me for further management

I am a 19 yr old. I am facing problem in socializing. Also I have lost ethusiasm in everything I am afraid I will spend all of my young age being depressed.

Hold it, not so fast to give up on life. You are so young and have a whole life ahead of you and yet thinking so negatively. You must be seriously depressed. But do not give up hope. There are so many things to do. First, visit a counselor and discuss your problem at length. If necessary take your parents and your entire developmental history from prenatal days till today. Also it would help if you took your family history from your grandparents onwards. The counselor will help identify the origins and give you a series of things to do. If your depression is really severe, that person may suggest a doctor? s visit too. Now cooperate with both of the therapies for the best results, for a substantially long time. Do not discontinue the counseling, if you are on medication. You must be active and work towards your reformation. Many lifestyle changes need to be made to progress away for the condition. When you are depressed, you will feel lazy though I would like to call it lethargy. There is an inertia and lack of energy to even think, let alone act. You are required to literally do the opposite of what you feel like doing. Depression makes you want to withdraw, lie down, sleep, become lethargic, slow down, make you too lazy to even think etc. So when I suggested doing the opposite, you will need to fight this disease. You must become active; stay upright during the daylight time; meet people; never sleep during the day, wake up by 6 am every day, play some active games, especially contact games, do physical exercises, talk to people and join some social clubs, eat more of proteins and vegetables, attend yoga classes etc. Watch sitcoms on tv or comedies and cheer yourself up. Go for excursions in groups, for outings, camps, conferences, and religious conventions. Get a pet dog and spend time training it, exercising it and relating to it. Expose yourself to some sunlight every day, at least 30 minutes but not in the scotching heat. Whatever happens, please incorporate these three important adaptations in your life: always be responsible, be respectful, and be functional. If you did these three things, lots of things will go well in life. Please pray and have faith in god to alleviate your sufferings. Don? t wait for others to help. Use your own motivation, which might be at its lowest, but persevere and win this battle. You are young and you can do it with some commitment.

u require a proper psychiatric treatment if its a deoression,there are pills called as anti depressants which will balance your chemicals and cure your deopression,psychotherapy also plays an im[ortant role.it would give u a confidence,start yoga to maintain a chemical balance. so please dont hssitate to take a treatment.

My sister is a drug addict what should I do now to stop her from having drugs and all these things.

You have to admit your sister into a rehabilitation program for at least 6 months to cure her of this addiction. If she has had mental problems too then she may require psychiatric care as well. Even after rehabilitation she must continue addiction counseling for at least three years to completely remove the physical and psychological conditioning and craving. She will be told and taught new lifestyles, schedules, habits etc. to totally recover. She must work on the oral issue, the rigid value system, the genetic factor and the script issue. Many people will not be able to resolve drug addiction in particular if they do not reach their ‘Hitting Rock Bottom’, i.e. the worst stage in their addiction to finally want to reform. Unfortunately for some unlucky few that can be death. So do be careful and do not delay seeking help now. If there are relapses, do not get too alarmed and give up. She must again persevere and fight this battle until she comes out victorious. The family members and medical fraternity must be there for her right through this recovery. She will also need to attend Narcotics Anonymous meetings for a long time too after the treatment is over. The worse is if she is not yet ready and willing you will most likely fight a losing battle. But keep trying until you succeed.

You must check with a Yoga teacher about exercises for improving memory. The following foods do help too: Blueberries, walnuts, turmeric, Spinach, tomatoes, broccoli, acorn squash, green tea, oily fish, boiled egg, turkey, apples, oatmeal, leafy greens, lentils, pumpkin seeds, avocado, cinnamon, thyme, sunflower seeds, and red wine. Avoid sugar and junk food. You may also include these noted foods that are good for your brain health: Brain-Friendly Foods MIND stands for Mediterranean-DASH Intervention for Neurodegenerative Delay. But the MIND approach “specifically includes foods and nutrients that medical literature and data show to be good for the brain, such as berries,” says Martha Clare Morris, ScD, director of nutrition and nutritional epidemiology at Rush University Medical Center. You eat things from these 10 food groups: •Green leafy vegetables (like spinach and salad greens): At least six servings a week •Other vegetables: At least one a day •Nuts: Five servings a week •Berries: Two or more servings a week •Beans: At least three servings a week •Whole grains: Three or more servings a day •Fish: Once a week •Poultry (like chicken or turkey): Two times a week •Olive oil: Use it as your main cooking oil. •Wine: One glass a day You avoid: •Red meat: Less than four servings a week •Butter and margarine: Less than a tablespoon daily •Cheese: Less than one serving a week •Pastries and sweets: Less than five servings a week •Fried or fast food: Less than one serving a week.

Hi lybrate-userthanks for the query relation between lovers or any couple is like bicycle and couples are like their wheels when there will be balance then it will run smoothly and when there will be any type of disturbance in any wheel it will lead to disbalance in your what you can do is to talk clearly and if she says no then you must stop any type of contact with her because you will gain nothing and your life will be like hell. Try to divert your mind involve yourself in some other activity make some new friends. May be you are thinking that you can convince her but if there will be any chance then it can be only by giving some space in your relation. Take care.

Congratulations, thanks god and your parents that you got such a track changing thought, now bring in to reality. Have firm decision, decide time limit, take oath before god or parents. Leave every thing gradually to avoid withdrawal symptoms. Do reasonable exercises, yoga postures, meditation, chant liking mantra, visit temple, worship parents by touching feet, do all regular. Have regular sleep, both two times, be in 2-3 good friends company. Consume fruits, fresh juices, dry fruits etc. You need detox process

Dear, Welcome to lybrate. Low concentration is hormonal problem upto one extent. You must be able to understand Concentration, attention span, recollection and distraction. If you are able to watch a movie for two hours continuously, if you are able to play a game for an hour, then you do not have any concentration problems. You can't be attentive towards your studies because you are not interested in it. You are able to watch movie and play game because you are interested in it. Human cannot be attentive towards anything for more than 10 minutes. If the task is boring, it is natural that that person will sleep or feel sleepy. Then you should study in such a way that your attention is continued and make the subjects are interesting to you. Effective learning techniques should help you. Recollection depends on anxiety, stress and other physical and circumstantial factors. Distractions while studying are plentiful. You should be able to overcome distractions or avoid distractions. Please understand the above. Change your study style and attitude accordingly. Please search internet for "effective learning" techniques or you may consult a psychologist. Take care.
