Morning sickness is one of the unpleasant experiences during pregnancy. Some women dread at the thought of it. It is more common in the first 12 weeks of pregnancy, especially with the first child. Allopathy attributes this to hormonal changes, vitamin deficiency, dehydration, etc.   Homeopathy believes that this morning sickness happens with the physical, emotional, and biological adjustments that the mother has to make with the new baby growing within her. As with all conditions, homeopathy believes in not just giving a medication to cure the nausea but to identify the associated symptoms and manage the woman as a whole entity.

Some of the popular homeopathic options available are listed below:

  1. Colchicum:  The mere thought of food intensifies the nausea, especially fish and eggs. Any movement increases the nausea. There is an urge to consume carbonated drinks. The woman chooses to sleep with her knees drawn close to the chest.
  2. Sepia: The smell and thought of food worsens the nausea sensation. There is a craving for vinegar, sweets, and pickles.  There is a feeling of heaviness in the pelvis. This exhaustion leaves you with a feeling of indifference to close family and friends.  Exercise can improve the feeling.
  3. Pulsatilla: Staying in a closed, stuffy room make the nausea worse.  Being out in the open air makes it better.  Walking makes it better. The craving for sweet and fatty foods is high, but that worsens the nausea.  Water consumption is reduced. Mood is unpredictable, wanting comfort and reassurance.
  4. Nux Vomica: The woman wakes up from bed with a nausea, but not able to vomit out. The woman is hyperstimulated and feels very anxious and stressed.  Light and sound can also add to the irritation. There is a strong insomnia component to this woman. 
  5. Cocculus indicus:  Loss of appetite, with even the thought or smell or sight of food making you nauseous.  There is a highly tired and fatigued feeling.  The person can feel chills, vertigo, and loss of sleep. The symptoms are usually worse in the afternoon.
  6. Ipecacuanha:  The nausea is severe and constant, but is not relieved with vomiting.  There is profuse salivation and constant spitting. 
  7. Tabacum: The nausea in this woman is persistent, is worse when in a warm room, and induced by even the slightest smell of tobacco. The nauseas feels better when there is fresh air movement, might ask for the car windows to be open.  There is also an urge to leave the abdomen uncovered.

In addition to these, some tips to avoid morning sickness include eating a dry cracker before getting out of bed, avoiding fatty foods for dinner, drinking plenty of water, and including a lot of ginger in your diet.

Proteins are extremely important for your health. Protein is present in every cell of your body, it generally makes up your hair and nails along with keratin. Your body needs various supplements to stay healthy, such as fats and carbohydrates. These are called macronutrients (you need to consume it in huge amounts to stay hale and hearty).

Where can you find protein?

  1. It is present in milk, fish, eggs and meat.
  2. If you happen to be a vegan you can consume soy, beans, legumes and nut butter.
  3. Protein bars, Greek yogurt, cottage cheese, anchovies, peanut butter, tofu, wheat germ, quinoa and edamame also contain a high amount of protein.

Why should you consume protein?

  1. It can reduce the risk of diabetes by producing natural insulin and progesterone protein.
  2. The substance called hemoglobin carries oxygen to your blood cells. So without hemoglobin oxygen would not be supplied to your muscles.
  3. If you have a heat shock, proteins can help reduce the stress and rebuild your cells.
  4. If you have lack of protein in your diet, it will be difficult for you to move and can also result in paralysis.
  5. Since protein is present in your hair and nails, it also helps to make your skin taut and look younger since structural protein includes collagen. There are a lot of products available in the market like collagen creams; since collagen contains protein it is not possible that creams containing proteins applied on the skin can make your skin better. It is highly necessary to consume protein such that your blood flow contains proteins. This will make your skin seem youthful.
  6. After a surgery, it is important that you stack up on protein, because protein helps to close your wounds and make them heal faster.
  7. Protein shakes are also very useful when you want to attain a healthier physique after hitting the gym. During a workout, your body goes through a lot of micro-tears (wear and tear caused in your muscle due to contraction of your muscle). So taking protein shakes after a heavy workout helps your muscle tissues to be healed completely.

Hi, If the pain is in the upper abdomen, there is no need to worry. Take rest for sometime. It will be OK. But do an urine examination for confirmation of the pregnancy. Do not lift heavy weights in future if the pregnancy is confirmed.

If you don't use contraceptive methods any sexual intercourse can result in pregnancy so to avoid it in future use contraceptive methods like condoms oral birth control pills cuT etc any method suitable to you

Please note sperm motility is on lower side , for that you have already started on medicines. We would recommend you should continue with these medicines for atleast 3 months and should go for IUI. Please also get your wife AMH done.

Get urine checked for pregnancy today. 7th jan was last date. If negative, do the test again after a week. Or get blood tested for beta hcg hormone to be sure about pregnancy.

The fertile days are day 12 -17 of the period if no conception within a few mths better both of get investigated.

it will take some effort for you to flatten your tummy. I am outlining a 21 day plan for you. If you follow this plan sincerely then you will see a noticeable difference in just 21 days. There are 5 things that you need to do: 1. Eliminate all refined sugars from your diet. This means no sugar in your tea/coffee/milk, no consumption of sugary beverages like coke, pepsi and total elimination of all snacks like biscuits, cakes, sweet dishes. I know it is difficult but remember that you just have to adhere to this for 21 days. If you wish to snack you can have unsalted peanuts, dry fruits, seeds or yogurt. 2. When you get up in the morning, put your pillow aside and lie with your back straight. Put both your legs together and lift them so your legs are at a 30 degree angle with the bed. Maintain this pose of 5 minutes. Keep breathing while your legs are in the air. 3. Eliminate dinner altogether. In place of dinner have a bowl of papaya. You can have a small bowl of yogurt with black salt if you are not able to control your urge. 4. Keep hydrated through out the day. You need to drink at least 10 glasses of water every day. Tea/coffee are not substitutes of water. Minimize consumption of milk. Add raw vegetables to each meal. 5. One 500mg tablet of Calcium D-Glucarate and one tablet of B-Complex every day. If you miss even one of the steps mentioned above during your 21 day regime then you have to start all over again from Day 1. Please bear in mind that it takes 21 consecutive days of performing all the above mentioned steps for the stomach muscles to start toning up.
