I have a 5 month old baby girl. I am feeding her with enfamil formula and cerelac . What else can I give her ? What can I do to increase breast milk?

M.D.( Pediatrics), DCH
Pediatrician,
We advise only breast feeds up to six months, later onwards home diet mashed and made thin so that child is able to swallow. In your case instead of breast milk formula feed. For increasing breast secretions frequent breast feeding works best. In your case it is irrelevant. I don't prefer cerelac, certainly not before six months. Hope this helps.

All kinds of medications, cosmetics, plants, pesticides and cleaning products should be kept completely out of reach from toddlers.

Dietary Guidelines to include a variety of vegetables, fruits, whole grains, protein foods and dairy products. When there is healthy food in the body, it is more difficult for lead to be absorbed. Make sure your diet is rich in important nutrients such as calcium, iron and vitamin C.

Sir my baby (2 month) is still unable to hold and control his neck movement wht should I do.

Sir my baby (2 month) is still unable to hold and control his neck movement wht should I do.
Hello lybrate-user, its too early for your baby to have complete control of his/her neck. Neck holding usually is seen by 3 months of age and there may be still some head wobbling with complete control by 4 months. So do not worry às its completely normal and do support your baby's head while holding upright. Hope that helps.

It could have been better if baby's gestation age mentioned. From wt gestational age appears 31 weeks, short of 9 weeks. Thus consider age of baby as 5 months. For this age wt is not poor. However Gradually increase feeding.

My wife is having 21*19 mm cyst in left ovary. Would she be able to conceive. What should we do?
Yes. She can conceive. 2 cm cyst is not a big size but we have to do ultrasound to see for the nature and character of cyst, then she will also require some hormonal investigations. After investigations medicine can be given to dissolve the cyst if required. Treatment can be planned after all investigations.

Babies should not loose weight as such. Loss of 2 kg is significant. Some times there may be machine error also. Keep a watch, check the weight again. You are already giving all the nutrients. Add some butter to the meals. This will help in weight gain.
