How do I get rid of High Blood Pressure once and for all? Also, what are the methods available for me to check the condition of my heart and arteries?

DNB
General Physician,
You can't get rid of high blood pressure once for all. It has to be kept under control with suitable medicines for you according to your age and renal functions. Methods to assess condition of your heart and its blood vessels are stepwise 1. ECG 2. 2D ECHO 3. Stress test 4. If required Coronary Angiography

You may be suffering from bppv (benign positional vertigo). It is usually triggerred by sudden change in position. Cause is disturbance in flow of endolymph in semicircular canals of our ear. Diagnosis is easily done by hallpike /head roll test. Treatment is certain exercises like epley's maneuver. Certain antihistaminic drugs may help.

Hi. Getting fatigue soon with less physical activity can be caused by heavy bodyweight. But may be it is not the sole reason. Any heart artery blockages should be tested first. Once fit from heart side, she can be advised physical exercise and yoga as per her health and weight status. She can also be advised surgery for weight loss only after confirming that heart is healthy. Take care.

Hye. In order to lose unwanted fats and cholesterol you must eat sensibly and exercise to burn off calories. Eat as per the body's needs. Food that is not used to fuel the body is stored as fat. A major component of losing fats is to make smarter food choices. Here's how: limit non-nutritious foods, such as: sugar, honey, syrups and candy, pastries, donuts, pies, cakes and cookies, soft drinks, sweetened juices and alcoholic beverages cut down on high-fat foods by: choosing poultry, fish or lean red meat. Choosing low-fat cooking methods, such as baking, broiling, steaming, grilling and boiling. Avoiding high-fat snacks like chips and chocolate. Avoiding fried foods. Using less margarine and mayonnaise. Avoiding high-fat gravies, cream sauces and cream-based dishes. Eat a variety of foods, including: fruit and vegetables, whole grains, breads, cereal, rice and pasta, dairy products, such as low-fat or non-fat milk or yogurt, low-fat cottage cheese and low-fat cheese, protein-rich foods like chicken, fish, dals and legumes, or beans should be included in your diet. Change your eating habits: eat three balanced meals a day to help control your hunger. Watch portion sizes and eat small servings of a variety of foods. Choose low-calorie snacks. Eat only when you are hungry and stop when you are satisfied. Eat slowly and try not to perform other tasks while eating. Find other activities to distract you from food, such as walking, taking up a hobby or being involved in the community. Include regular exercise in your daily routine. Take a teaspoon of methi seeds soaked overnight or 8 hours once on waking up and one teaspoon at bedtime. You can also take a glass of water with ginger juice about a teaspoon, cinnamon powder about a 1/4th teaspoon and a teaspoon of lime juice. Take this after lunch and dinner.

Exercise and heart
Regular exercise helps to lower the build up of plaque in arteries by increasing the concentration of high density lipoprotein (hdl) the good cholesterol and by decreasing the concentration of low density lipoprotein (ldl) the bad cholesterol in the blood
Improved physical activity helps delay the spike in blood cholesterol level that commonly occurs with ageing
Exercise also prevents the onset of high blood pressure and lower it if one is already suffering from it
And enables the heart to work more efficiently

Cholesterol level should be measured at least once every five years in everyone over age 20. The screening test that is usually performed is a blood test called a lipid profile. Experts recommend that men ages 35 and older and women ages 45 and older be more frequently screened for lipid disorders. The lipoprotein profile includes: Total cholesetrol LDL (low-density lipoprotein CHOLESETROL also called "bad"CHOLESTETROL HDL (high-density lipoprotein cholesterol, also called "good" cholesterol) TRIGLYCERIDES (fats carried in the BLOOD from the food we eat. Excess calories, alcohol, or sugar in the body are converted into TRIGLYCERIDES and stored in fat cells throughout the body. High triglycerides and cholesterol can cause atherosclerotic heart disease or narrowed coronary arteries in the heart can cause the symptoms of angina, when theheart muscle is not provided with enough oxygen to function. Decreased blood supply to the brain may be due to narrowed small arteries in the brain or because the larger carotidarteries in the neck may become blocked. This can result in a transient ischmic attack or stroke. Peripheral artery disease describes gradual narrowing of the arteries that supply the legs. During exercise , if the legs do not get enough blood supply, they can develop pain , called claudication . Other arteries in the body may also be affected by plaque buildup causing them to narrow, including the mesenteric arteries to the intestine and the renal arteries to the kidney. Change life style .do meditation, yoga, Go walk daily, do any one physically activity daily i.e.play any game., Avoid fast foods, oily foods, junk foods, alcohol, smoking, fatty foods, non-veg.,avoid stress, take plenty of water in day time. And 1 glass of water before bed at night. use flax oil, omega-3 fatty meal or cap., take .green veg., whole grain. GARLIC,. Cod liver oil. Take anti cholesterol medicines . Cap.
