Hello, give her Alfalfa tonic , 2 tsp twice daily. Angioton 10 drops with water twice daily. Give her lemon water with salt . Drink more water. A cup of the raw beetroot juice once daily. It is one of the best home remedies for low blood pressure. Drinking a cup of strong black coffee can also help.

high cholesterol can cause atherosclerotic heart disease or narrowed coronary arteries in the heart can cause the symptoms of angina, when theheart muscle is not provided with enough oxygen to function. Decreased blood supply to the brain may be due to narrowed small arteries in the brain or because the larger carotidarteries in the neck may become blocked. This can result in a transient ischmic attack or stroke. Peripheral artery disease describes gradual narrowing of the arteries that supply the legs. During exercise , if the legs do not get enough blood supply, they can develop pain , called claudication . Other arteries in the body may also be affected by plaque buildup causing them to narrow, including the mesenteric arteries to the intestine and the renal arteries to the kidney. Avoid fast foods,oily foods,junk foods,alcohol,smoking,fatty foods, non-veg.,avoid stress, take green veg., whole grain.garlic,. Take anti cholesterol medicines . take tab. folic acid-5 once a day for iron.

We had our first child on 22nd june17 through cesarean delivery of my wife. Throughout the pregnancy period and even before that she never had High BP, not even in OT. But soon after the delivery, her BP shoot up to 180-200. She was kept in ICU for 3 days and Lobet was given. After about 5 days, we came home and the doctor advised to keep checking her BP. At home also her BP is fluctuating and inspite of taking Lobet 200, BP remains like 130/100 or 140/100. In her family, they have history of HIGH BP. Her parents had BP. Now doctor is suggesting that if the BP is not controlled in few days, he will have to suggest regular medicine of BP which she will have to take throughout her life. Her age is 29 Years. Please suggest.

BP which is high after delivery is attributed to stress causes during and after labour, stress is not only physical but emotional and harmonal as well as there are lot of changes which happens in a female body during and after pregnancy, however diet and exercise can be very helpful to keep her BP in check, so relax and make sure she takes the correct diet, doesn't put on weight, keeps her triglycerides and cholesterol in check and have a stress free life style, aparr from regular physical activity, for any further information or assistance you may get back to us.

it may gas-distention trouble due to indigestion. have simple bland food (Khichadi) for next few days avoiding junk, oily, spicy fried and deep-fried food items. drink lot of water. Add Jeera, Ajwain, Sonth in ur food items – these herbs prevent gas formation. Reduce intake of tea – coffee. Instead u can have green tea. dont lye-down or sit immediately after having meals. have a walk instead. maintain good bowel habits. Have more of Coconut Water, Gulkand etc to relieve acidity, Avoid too much of Cauliflower, Peas, Brinjals, Namkeens as snacks etc. Do regular walking and mild exercises. You may also do a weekly fast – just to relax and calm down ur system. Fasting also helps in cleansing of the system. for gas some herbal medicines might also help you but after proper history taking. For that u may consult me privately over Lyberate. BP can fluctuate from time to time, because it is dependent on multiple factors. With age requirement of dose of medication required may also change. Given your age, my suggestion, consult a cardiologist so that they can assess any underlying cause (like a blockage in heart) that may have led to this sudden rise in BP, and if all else is fine, you may just need a change in your medication dose. So please consult your cardiologist with a ECG, Echo, lipid profile and kidney function test report.

1. For your age pain chest could be due to anxiety, stress, depression, physical and mental strain, hyper acidity, muscular problem 2. Avoid stress and strain 3. Do regular exercise, reduce your weight if over weight. 4. Control your diet. Avoid oily/spicy/fried and junk food, high calorie and cholesterol rich diet. Take small frequent meals (5-6 meals/day instead of three heavy meals. If you have hyper acidity take one tablet of pan 40 in the morning before breakfast daily for few days 5. Do yoga, meditation, deep breathing exercise like pranayama etc. It will calm your mind, control your emotion and relieve stress. 6. Have sound sleep for 7-8 hours daily. 7. Avoid smoking, alcohol, excess tea/coffee, if you are having 8. Drink plenty of water and take rest 9. Takecrocin advance one tablet sos after food up to a maximum of three tablets per day at the time of chest pain 10. If you have recurrent attack of chest pain check your bp, take ecg, x ray chest and consult physician for advice and treatment.

Well its unlikely that pain is due to heart problem. You can go for ecg test. If it comes normal it may be because of gas or acidity. Take healthy food and walk daily for 30 min.

HI, She should restrict her salt intake and avoid taking oil fried food, chats, namkeens, pickles, pappads, etc, salty food. She can take lot of fresh raw vegetables and fruits. For arthritis, take tab. Shallaki 400 mg 1-2 tabs 3 times a day depending on the severity of the pain. Take Balarista 2tsf 3 times a day, mixed with equal quantity of water and Maharasnadi Khadha 2 tsf 3 times a day, mixed with equal quantity of water. Apply Rumalaya liniment to the affected joints and massage in circular motion for 10-15 mins and then take hot water fomentation. Avoid potatoes, sweet potatoes, sweet pumpkin, peas, channa, recently harvested rice, jackfruit, etc. Which aggrevate the pain. You can even undergo physio- therapy for 10-15 days.

High blood sugar occurs when the insulin in the body fails to metabolize the sugar from the food, which raises the amount of glucose in your blood. It is a metabolic disorder which can be managed effectively with the help of lifestyle modifications such as exercise and food. This article is going to focus on the foods that you can eat to lower your blood sugar levels.

Here are 9 foods that you can use to reduce blood sugar levels:

Cinnamon: cinnamon is a herb which is very effective in getting your blood sugar down to manageable levels. You can simply sprinkle cinnamon on your food before eating it.

Fenugreek (methi): fenugreek is a common spice which is used in almost all indian cuisines. It has a number of health benefits, one of which is reducing blood sugar levels. Soaking fenugreek in water and then drinking it the next day is a very effective remedy in combating sugar problems.

Hi. Recently, I got an extreme panic attack. Like sharp fear and pain in chest and light numbness in face and hands. This left me exhausted for 1 whole day. Actually from past 1 year I am suffering from severe anxiety, fear and depression. I am getting treatment from past 5 months. First 3 months I used to take betacap 40 and nexito 10 mg. And from past 1 and half month I am taking prothiaden 25 instead of nexito. I used to feel anxious and fearful sometimes but never got a panic attack this extreme that to in middle of my treatment. Is something wrong with my treatment? Is anxiety disorder curable? Please help I'm depressed.

Hi there ~ Panic Attacks and Panic Disorder Symptoms, Causes, and Treatment Panic Disorder: Symptoms, Causes, Prevention, and Treatment A panic attack is a sudden surge of overwhelming anxiety and fear. Your heart pounds and you can’t breathe. You may even feel like you’re dying or going crazy. Left untreated, panic attacks can lead to panic disorder and other problems. They may even cause you to withdraw from normal activities. But panic attacks can be cured and the sooner you seek help, the better. With treatment, you can reduce or eliminate the symptoms of panic and regain control of your life. Understanding panic attacks In many cases, panic attacks strike out of the blue, without any warning. Often, there is no clear reason for the attack. They may even occur when you’re relaxed or asleep. A panic attack may be a one-time occurrence, but many people experience repeat episodes. Recurrent panic attacks are often triggered by a specific situation, such as crossing a bridge or speaking in public—especially if that situation has caused a panic attack before. Usually, the panic-inducing situation is one in which you feel endangered and unable to escape. You may experience one or more panic attacks, yet be otherwise perfectly happy and healthy. Or your panic attacks may occur as part of another disorder, such as panic disorder, social phobia, or depression. Regardless of the cause, panic attacks are treatable. However, some people who’ve experienced panic attacks go on to develop panic disorder. Signs and symptoms of panic disorder You may be suffering from panic disorder if you: Experience frequent, unexpected panic attacks that aren’t tied to a specific situation Worry a lot about having another panic attack Are behaving differently because of the panic attacks, such as avoiding places where you’ve previously panicked While a single panic attack may only last a few minutes, the effects of the experience can leave a lasting imprint. Eventually, this leads to the following panic disorder symptoms: Anticipatory anxiety – Instead of feeling relaxed and like yourself in between panic attacks, you feel anxious and tense. Phobic avoidance – You begin to avoid certain situations or environments. This avoidance may be based on the belief that the situation you’re avoiding caused a previous panic attack. Panic disorder with agoraphobia Agoraphobia was traditionally thought to involve a fear of public places and open spaces. However, it is now believed that agoraphobia develops as a complication of panic attacks. With agoraphobia, you’re afraid of having a panic attack in a situation where escape would be difficult or embarrassing. You may also be afraid of having a panic attack where you wouldn’t be able to get help. Because of these fears, you start avoiding more and more situations. For example, you might begin to avoid crowded places such as shopping malls or sports arenas. You might also avoid cars, airplanes, subways, and other forms of travel. In more severe cases, you might only feel safe at home. Situations or activities you may avoid if you have agoraphobia: Being far away from home Going anywhere without the company of a" safe" person Physical exertion (because of the belief that it could trigger a panic attack) Going to places where escape is not readily available (e. G. Restaurants, theaters, stores, public transportation) Driving Places where it would be embarrassing to have a panic attack, such as a social gathering Eating or drinking anything that could possibly provoke panic (such as alcohol, caffeine, or certain foods or medications) Adapted from: American Academy of Family Physicians Although agoraphobia can develop at any point, it usually appears within a year of your first recurrent panic attacks. Causes of panic attacks and panic disorder Although the exact causes of panic attacks and panic disorder are unclear, the tendency to have panic attacks runs in families. There also appears to be a connection with major life transitions such as graduating from college and entering the workplace, getting married, and having a baby. Severe stress, such as the death of a loved one, divorce, or job loss can also trigger a panic attack. Panic attacks can also be caused by medical conditions and other physical causes. If you’re suffering from symptoms of panic, it’s important to see a doctor to rule out the following possibilities: Mitral valve prolapse, a minor cardiac problem that occurs when one of the heart’s valves doesn't close correctly. Hyperthyroidism (overactive thyroid gland) Hypoglycemia (low blood sugar) Stimulant use (amphetamines, cocaine, caffeine) Medication withdrawal Treatment for panic attacks and panic disorder Panic attacks and panic disorder are treatable conditions. They can usually be treated successfully with self-help strategies or a series of therapy sessions. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy Cognitive behavioral therapy is generally viewed as the most effective form of treatment for panic attacks, panic disorder, and agoraphobia. Cognitive behavioral therapy focuses on the thinking patterns and behaviors that are sustaining or triggering the panic attacks. It helps you look at your fears in a more realistic light. For example, if you had a panic attack while driving, what is the worst thing that would really happen? While you might have to pull over to the side of the road, you are not likely to crash your car or have a heart attack. Once you learn that nothing truly disastrous is going to happen, the experience of panic becomes less terrifying. Exposure therapy for panic attacks and panic disorder In exposure therapy for panic disorder, you are exposed to the physical sensations of panic in a safe and controlled environment, giving you the opportunity to learn healthier ways of coping. You may be asked to hyperventilate, shake your head from side to side, or hold your breath. These different exercises cause sensations similar to the symptoms of panic. With each exposure, you become less afraid of these internal bodily sensations and feel a greater sense of control over your panic. If you have agoraphobia, exposure to the situations you fear and avoid is also included in treatment. As in exposure therapy for specific phobias, you face the feared situation until the panic begins to go away. Through this experience, you learn that the situation isn’t harmful and that you have control over your emotions. Medication treatment for panic attacks and panic disorder Medication can be used to temporarily control or reduce some of the symptoms of panic disorder. However, it doesn't treat or resolve the problem. Medication can be useful in severe cases, but it should not be the only treatment pursued. Medication is most effective when combined with other treatments, such as therapy and lifestyle changes, that address the underlying causes of panic disorder. The medications used for panic attacks and panic disorder include: Antidepressants. It takes several weeks before they begin to work, so you have to take them continuously, not just during a panic attack. Benzodiazepines. These are anti-anxiety drugs that act very quickly (usually within 30 minutes to an hour). Taking them during a panic attack provides rapid relief of symptoms. However, benzodiazepines are highly addictive and have serious withdrawal symptoms, so they should be used with caution. Self-help tips for panic attacks and panic disorder When it comes to panic attacks, professional treatment and therapy can make a big difference. But there are many things you can do to help yourself, too: Learn about panic. Simply knowing more about panic can go a long way towards relieving your distress. So read up on anxiety, panic disorder, and the fight-or-flight response experienced during a panic attack. You’ll learn that the sensations and feelings you have when you panic are normal and that you aren’t going crazy. Avoid smoking and caffeine. Smoking and caffeine can provoke panic attacks in people who are susceptible. As a result, it’s wise to avoid cigarettes, coffee, and other caffeinated beverages. Also be careful with medications that contain stimulants, such as diet pills and non-drowsy cold medications. Learn how to control your breathing. Hyperventilation brings on many sensations (such as lightheadedness and tightness of the chest) that occur during a panic attack. Deep breathing, on the other hand, can relieve the symptoms of panic. By learning to control your breathing, you develop a coping skill that you can use to calm yourself down when you begin to feel anxious. If you know how to control your breathing, you are also less likely to create the very sensations that you are afraid of. Practice relaxation techniques. When practiced regularly, activities such as yoga, meditation, and progressive muscle relaxation strengthen the body’s relaxation response—the opposite of the stress response involved in anxiety and panic. And not only do these relaxation practices promote relaxation, but they also increase feelings of joy and equanimity. So make time for them in your daily routine.
