I am 25 years old. I have back pain & little cough. What should I do? Please suggest me.

Back pain and cough may be related to your eating pipe disorder. Assess whether you have burning in stomach, belching, choking sensation in chest while eating. If yes, then first and foremost you should avoid painkillers.

Hello sir, hope you are doing good. Pls don't stop bp medication, unless doctor ask you to stop. Diabetes, bp require a long term medication. But this might also lead to your constipation problem. If you have constipation more than occasionally or have severe pain or bleeding, it's important to check-in with your doctor as these symptoms can be a sign of a more serious digestive disorder. However, in most cases constipation is just a sign that your diet needs more fiber. The average adult needs between 25 and 30 grams of fiber a day to ward off constipation, far less than most of us typically eat. To avoid bloating and cramping, you'll want to gradually add fiber to your diet. Badam, orange, apple has more fiber pls eat as raw. Dont make a juice of it. Let me suggest you some best fiber supplement from who certified. This fiber is easily digestible and give a best result you need to take after meals in the afternoon and evening. Just leave a message to me on my private questions. Have a nice day.

I am 18 year old, I have cough since 2 months. I have tried many syrup and also taken Ayurvedic medicine too, still my cough is not stopped. What can I do for this?

MBBS

1. Do a complete blood examination like cbc, esr, mantoux test, x ray chest, sputum examination for afb (3 samples), serum igg&igm. 2. Consult chest physician with report. 3 if all the reports are normal, it could be due to allergy. Do an allergy test after consulting allergist/immunologist and follow the advice and treatment 4. Do warm saline gurgling 3-4 times daily, 5. Avoid smoking if you smoke. 6. Consult me for further advice.

Asthma: Breathing Made Easy with Homeopathy!

Diploma in Gastroenterology, Diploma in Dermatology, BHMS

Asthma: Breathing Made Easy with Homeopathy!

Asthma is a chronic respiratory disorder. In asthma, the airways of the lungs get inflamed. Due to this inflammation, there is swelling inside the airways. This also causes excess production of mucous. The combined effect of swelling and mucus production is that the passage of air gets obstructed. This makes breathing difficult. A whistling sound or wheezing is often heard in such patients. Often the patient gets cough due to this obstruction of the airways. This cough is a reflex of the body to get rid of the excess mucous in the airways. A sense of tightness or heaviness is felt in the chest. One cannot expand the chest fully while inhaling. This is a medical condition characterized by paroxysmal wheezing respiration dyspnoea.

Causes of Asthma

  • Caesarean sections,
  • Antibiotic use in early life,
  • Vaccines,
  • Family history of asthma.

Asthma Triggers

Signs And Symptoms

  • Recurrent episode of paroxysmal dyspnoea (difficulty in breathing).
  • The breathing is laboured, with a wheezing sound, mainly on expiration.
  • Asthma attacks often occur in the early hours of morning (when there is no immediate precipitating cause). During the attack patients often prefers to sit then lie down.

Homeopathy for Asthma-

When it comes to the treatment of Asthma, Homeopathy is much better at treating asthma. It is in stark contrast to allopathy, where inhalers and steroids are used to suppress inflammation. Homeopathic medicines do not aim at just reducing inflammation. They also intend to cure the basic cause of the recurrent inflammation. This way, not only the symptoms of asthma are treated but the incidence of asthmatic attacks is completely eliminated. With a couple of months of Homeopathic treatment, you will be able to live a disease-free and medicine-free life. It is worthwhile to mention here that all Homeopathic remedies are natural and do not contain any chemicals. That is why these purely natural homeopathic remedies do not have any side effects at all.

Things to do:

  • Deep breathing exercises e.g. Pranayama 25 times a day.
  • Stop smoking completely, if you are a smoker.
  • Avoid all allergens.
  • Avoid dust. A housewife having asthma may be greatly helped by vacuum cleaner to clean dust. Use a mask while dusting.
  • Avoid carpets on the floor, which harbor dust.
  • Avoid pets if you are asthmatic.
  • Avoid industrial fumes in factory workers.
  • Ask your doctor or healthcare provider how to manage in emergency. If a particular food triggers an attack of asthma, avoid it e.g. cold drinks, particular fruits, fish, chocolates.
  • If any emotional or family problem, try to sort out, or use tranquillizer or consult phsician.
  • For repeated attacks, advise change of weather i.e. a holiday in dry climate, will help more than medicines.
  • Avoid mosquito coils and mats. Use mosquito net instead or topical mosquito repelling cream.
  • Avoid passive smoking. Asthma is one of psychosomatic illness. So mind tranquility is very important part of treatment.
  • If a patient of asthma gets a dramatic relief in dry climate and attack otherwise, he or she should change the residence, if possible to a dry climate place.
  • Take a glass of warm water early in the morning; take warm drinks like tea, coffee, soups often.

Things to avoid:

  • Junk food or deep fried food like pizzas, hamburgers, chips.
  • Cold foods items like ice creams, cold drinks.
  • Sour foods like non-fresh curds, raw onion.
  • Avoid sour fruits like citrus fruits (orange, lemon), sour grapes.

By trial and error method and keen observation, note if any particular food is causing an attack of asthma, such food must be totally avoided.

  • Avoid heavy meals eat in small quantity of meals and take dinner early.
  • Avoid sleep at least for 2 hours after meals.
  • Stress: Learn to manage stress as it can directly prompt the asthma attack. Try Yoga and meditation as it helps to relieve stress. If you wish to discuss any specific problem, you can consult a homeopath.

I am 24 year old in rainy season I always get cold temperature, and cough, suggest me precautions and medicine. Thanks.

AUTLS, CCEDM, MD - Internal Medicine, MBBS
General Physician, Faridabad
There are several things you can do to prevent a cold—they are all easy and inexpensive and worth the effort. Wash your hands often-with soap and warm water. The germs stick to the soap and get washed down the drain. Always wash your hands after coughing or sneezing into your hands, blowing your nose, after touching someone who is sick, or when using public restrooms or telephones. Cover Your Mouth and Nose When You Sneeze or Cough- Clean your hands every time you cough or sneeze. Avoid Touching Your Eyes, Nose, or Mouth-Germs are often spread when a person touches a contaminated surface and then touches their eyes, nose, or mouth. Stay Home When You’re Sick-Get plenty of sleep, be physically active, don’t smoke, manage stress, drink plenty of fluids, and eat nutritious food so you can fend off viruses. In general you should: -Take healthy balanced diet...like boiled eggs.daily in breakfast .. -Avoid people who have a cold or cold symptoms. -Routinely clean and disinfect common areas of your home. -get plenty of rest so your body can use its energy to fight the cold -staying at home will keep you from spreading germs -drink plenty of liquids like herbal tea or hot broth/vegetable/tomato soups. Avoid foods or drinks with caffeine which can keep you from getting enough sleep -Runny Nose and Sneezing- if you have post nasal drip, gargle to keep from getting a sore throat. Drink extra fluids. (avoid sugary and high calorie drinks) -Use saline nasal sprays or nasal irrigation • Tablet Nasorest-P once/twice daily may reduce the amount of mucous. • Do steam inhalation once or twice daily Treatment:There is a gradual 1-3 day onset of symptoms. It often starts out as a sore throat, then a fever and coughing. As the cold progresses, the nasal mucus may thicken which is the last stage before the cold dries up. A cold usually lasts for a week or two. But, taking good care of yourself at home can relieve symptoms and help prevent complications if you are otherwise healthy. Unless you develop complications, you shouldn’t need medical treatment. Complications include bacterial infections of the ears, throat, sinuses or lungs which must be treated with antibiotics. Cough-Coughing is how your body gets rid of debris and mucus from the airways during a viral infection. Unless your cough is severe or is keeping you from resting at night, it is better not to treat it. A severe cough can be treated with a cough syp, but don’t try to completely stop the cough. There are two types of coughs. Productive and non-productive or dry cough. Non-productive, dry cough. A dry, hacking cough may develop near the end of a cold. Dry coughs that follow viral colds are often worse at night and can last up to several weeks. Take syrup Alex-D for a dry cough. Cough drops can sooth an irritated throat, but most don’t affect the cough. Productive cough. A productive cough is one that brings up mucus from the back of the throat or the lungs. Productive coughs should not be suppressed to the point they no longer bring up mucus. Use syrup Alex. Drink lots of water if you have a productive cough. Head and Body Aches- Take tablet dolo-650 mg for fever once or twice daily

Is child asthma curable and how long does it take to cure, what are the consequences of using steroids for longer years to treat asthma.

Most of children with childhood asthma are free of symptoms by the age of 12 years. But in few, who have a strong family history of allergic disorder or in whom symptoms are progressive in successive years, do progress to adult asthma. In this class of patients long term steroid therapy is must to prevent damage (remodeling) of bronchioles and lung tissue. Steroids can not be given orally for more than 10-15 days, if needed they have to be stopped gradually by tapering the doses. Inhaled steroids are safe for long term use for many years but of course under medical supervision.

Does olive oil prevent heart disease? Do cough syrups work? Do sugary soft drinks lead to diabetes?
Answer is yes to all 3 questions but use in moderation. Skip sugary soft drinks which have lots of caffeine in them eg pepsi and coke's as they weaken bones. One can have sherbet and roofafza and thandai and aam panna type of sugary drinks in moderation.
