Hi Lybrate user, as per the results of your lipid profile you can maintain it by eating healthy foods in your diet like- fruits, salads, pulses and legumes, oats, dalia, green leafy vegetables, eggs, chicken, fish etc. Avoid high salt in foods, fried, carbonated drinks, alcohol, smoking, junk foods. Also with this do some exercises like walk at least 20-30 mins will help maintain a healthy life. Good luck!

All these numbers show that you r very much prone to heart disease. Start exercising regularly. Avoid fried foods, milk products and non veg food.

Hi, Take Rauvolfia 1x, 2 tabs daily morning empty stomach. Drink plenty of liquids and cut down your fat, salt and sugar intake. go for a morning walk daily at least for 30 minutes. Take a sound sleep and try to avoid anger. Revert after 15 days with feedback.

My daughter age 8 months old with congenital heart defect, recently echocardiogram report says ostium secundum atrial septal defect sizes of 0.8mm diameter, left to right shunt. No feeding problem. Is it necessary for open heart surgery to close the hole now at these age?

Hello thanks for the query first of all I would like to know the exact size of atrial septal defect (asd. I think it should be 0.8 cm not 0.8 mm (as 0.8 mm asd will not cause any significant problem). The management depends on the following parameters 1) growth of the baby, 2) how frequent she is getting symptomatic 3) how severe are the symptoms 4) what is the exact hemodynamic finding in the echo (including pulmonary pressure) 8 mm asd considered to be large and chances of spontaneous closure is less. The weight and height you have mentioned is appropriate for age. Also I would like to know the margin of the defects. As on the basis of rims of the defect we can decide whether device closure can be done to avoid the open heart surgery. I request you to give detail history and to attach the echo report so that I better able to help you out. Regards.

I am giving you some health tips to avoid acidity 1.Take small frequent meal kindly take 5-6 small meal in whole day 2.Take 6-8 glass of water in a day 4. Moderate physical activity regularly 5.avoid excessive tea, coffee, Avoid food from outside, junk, fried, spicy fatty food 6. Do Not postpone Breakfast 7. Avoid excess citrus fruit 8. Avoid smoking and Alcohol 9. Regular Physical activities 10. Meditation Medication can be started after personal consultation

Dear lybrateuser, - For your condition take some precautions - have a low salt & low fat diet, have more of fibrous foods like fruits & vegetables, beans, sprouts, spinach, low fat dairy, healthy fats like seafood, skinless chicken, a handful of mixed nuts like almonds, walnuts pistachios, cashews, peanuts - check your blood pressure regularly at least once a week - keep your weight within normal limits for your height& age - avoid alcohol & tobacco if you take - do regular exercise like walking for at least 30 min a day, try to do yoga & deep breathing, take precaution you should not strain - take medicines regularly on time as prescribed by your doctor.

Hi, Follow these tips to increase your blood pressure: 1. Increase intake of salt by adding salt to curds rice and taking pickles along with curds rice. 2. Drink plenty of fluids like Nimbu pani, tender coconut, water, buttermilk, fresh fruit juices,etc. 3.Drink hot coffee or tea when you feel dizzy. 4. Take sound sleep for 7-8 hours at night. 5. 1. For your age pain chest could be due to anxiety, stress, depression, physical and mental strain, hyper acidity, muscular problem 2. Avoid stress and strain 3. Do regular exercise, reduce your weight if over weight. 4. Control your diet. Avoid oily/spicy/fried and junk food, high calorie and cholesterol rich diet. Take small frequent meals (5-6 meals/day instead of three heavy meals. If you have hyper acidity take one tablet of pan 40 in the morning before breakfast daily for few days 5. Do yoga, meditation, deep breathing exercise like pranayama etc. It will calm your mind, control your emotion and relieve stress. 6. Have sound sleep for 7-8 hours daily. 7. Avoid smoking, alcohol, excess tea/coffee, if you are having 8. Drink plenty of water and take rest 9. Takecrocin advance one tablet sos after food up to a maximum of three tablets per day at the time of chest pain 10. If you have recurrent attack of chest pain check your bp, take ecg, x ray chest and consult physician for advice and treatment 11. Consult me for further advice.

Go for diet control and exercise. you can take flex seed oil or fish oil capsule. Dont go for allopathic medicines as your LDL level is not too much high. It can be control by exercise and diet control.

Dear, To control & maintan BP normal these are best methods to follow:.• Do physical exercise like jogging, running or brisk walk for atleast 20-30 minutes. • Maintain your cholesterol level to normal & eat least amount of butter, cream or fatty things. • Eat less amount of pickle, salt and fast food as they contain high sodium levels. • Avoid drinking alcohol and smoking. • Take less amount of caffine containing coffee, tea or cold drinks because caffine causes increase BP. • Drink 8 to 10 glass of water daily • Take 6 to 8 hrs of sleep daily. Do not take too much stress. • Do long breathing pranayams (Anulom- Vilom, Bhramari) daily for 10 - 15 minutes. It will reduce your stress level in your body. • Eat healthy diet such as green leafy vegetables, fruits. • Take 5 ml of GULAB Jal added in a glass of water daily once a day.
