Lupus Disease

This is a form of epithelial cancer and is a lose called eating cancer
Symptoms:- it first appears on the nose as a hard, dusky red sore and spreads in ulcerative form destroying the tissues till the bones are exposed. This affect women 10 time more than men. It usually appears in women between the age. Nausea, vomiting and abdominal pain may accompany. It is an ulcerative skin disease and requires a very long-term treatment. Sensitivity to sunlight is usually present. Lupus is caused by disruption of body waste disposal system from failure of special enzyme d nasil, which fails to remove wastes from the body.

Diagnostic tests
The disease is easily noticeable as it is outside the body on the the skin and biopsy is performed to confirm it.
If possible, the affected portion of the body is cut out.
I suggest homoeo doctor consult and homoeo treatment best.

It is better to show it to a Breast Surgeons a Surgical oncologist. They would take a detailed history and examine you and if need be, ask for an ultrasound examination. From your history, it looks more like a musculoskeletal pain. Fibrocystic changes are very common and are common cause of breast pain especially cyclical. Some times some of the cysts may enlarge causing a lot of pain, which need to be aspirated. Also they need to rule out other causes of pain like ill fitting bra, trauma, costichondritis, abscess amongst a few. Feel free to contact me directly if you want to discuss this further.

Can any stage cancer be cured completely in 2018, have scientists developed any 100%cure on cancer?

DM Pediatric Medical Oncology, Fellowship Pediatric Hematology and Oncology
Oncologist, Bhubaneswar
All cancers can not be cured. Cure rate depends on various factor like type of malignancy, age, stage, co morbid conditions and many others. Some can be cured, some can be controlled for months to years and in some cases the treatment would be symptomatic relief without aiming to cure the disease.

Hi Sir, My aunt is 50 years old. She had suffered from breast cancer 15 years back which was successfully treated with surgery, radiation and chemotherapy. 2 years back she was again treated for uterine cancer. Now one month back she is diagnosed with Lung cancer. Doctors are still conducting tests and not yet started with treatment. She is experiencing cough and pain in chest area. Can we go ahead with Chemotherapy again? She is scared of the side effects? Why it is re occurring again and again? What is the prognosis now? What is the way ahead please suggest.

Oncologist, Pune
Lung cancer will give more symptoms as compared to uterine and breast cancer. Check her receptors as lung cancers have got another treatment called immunotherapy. Lesion of lung needs to be biopsied and send for pathology as well as receptors than only treatment can be finalised.

Hemorrhagic, Pleural fluids, Cytology, Cytological features are suggestive of adenocarcinoma deposit it can treat and one of doctors suggested these two hospitals Apollo Hyderabad and American oncology institute which one is best for treatment of lung cancer.

MBBS, M.S. General Surgery, M.R.C.S. England, M.Ch. Surgical Oncology, DNB Surgical Oncology, FEBS Surgical Oncology, DNB General Surgery, MNAMS, FMAS, FIAGES, FAIS, FICS, FEBS Breast Surgery, FACS, Fellowship IFHNOS & MSKCC USA, Fellowship in breast and oncplastic Surgery
Oncologist, Mumbai
Pleural fluid can be from lung Cancer as well as due to spread of cancer to lungs from other sites like ovary, Breast, stomach, pancreas to name a few. Pleural fluid positive means it is an advanced disease. When the cancer has spread to the lungs the chances of cure are less. If it is ovarian cancer than they may give chemotherapy upfront to see if the cancer including fluid regresses and may offer surgery later. If lung cancer then they would do a biopsy to do the EGFR and other mutation analysis to decide the course of chemotherapy or targeted therapy. If any other cancer then the treatment would be accordingly. Both the institutions Apollo and American Oncology institute are good, but no personal experience as I am based in Mumbai. Feel free to contact me if you want to discuss this further.

Before 1 week my uncle was admitted in hospital because of brain tumour and it was cancerous he had the operation there and it was successful but the doctor was saying that he can't live anymore only 3-4 months he is having and he is going for chemotherapy, is there any way to save his life ,so that he can live more.

MBBS, MD - Radiothrapy
Oncologist, Delhi
Hi lybrate-user With the details you gave, most probably your uncle is having glioblastoma. After surgery, radiation should be given to the region of brain where tumour was located. This is the internationally recommended treatment. Alongwith radiation he should have an oral tablet of chemotherapy daily. Despite treatment the average survival observed in our hospital in such cases is around 20 months.

Sir, my left breast started paining yesterday, I pressed it hard by myself thinking pain will stop but it has increased. There is NO swelling, NO lumps & redness in breast. My periods are also a week far. I'm in pain sir. Please look into this & help me as soon as possible.

PGDMLS, PGDHHM, LLB, PhD Surgery, MS - General Surgery

Generally your symptoms are suggestive of fibroadenosis. This is a harmless condition related to hormonal activity at this age. All that you need is a good breast support (a tight bra or sometimes even a crepe bandage around the chest). Medicines are generally not recommended unless it is very troublesome. If breast support doesn't help in 3-4 days, consult a general surgeon. Occasionally a fine needle biopsy or ultrasound / mammography may be required.

I have got root of tongue cancer. It is in the fourth stage. It is grade 2 and stage 4.

MBBS, M.S. General Surgery, M.R.C.S. England, M.Ch. Surgical Oncology, DNB Surgical Oncology, FEBS Surgical Oncology, DNB General Surgery, MNAMS, FMAS, FIAGES, FAIS, FICS, FEBS Breast Surgery, FACS, Fellowship IFHNOS & MSKCC USA, Fellowship in breast and oncplastic Surgery
Oncologist, Mumbai
I will need to see you Clinically as well as the reports of MRI etc, to know as to why it is stage 4. If operable, better to operate upfront. If only base tongue cancer, we prefer chemoradiation for the same. If it is going to vallecula or hyoid, better to give chemotherapy and operate if good response. If advanced disease then palliative chemotherapy or chemoradiation is advised. If metastatic, then only palliative treatment in form of chemotherapy can be given.
