lybrate-user hi, regards ,from what you have described I understand that you are able to carry out your day to day activities without difficulty. I suggest that for the pain which you experience during the night might be postural. Please use a good ergonomical mattress which will support your back during your sleep. Your posture while sleeping matters the most .revert for further help.

I am 65 years old I am suffering from joint pain in shoulder, neck, fingers. Back bone, ankles, my teethes are almost worn out, I am a diabetic patient since 1987, with average health.

Hi thanks for your query and welcome to lybrate. I am Dr. Akshay from fortis hospital, new delhi. You have got pains at multiple joints in the body. My advise to you will be: - catch hold of a good physical therapist and start your exercises - concentrate initially on isometrics for neck region, general conditioning and abdominal strengthening ex - do daily walks for about 2-3 km ( brisk walks) everyday - take adequate calcium and vitamin d ( as per deficiency) - you can use tab ultracet 1 tab sos in case of pain. Please also send me certain tests like: cbc, esr, crp, serum electrolytes, serum vitamin d levels and dexa scan to evaluate your bone density. I presume certain issues in you must be related to degeneration in joints and there could be some inflammation as well. But if you start doing your exercises, try a healthy lifestyle some these issues will get solved by itself. Do not hesitate to contact me if you need any further assistance. My forehead pains above my eyes. Also the back of head above neck pains a lot daily. The muscles have became stiff and hard, has an pin point shooting pain. Is it due to stress or cervical spondylosis please suggest medication.

Can be solved through acupressure/ acupuncture easily. Try this for 3 days. Massage with your thumbs from the mid points of the shoulder blades on both sides towards the lower back of your head up to lower level of the ears. Use oil or water for massage. Rotate your head clockwise and anticlockwise, forward and down, left and right a few times. Do for 5 to 10 times morning and evening. For headache press 10 times your thumb sideways and front and back. Inhale while pressing and exhale while releasing this can be done on both thumbs consult me after 5 days for further treatment.

It's always good to have a cray for a good diagnosis, but you can focus on isometric exercises of your back and strengthning of core muscles for pain you can use hot pack to reduce pain and if pain is too much you can use lumber belt

You need to do stretching of your leg muscles before start playing. Also start doing some back exercises to strenghten your muscles. Your muscles might not be able to take up the load during your playing activity. Do adequate warm up and stretching before you start playing.

Hand exercise dear, you can do it, 1……. Make a Fist Hand and finger exercises can help strengthen your hands and fingers, increase your range of motion, and give you pain relief. Stretch only until you feel tightness. You shouldn't feel pain. Start with this simple stretch: •Make a gentle fist, wrapping your thumb across your fingers. •Hold for 30 to 60 seconds. Release and spread your fingers wide. •Repeat with both hands at least four times. Finger Stretch Try this stretch to help with pain relief and to improve the range of motion in your hands: •Place your hand palm-down on a table or other flat surface. •Gently straighten your fingers as flat as you can against the surface without forcing your joints. •Hold for 30 to 60 seconds and then release. •Repeat at least four times with each hand. Claw Stretch This stretch helps improve the range of motion in your fingers. •Hold your hand out in front of you, palm facing you. •Bend your fingertips down to touch the base of each finger joint. Your hand should look a little like a claw. •Hold for 30 to 60 seconds and release. Repeat at least four times on each hand. Grip Strengthener This exercise can make it easier to open door knobs and hold things without dropping them. •Hold a soft ball in your palm and squeeze it as hard as you can. •Hold for a few seconds and release. •Repeat 10 to 15 times on each hand. Do this exercise two to three times a week, but rest your hands for 48 hours in between sessions. Don't do this exercise if your thumb joint is damaged. Hi thanks for your query and welcome to lybrate. I am Dr. Akshay from fortis hospital, new delhi. Although there can be many causes for heel pain like spurs, fascial inflammation, infection, trauma etc but normally plantar fasciitis is the most common cause especially if there is no history of any injury or any s/s of inflammation or infection like swelling, skin redness etc. This kind of pain is usually due to inflammation of your heel fascia. It is chronic pain which get aggravated especially when you walk more and is better with rest. Treatment modalities are aimed at relieving inflammation of the fascia, like ice packs, physical therapy, footwear modification and anti-inflammatory therapy. Also can you please get a few blood tests done empty stomach and send reports across to me: cbc, esr, crp and serum vitamin d and uric acid levels. Sit straight and maintain your posture avoid long sitting and toward bending tk a soft pillow for back support and nutrition must for you do heat fermentation and gentle massage of full spine tk a muscle relaxant medicine.

Hot fomentation x twice daily. Avoid bending in front. Postural correction. Sit tall, walk tall. Extension exercises x 15 times x twice daily bhujang asana x 15 timesx twice daily core strengthening exercises. Back stretching.

Take rest for few days. Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Spring beds, folding beds or thick matress are harmful do hot fomantation. Paracetamol 250mg od & sos x 5days. Caldikind plus 1tab od x10. It may have to be further investigated. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. For emergency treatment contact your nearest hospital or family doctor. If it does not give relief in 4-5days, contact me again.
