You may have back muscle tear. Please consult doc or please do mri scan of your low back for better diagnosis. In between just apply hot and cold and use back belt for relief.

Do consult neuro physiotherapist and have ust and laser therapy for 12 followed by shoulder mobilisation exercises and also do consult maxillofascial dental specialist to rule out any dental issues.

I am 63 years male. 2 years back I had tingling and slight pain in left hand 3 fingers (thumb, index and middle. My efforts to investigated from general physician to specialist to neurologist were in vain. As suggested doctors it gradually cured. In two years it is limited to tip of the middle finger. However, still I feel that left hand has lost (very little) strength. Often feel tingling in chest and back side. I am type2 diabetic (border) taking glycometsr 500 in the morning and gp1 in the night. Other wise my health is perfect. I do pranayama, meditation. Will you please suggest me to get the above disorder addressed?

Hi thanks for your query and welcome to lybrate. I am Dr. Akshay from fortis hospital, new delhi. All these symptoms of pain, numbness, parestheisas are due to involvement of nerve. It will be wise for you to get nerve conduction studies to understand exactly the region where your nerves are getting affected, and if it is due to compression somewhere, it can be addressed accordingly. its bone deformity so u can maintain only . u can tk any treatment but avoid toward bending lifting weight. do spine extension exercise and stretching exercise in daily routine. physiotherapy treadmill will help u to maintain ur spine flexibility and mobility .

Identify the mid point between the ankle bone and tendons and give pressure with a blunt edge on either side of your foot for 2 minutes. Also give pressure in the web between 2nd and 3rd finger from your toe for 2 minutes. Finally give a good massage for both feet in hot water. Identify the dipping portion on the back of your knee folding. Press this dip with both middle fingers and hold your knee with your thumbs for support. Please swing 20 times morning and evenings.

Postural correction- sit tall, walk tall. Extension exercises x 15 times x twice daily. Apply hot fomentation twice daily. Avoid bending in front.

I am having frozen shoulder for about 2 years! I have been taking pain killers. But it is not helping.

Can be solved through acupressure/ acupuncture easily. Try this for 3 days. Massage with your thumbs from the mid points of the shoulder blades on both sides towards the lower back of your head up to lower level of the ears. Use oil or water for massage. Rotate your head clockwise and anticlockwise, forward and down, left and right a few times. Do for 5 to 10 times morning and evening.

I suggest you follow the below for your condition: Take Mag Phos 12x - thrice daily for next 2 weeks and update. Also do x-ray of the affected area. Rest. Ceasing activity for a few days allows injured tissue and even nerve roots to begin to heal, which in turn will help relieve lower back pain. However, more than a few days of rest can lead to a weakening of the muscles, and weak muscles have to struggle to adequately support the spine. Patients who do not regularly exercise to build strength and flexibility are more likely to experience recurrent or prolonged lower back pain. Heat and Ice Packs. Heat and/or cold therapy helps relieve most types of low back pain by reducing inflammation. Often patients use ice, but some prefer heat. Both may be used alternately. Use your hands to grab hold of your left knee and pull it gently toward the opposite shoulder. ... 4. Hold for 15 to 30 seconds. 5. Relax, and then repeat with the other leg. 6. Repeat this cycle 2 to 4 times.

No take rest walk slow no bend years knee joint use weight calf 500 grm do it weight bearing and exercise and use ice therapy after 3 months do start very slowly run step use good quality sport shoe.

Hi thanks for your query and welcome to lybrate. I am Dr. Akshay from fortis hospital, new delhi. There are many causes of pain in lower back region which can be attributed to issues with muscles, disc, spinal canal etc. If you have localized back pain with no other symptoms like radiating leg pain, neurological symptoms like numbness, weakness, paresthesias etc, then you can start with following recommendations for initial period of 2-3 weeks: - to maintain proper posture of your back while working and sleeping - if pain is more then you can take a short course of an anti-inflammatory medication like tab etoshine or paracetamol or one which suits you - physical therapy initially under supervision of a trained physiotherapist and then to continue at home - adequate calcium & vitamin d intake if levels are low in body - ice packs can applied if your pain is acute, then hot fomentation can be done at home - analgesic spray for local application can be used and is easily available. - avoid lifting heavyweight/ acute forward bending in mornings etc we will observe you for next 2-3 weeks how you respond to this conservative management protocol. If you are not feeling better, then we will have to get some investigations like, dynamic x rays of lower back and few blood tests for evaluation. Avoid sitting cross legged. Avoid squatting- quadriceps exercises- lie straight, make a towel role and put it under the knee, press the keen against the role, hold it for 20 secs. Repeat 20 times twice a day. This will help relieve some pain. Core strengthening exercise- straight leg raised with toes turned outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day.

Kindly show me a photograph of the affected part --knee rule out diabetes & vit. D deficiency or any other metabolic disorder. Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Spring beds, folding beds or thick matress are harmful Do hot fomantation. Paracetamol 250mg od & sos x 5days. Caldikind plus 1tab od x10. Do neck, back knee & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. You will need other supportive medicines also. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. If it does not give relief in 4-5days, contact me again. Do not ignore. It could be beginning of a serious problem.

Your history indicates that there might be a nerve impingement at the neck region you should ask your therapist to do therapy only with modalities like tens, no exercises in painful periods take a short course of anti inflammatory medication which suits you you can also take medicines for neuropathic symptoms like pregabalin or gabapentin in minimal dosage also I would like to know: - whether there is only pain or any other symptoms like numbness, paraesthesia, weakness in upper limbs - is there any history of fever, swelling, night sweats, loss of appetite and weight etc? if you take rest, ice packs at neck area and follow this conservative regime protocol, you should get better in next 2-3 weeks if other symptoms are not there. If pain increases or any other symptoms develop, then please get in touch with me as we might have to do some tests for you. Do not hesitate to contact me if you need any further assistance.
