How To Deal With Fibromyalgia?

Fibromyalgia is a condition characterised by extreme muscle pain that is followed by weakness, fatigue and issue with the state of mind. It is believed that fibromyalgia causes painful sensations by affecting the way your mind forms pain signals.

It is seen with meniscus tear. Get a mri scan of your knee at best centre with 3 tesla machine. That will show the pathology and then treatment can be advised.

Do back exercises to improve strength of muscles and hot water formentation. Avoid long time same position like sitting, standing, walking and household works, etc. Take short rest breaks. Correct your posture.

Apply hot fomentation twice daily. Avoid bending in front. Postural correction- sit tall, walk tall. Extension exercises x 15 times x twice daily - lying on tummy, take left arm up for 3 seconds, then bring it down, right arm up for 3 seconds, bring down. Bring right leg up, hold for 3 seconds, bring it down. Then right leg up and hold for 3 seconds and bring it down. Repeat twice a day- 10 times.

Sir, I am 58 years old and having backache for last 2 years. It pains a lot if bend forward but no pain while bending backwards. No pain while walking. But really hearts if seat on hard surface and while getting up from seating position. Please advice.

Stiffness & pain in back & other joints is quite a common condition. Rule out diabetes & vit. D deficiency or any other metabolic disorder. Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Spring beds, folding beds or thick matress are harmful use no pillow under the head. Any way take ibuprofen 200mg od & sos x 5days you will need other supportive medicines also. Take multivitamins & other antioxidants along with. Do back (spine) exercises contact me again if need be. Sir I have pain in ankle and there is a injury please suggest me to how to reduce the pain.

Make sure there is no minor fracture by taking xray or mri, if there only sprain in ankle apply dry ginger powder paste on the ankle and leave for 15 min and wash the area, apply crape bandage till the pain reduces. Do it for 7 days without fail.

Hello. Maintain a right standing and sitting posture, keep your back always straight, avoid carrying weight on back. Hold or carry weight divided equally in both the hands or shoulders (to avoid over straining on one particular hand or shoulder). Exercise: Practice Shavasana or Corpse Pose as it looks like a dead body. If practiced correctly and with full efforts, can relax every body part, relaxing not only the body but also the mind: Spread the legs one to two feet apart, the toes are turned outwards, the heels facing each other, a comfortable distance apart. Bring the arms a little away from the body, palms turned upward. Relax the neck and allow it to turn to the side if it is more comfortable. Close the eyes and focus the attention on the body, breathing normally. Management: -Stretching or activities that place additional strain on the back are discouraged. -Sleeping with a pillow between the knees while lying on one side may increase comfort. -Lying on your back with a pillow under your knees would also relieves pain and no pillow under your head. -Some people seem to benefit from the use of ice or heat. Take care, do not use a heating pad on ‘high’ or place ice directly on the skin. Medication: Take homoeopathic medicines - Arnica 200 and Rhus Tox. 200 - take both of them thrice daily for 1 week. Also, apply Schwabe's Topi-Arnica and Topi MP Gel on the affected area in circular motions gently thrice a day. Get back to me thereafter. For gastric problem: Take Natrum Phos. 6x/ thrice a day daily for 1 week.

Hi 3 months back, when I was dancing, my knee got twisted and hit on the ground. I felt very severe pain at that time and there is little swelling and I went to doctor and he checked my knee and said there is no fracture and nothing to be worried. He prescribed me medication. I think they're pain killers. I used the medication and got some relief from leg pain and then doctor prescribed me physiotherapy exercises for 2 week s with "ostojoint" medicine. I did physiotherapy exercises twice a day .But I didn't see any further improvement in my leg condition for 3 weeks. At the time of injury, I didn't limp, now I started limping and I felt lot of instability of knee when I walk. Then was asked to go for MRI scan. My MRI report says that" Bony oedema involving distal femur involving the intercondylar region and lateral condyle and inferomedial patella-possibilities are Bone contusions/inflammatory etiology. Grade 1 signal intensity degeneration involving the midbody of medial meniscus. Minimal joint effusion" Then CBP, ESR ,C reactive protein test was conducted.In reports everything came normal except ESR which is 40 (normal range <20 and I had viral fever which got cured in that week. I used anti inflammatory medicine for 2 weeks. Even after 2 week s my ESR remained same and I felt less pain compared to the previous week still limping. Then I went for TB test. Result came negative. Now I have to go for Biopsy and I am really scared. I want to know is it abnormal if edema is still there after 6-7 weeks of injury? Actually I was doing my daily activities with out taking much rest. Does it contributes in my knee condition. THANKS IN ADVANCE.

Conditional, breastfeeding mothers need to change positions while they are not feeding. They can sleep according to their comfort. However, when they are feeding then they need to lay side se side position some mothers, particularly larger breasted women, find they will need to roll themselves and their baby over to their other side to feed from the second breast, whilst others will find that once they have fed from the lower breast they can just lean forward and feed from the top breast without changing sides. If you do choose the second alternative you will need to make sure that the lower breast is well drained before switching to the upper breast so that blockages in the milk ducts to not occur.

Identify the dipping portion on the back of your knee folding. Press this dip with both middle fingers and hold your knee with your thumbs for support. Please swing 20 times morning and evenings. This will relieve your problem. Press the point on the web between 2nd and 3rd finger from toe in the foot 20 times by pressing and releasing with a blunt edge of a pen. Further rotate your foot clockwise and anticlockwise 10 times. Massage your leg with both hands. Give pressure the dipping point on the portion between the thumb and the index finger on the back of the palm. Press and release for 15 times where the pain is more. Pl give feedback after 5 days.

Most of the injuries of back while lifting weight are related to inter-vertebral discs. And since the pain is from past 1 year you need to consult an orthopaedic physician and get an mri done. After that you have to start extensive physiotherapy which will include exercises to strengthen your back and modalities to reduce your back pain. Never underestimate your back pain and as soon as possible consult an orthopaedician and a physiotherapist. I hope I helped you. Thank you!
