When I go for run usually I have pain in my knee. It's keep increasing what should I do. Suggest plz.

Use proper sports shoes used for running Do not run on hard surfaces like tar road. Do warm up exercises before running hard. Better to have a coach or trainer.

It may be because of meniscus tear or ligament injury. So you feel any click inside knee or instability during running or walking on uneven ground? Do quadriceps and Hamstrings strengthening. Do cycling exercise.

Hi, hope you are doing good, take rest for three days if pain is severe, then do hamstring and pariformis muscles stretching, and strengthing exercise of back muscles, with help of physiotherapist and learn all exercise and do regularly. Take care and be happy always.

Hi doctor. My mom s 58. Old she s suffering from knee pain Oly in right leg. No other pain s she having. Left leg no problem. No pain there a swelling in leg. Also. Here weight s 72. She s taking a tend bp. Tablets. Oly in afternoon. But bp s normal oly.

Can you pl send x-ray or USG report of knee to see if osteoarthritis etc is developing. If leg is paining entire length, it could be nervine problem or circulatory problem too. What's reading of BP, sugar, uric acid, RA factor, ESR? Pl consult online with reports. For the time being start giving her tab/ cap Haridra, rumalaya forte, guggul (all of Himalaya co.) and apply Rumalaya liniment over knee twice a day. Pl contact online with reports. Above medicine has no side effects. Can be given for long time.

1. Get X ray done for knee Joint. 2. Start with Physiotherapy treatment. 3. Learn knee exercises. 4. Don't sit on floor. 5. Wear sports shoes. 6. Wear knee cap. 7. Do hot fermentation twice a day. 8. Apply volini cream before sleeping. 9. Take calcium, vitamin D 3 and Glucosamine supplement for one month minimum

When I go upstairs, my left leg joint make voice from a month What to do to correct it?

Short Arcs: Lie flat on your back or sit upright with your leg placed horizontally on a flat surface like a chair or bed. Place a rolled up towel under the knee. Pull your toes towards you and clench you thigh muscles. Slowly lift your foot up off the bed until your knee is straight (keep your knee resting on the towel). Hold for 3 secs and slowly lower them on the chair. Repeat 10 times twice a day. Straight Leg Raise: Lie flat on your back. One leg and knee will be straight and other leg should be bent. Pull your toes towards you and tighten/clench the muscle on the front of the thigh, locking your knee straight. Lift your foot up in the air, about 6 inches off the bed. Hold for 3 secs and slowly lower the leg. The knee must remain straight the whole time you are doing this exercise.

I have severe lower back pain. I cant bend nor do any work as it pains a lot. This has been going on since 3 weeks now. Took medicines but no effect. I also get bad catch on my legs behind my knees on calf if I stretch my legs. It gives me a lot of pain. Feeling sick all the time causing headaches too. Investigations advised - hb, tlc, dlc, esr, sugar f & pp, uric acid, vit d3 urine r/e x ray of the affected part. Anyway you may try- sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Spring beds, folding beds or thick mattress are harmful use no pillow under the head. Do hot fomentation. Paracetamol 250mg od & sos x 5days. Caldikind plus 1tab od x10. Do neck back knee & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. If no relief in 4_5 days, then inform again.

Your posture counts more for good health. Do neck exercise after getting up up in the morning by moving up and down, moving sideways left and right, rotate left to right and right to left circularly. Massage with your thumbs from the mid of your shoulder blade towards the neck upwards upto the level of lower part of the ears. By using water or oil. Move only upwards and not dowan wards. You will be alright within 4 days.

hello Lybrate user ,  Back pain that is associated with day time sedentary jobs like computer professional s are associated with paraspinal muscle spasms.The best way to tackle this sort of pain is to do well spaced Stretching exercises of the back, back extension exercises, using hot water bags to provide relief and avoiding stooping posture while sitting. Posture also plays a very important part in back pain, always maintain a straight posture while sitting. While getting up from the bed try to first go on your left or right side of the body and get up side ways. Avoid Cruntches or Sit-ups : they may increase the pressure on your back and may predispose to Slip Disc. Always maintain a healthy Lifestyle in terms of regular brisk walking , meditation , eating healthy. P.S : Try to avoid pain killers ( Analgesics ) as much as possible as many are associated with Side effects that you may not be aware of. Stay Healthy. Stay Happy God bless you
