My tonsils are mostly enlarged often take Montek LC tab which also helps in sneezing fits is there some other treatment what could be the reason I was once treated after that my tonsils gave me problem.please help

MD - Homeopathy, BHMS
Homeopath, Mumbai
Dear lybrate-user, is it only enlarged tonsils or infected as well. If only enlarged without symptoms then don't worry. If there is repeated tonsil infection at age of 58, then its high time to consult a homeopath as there is urticaria/ allegic nature of disease. Even after taking montec lc.

Hi. If you can follow few basic things then you will get better results in short period of time…. 1) drink only 100-150 ml of lukewarm water during meals …. 2) don’t drink water one hour before meals and one hour after meal… 3) avoid oily, fermented and stale foods…. 4) drink lukewarm water regularly as possible… 5) sleep upto 10.30 pm… 6) do anuloma viloma pranayam regularly early in the morning. 7) avoid cold things, intermittent eating, heavy foods, contact with dust and pollen grains, day time sleeping A) TAKE 20 ml of ginger juice with 1 tsf of jiggery before meals B) take 2 tablets of SWAS-KASA-CHINTAMANI RASA, early in the morning on empty stomach along with 1 tsf of honey and ginger juice. C) take ½ tsf of lavanbhaskar churna after meals. Do all these things for 7 days. Gives you good result. THANKS.

The inhaler prescribed for COPD are Formonide 400 and Tiomist, along with Duolin/levolin as SOS. In case of an emergency can Duolin/levolin be taken on as required basis or there needs to be a gap of at least two hours between two inhalations? If so, why?

DNB(Respiratory Diseases), MBBS
Pulmonologist, Jabalpur
Its better to have gap of some hours between inhaler doses as other wise there is more chances of its systemic absorption causing its levels higher in blood that can produce side effects such as tremors and low potassium levels etc.

I'm having panic disorder. I'm feeling shortness of breath from past 4 days and sometimes palpitation. So does inderal 10mg to get read of shortness of breath? Plse rply fast.

MD-Ayurveda, Bachelor of Ayurveda, Medicine and Surgery (BAMS)
Sexologist, Haldwani
Hello- these symptoms are associated with irregular digestion as pitta dosha after meals moves toward the heart and thus causes anxiety and palpitation. There is no role of anti-depressants and psychotic medication in this as they provide symptomatic relief but worsens the conditions during next episode, they also have ill effects on your central nervous system by making it slow. Use these safe ayurvedic medicines- a) prabhakar vati 1 tab twice daily after meals. B) pitta shekhar ras 1 tab twice daily. C) manas mitra vatakam 1 tab use sos.
