I got a sprain in my right ankle and was having severe pain so I consulted a doctor where I got xray done of my foot. (X-ray foot AP & oblique and x-ray foot AP & lateral. All the finding were normal) the doctor tied a crepe bandage and prescribed medicines. After all of this my leg is fine I can walk normally but while I bend my ankle towards right it still pains. Kindly help me with this as its been 4 days and there is no complete relief.

If your x rays are normal then there is no chance of problem with your bone .use that crepe bandage to reduce the swelling if present .u have to keep your ankle in elevated position and also you have to give ice over that region.

I have muscle pain in the some waist region. I feel pain due to excercise 20 day ego. Local doctor said this is micro trauma. Acording his dvice I took nice Mr. And evion for ten days. But pain does not go away. Mri also done. There are nothing. What I should do to reduce muscle pain in back (waist)?

Hello start physiotherapy treatment and learn posture care/ spine exercise. Meanwhile take few precautions. 1) take hot water fomentation for 20 min. At every 3hrs. Interval. 2) do not lift heavy weights or twist your spine 3) do not wear high heals do not ignore your back pain and do reply for private consultation and detailed treatment plan. Best wishes.

Core strengthening exercise- straight leg raised with toes turned outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day. Hams stretching- lie straight, take the leg up, pull the feet towards yourself, with a elastic tube or normal belt. Repeat 10 times, twice a day. Quadriceps exercises- lie straight, make a towel role and put it under the knee, press the keen against the role, hold it for 20 secs. Repeat 20 times twice a day. This will help relieve some pain.

Hi thanks for your query and welcome to lybrate. I am Dr. Akshay from fortis hospital, new delhi. Actually pain at calf/leg region can be due to many reasons, commonly it is muscular in nature but it can also be due to tendons, nerves, blood vessels etc. My advise to you for initial 2-3 weeks will be: - ice packs application intensively with elevation of your limbs at night - take a short course of anti-inflammatory medication as per your body's suitability - stop your physical activity till pain completely subsides - intensive physical therapy, training and proper muscle conditioning once pain has subsided - slow resumption of physical activities with proper pre activity warm up and stretching of muscles and short increments in duration of physical activity each day as per pain tolerance. - we will get some blood tests for you - serum vitamin d and serum potassium levels, esr and crp once you have all these reports then you can contact me as I can advise you for proper supplementation do not hesitate to contact me if you need any further assistance. If you believe in homeopathy system pl continue the same. as an allopath i can suggest you help him in getting relief from his problem in food. Donot give him tea or coffee on emply stomach, give atleast a biscuit with that. avoid adding too much of spices, avoid fried food, give him only home cooked food, make him drink atleast 2.5-3 litres of water every day. make go for morning or evening walk. with all these precautions there will some relief.

My latest mri Grade 2 horizontal medial meniscus tear in posterior horn of body not extending up to surface ,PD hyper intensity signal showing irregularities showing partial acl tear accompanied mild buckling of pcl with normal signals , how long my knee survive ,which activity to do and which to forbid can my knee survive next 30+ years without surgery.

Do some regular exercise and eat timely nutritious food. Identify the mid point between the ankle bone and tendons and give pressure with a blunt edge on either side of your foot for 2 minutes. Also give pressure in the web between 2nd and 3rd finger from your toe for 2 minutes. Finally give a good massage for both feet in hot water. Consult after 5 days.
