Hello sir. I have a query related to my mental issue. As doctors says I am suffering from ocd problem from last 2 yrs. There is no positive results are coming. There are 15 doctors treated me. And all are well experienced. So I am finally hopeless. Approx 14 hours I am sleeping in 24 hours. Because if I don't do this I just can't control my self. And there is no such thoughts are coming in my mind which are related to ocd. But it is true my problem was started with an word like- I wanted to forgot something and for this I was started to many things. And finally I have gone in very deep. But at this time I am not doing something for this but my illusion-"i have problem" are not going. Please answer me that is it any mental issues of human being are there that can't be treat.

I am sure you are one the many people who have not combined medication with therapy. You absolutely need this and so you must return to medication and counseling. OCD can be easily explained away by too obvious a cause like you mention but it is more complicated. However, the bottom line of OCD is fear. Some deep-rooted fear that has not been handled properly is causing this reaction in you. Normally, when one type of medication does not work within 8 weeks, another is resorted to. Nothing is, therefore, hopeless unless you yourself give up. This si where counseling comes in very handy: it will help you stay motivated and keeps the desire going too. There may be some childhood trauma or setting where this fear has found itself and since it has not been resolved it will continue to plague you like this. Deal with the fear and you will have some relief, if not complete​ recovery.

Forgetfullness can be a symptom of depression or anxiety. Consult a psychiatrist in person for effective treatment. Eat well, sleep on time, maintain a regular day structure, meditation, breathing exercises, focus on the task, rehearse all these will improve your memory and concentration.

You will rue the day you become obese and have difficulty knocking down your weight. The whole world is fighting an almost losing battle with the bulge. As long as you are active and fit, do not worry about your emaciated looks. If you seriously want to put on weight, you can put on muscle mass. This can be achieved by going to a gym and the instructor or coach will help you in this regard: as a general rule, if you do brisk exercise you will develop muscle and if you do slow stretching exercises you will tone your body. Weight bearing exercise, even though it is on the slow side will generally, add much desirable weight. Food wise any increase in carbohydrates will tend to add to your bulk. By nature, if your basic metabolic rate is high, whatever you eat will easily get metabolized and will spare nothing to add to your weight. You could learn meditation and yoga to slow down your metabolism and that will also make you a calm person. Whatever happens, do not neglect your physical fitness with sufficient exercise, eat well, sleep well, be stress-free as much as possible, and have a good collection of friends.

Panic disorder is usually due to underlying anxiety disorder. You need to address your anxiety disorder first. Medicines provides relief superficially. Internal behavior changes and adaptation clears underlying anxiety disorder. Take care.

Nothing is particular cause for stammering, you consult doctor to get medicine but also consult the speech therapist and evaluate your stammering then take continues speech therapy, slow your rate of speech whenever you talking someone, take a small breath to start the words, practice the relaxation and breathing exercises at home. Less your nervousness and freely mixed with your friend but you must take speech therapy, after speech therapy it will be curable.

How Ayurveda Helps Manage Drug Addiction?

Drug addiction is an addiction of a very severe kind. This causes the sufferer i.e. the drug addict to seek and use drugs compulsively despite the destructive consequences to themselves and those around them. This is known as a chronic brain disease because of the functional and structural changes it causes in the brain. It is the overpowering dependence on illegal or legal medications and drugs. One cannot quit taking drugs just by strong will or good intentions. Ayurveda's holistic method combines exercises, meditation, and herbal medicines to cure addiction towards drugs.

Ayurvedic Remedies:

  1. Panchakarma Therapies-Only an ayurvedic expert should perform the panchakarma therapies and rituals on you. It promotes cleanliness and helps in detoxifying the body. These therapies are done using various herbs and oils in accordance with the ancient traditions to eliminate negative conditions.
  2. Virechana-It is the most useful Panchakarma therapy to treat addiction. Virechana is known to cleanse the gastro-intestinal tract and purify the blood of toxins of a period of a few days. It helps decontaminate your spleen, stomach, liver, kidneys, colon, intestines and sweat glands through varied herbs and laxatives such as castor oil, mango juice, raisins, cow's milk, psyllium seeds, flaxseed husk, prune and senna.
  3. Rasayana therapies-Rasayana therapy is another very useful Ayurvedic treatment for treating drug abuse and addiction. It is based upon the transmutation and conservation of energy to improve the mental as well as physical characteristics in order to increase your body's natural metabolic processes while enhancing your immune system and brain function. Rasayana therapy consists of intricate face, head and full body massages which are combined with medicated creams and herb oils. This therapy is also useful to remove artificial aging which occurs due to prolonged drug abuse.
  4. Yoga-The chaotic chemicals are known to wreak havoc on the drug addict's brain during the process of recovery. Resorting to exercise or yoga will help generate extra endorphins which are very helpful for clarity. To recover from drug addiction, you must join a structured yoga class along with other ayurvedic therapies. Yoga is beneficial since it stimulates every part of your body without applying too much stress on any one part. If you wish to discuss about any specific problem, you can consult an Ayurveda.

Prefer keeping yourself is a dangerous thing. Last year this incident happened. But up to that you think about that it is not good thing as per my advise. What is happend that is over. Why we think. If we think he will come back then we think. Nothing come back. Everybody must respect the natural law. Nobody should not excepted from the natural law. So respect the gods order. And follow our regular work schedule. Develop busy schedule. Be friendly with others. Be happy all the time. Best of luck. Best wishes.

Dear lybrate-user, it is good that you wants stop smoking a normal human takes oxygen into lungs 15 -20 times per minute (15 - 20 breaths) lungs mixes oxygen in blood and it purifies our blood, by smoking we are mixing not only oxygen adding and mixing bad elements like nicotine etc. In oxygen, that spoils our blood and our body all organs like lungs, heart, kidney etc. In our body. When I write, I sound intelligent, and can get my Point across effectively. However, every time I Open my mouth to speak, I sound like a total Idiot. Everything always comes out wrong; Nothing ever comes out right. I can never get Across what I am trying to convey. People never" get the point" of what I am saying; it's very Frustrating. Dear sir expression of thoughts can be either emotional or conceptual among the conceptual expression of thoughts, there are two variants 1. Through writing 2. Through speaking so, there are three neural circuits in brain that express that you feel and the three neural circuits are in various stages of development in various individuals so some are good speakers but poor writers some are good writers but poor speakers some are good writers as well as good speakers some are neither:) (same way, some people would like to read a mail to know the response. Some prefer a phone call. Why? it is because just like how you have various pathways for expression of thought, there are various input pathways too. Those whose neural circuits for symbols is stronger prefer a sms or mail. Those whose neural circuits for sounds is stronger prefer a phone call) now coming back to your problem your neural circuits that deals with speaking (from brocas area) is" relatively weaker" than your intellect and the neural circuits that deals with writing which are very very strong. So you are finding it difficult to talk but, please wait your speech pathway is not really weak. It appears to be relatively weaker because your thinking and writing circuits are extremely strong. In other words, you think faster, your hands are able to cope up with that speed, but your mouth is not yet coping up, and hence you stammer. The good news: a person with good intellect and good writing skills (as evidenced from your question) can easily develop his speech too. All it needs is self confidence [which I have given here ;) ] and practice [which you have to do] start practising today. Sorry, now itself:):):) best wishes for a successful career.

I am taking medication for depression and ocd. I feel a lot better however, everyone keeps telling me that I would get addicted to these medicines for life. Whenever I miss a dose, I can see a drastic change in me from my normal self. So, what shd I do from getting addicted. 2nd question is. Can I take regular medicines like crocin, dolo650, over the counter painkillers, cough syrup, sinus tablet while I am taking these psychiatric medicines? please answer me doc. Thank you sophie.

Dear lybrate user. I can understand. Soft voice is never a problem and in fact it is very good and desirable in many occasions in your career and socializing. Soft voice can be modified with the help of special training through speech therapy. I suggest counselling. Take care.
