Hello my name is sombuddha Mukherjee my question is What is the cause for continue eye blinking?
hello ...our cornea (round black part of eye) must be wet all time...when we dont blink and it starts getting dried.....as soon as first spot of dryness appears on cornea...nerves present in cornea send signal to brain and brain in turn send signal to lids and lids blink... BLINKING is very important mechanism to kkep our eyes healthy and wet

Since you are already prescribed spectacles, there could be other, more than one reason for your headaches. These could be migraine type headaches or those due to sinusitis. Migraine headaches can start at any time, can also cause giddiness, vomiting sensation, irritability, etc. Both these conditions need clinical evaluation, apart from an ophthalmologist, a physician or neurologist can also treat migraines. They can also rule out or treat sinusitis medically, though it is ideally done by an ent doctor. Take an appropriate decision as per your symptoms.

If your power has become stable , you may go lasik if you don't want to use glass , Myopic power is inherited from either mother or father side & is basically hereditary in nature ,maximum increase in myopic power takes place between 13 to 21 yrs in male & between 13 yrs to 19 yrs in female because maximum body growth takes place between these periods. There is no direct medicine to check the increase in myopic power but with the help of balanced diet ,green vegetables & seasonal fruits  one can slow the speed in the increase of myopic  power, one can take the help of yoga pranayam, swimming, gym &these things definitely slow the speed of increase in myopic power.

My question is - as there is instructions on them" refrigerate after opening the cap" and" use within one month after opening" As my job is of travelling, so can I carry them in my pocket in sunlight? And after even eye gets fine, the remaining eye drops can be used later after a month?

Hello 1. There is no need to regfrigerate. These can be kept in your pocket and used as instructed 2. In case of conjunctivitis, if drops still remain unused, we recommnd to destroy the remaining medicine and avoid using them again.

I am 20 years old. My eyes become red if I got out or if I stare TV for 20 minutes. I have been using eye drops since 2 weeks but no results.

I am 20 years old. My eyes become red if I got out or if I stare TV for 20 minutes. I have been using eye drops since...
Redness of the eyes has multiple causes associated with it. To enumerate a few common causes: (1) allergy of the eye. It is usually caused by improper eye hygiene. There is a tendency to rub the eyes with fingers, handkerchief, cloth, etc. This is not a good habit because it tends to transmit lots of virus, bacteria and dust into the eye. Allergy usually presents with symptoms of watering (clear water), redness and itching of the eye. (2) infectious conjunctivitis: this is usually associated with white-yellowish discharge. If so, it would be a good idea to go and show to an eye specialist in person. (3) foreign body lodged in the eye. This is more commonly associated with people who drive 2 wheeler vehicles without protection. It occurs more commonly in one eye. Foreign bodies that commonly get lodged are eyelashes, insect wings, small insects, dust particles, iron particles (more common with people working in the iron industry) the solution for a foreign body lodged in the eye would be better provided by an eye specialist at the clinic. (4) raised intraocular pressure: this is a condition known as glaucoma. It is not so common as the previous mentioned conditions. There is usually associated pain in the eyes. It is commonly bilateral (occurs in both eyes). There is usually a positive family history of glaucoma associated in a majority of the cases. (5) inflammation of the coats of the eyeball. This is known as" uveitis" it is also a relatively less common condition. There is associated pain. It would require a thorough eye checkup including the retina-thus a good idea would be to visit the eye specialist in person. From the symptoms described by you, it seems more likely to be a case of allergy. Maintaining the precautions and hygiene that I mentioned should probably work well for you. It would be much better if I could have a look at your eyes.

Hello lybrate-user. The symptoms experienced by your mother are suggestive of inadequate eye hygiene that seems to be causing infection as well. I would advice a combination of eye drops along with proper eye hygiene maintenance. I have the following suggestions for her: (1) avoid rubbing the eyes with fingers, handkerchief, dupatta, cloth, etc. (2) wash eyes daily 3 to 4 times with clean hands and clean water in a gentle manner. (3) avoid dust, sunlight exposure to the eyes. Protect them using proper eye glasses, helmets, etc. (4) use a lubricant eye drop 4 to 5 times in a day (eg. Systane ultra eye drops) (5) use an antihistamine eye drop 3 times in a day (eg. Olopat eye drops, i-kul plus eye drops) (6) if there is discharge emanating from the eyes, use an antibiotic eye drops (eg. Moxifloxacin eye drops 3 times in a day) hope my suggestions were of help.

Flumeth is an alternative (same molecule) lower cost eye drop. However, this medication belongs to synthetic steroids, prolonged, unsupervised use may lead to unwanted side effects. Use your discretion, do see your ophthalmologist for a proper advice.

It is due to postural hypotension for which you should consult your physician. You can also use some preventive steps. While getting up from bed sit for few minutes then stand at same place without moving then start moving. This way your body get some time to adapt.
