Dear dr. I have a pain in my right joint of shoulder. I guess it is call tendo pain. Is it a cervical spondylitis. Have taken physiotherapy for 10 days. Pain has got reliefed but not fully. At some times it pains. Can you suggest what needs to be done.

Hi thanks for your query and welcome to lybrate. I am Dr. Akshay from fortis hospital, new delhi. Shoulder pain could be due to multiple reasons like tendinitis, arthrosis, rotator cuff pathology etc. Cervical spondylitis is an entirely different pathology so the two should not be confused at all. Your pain could be due to some tendinitis in your shoulder. But since physical therapy has helped you, I advise to continue the same and take short course anti-inflammatory medication for 5-7 days. Please let me know if your pain increases, or if it is associated with any other issue? do not hesitate to contact me if you need any further assistance.

Lybrate-user ji, Thanks for the query. Height of a person can increase only up 18 years or at the most 19 years, because by that time the growing ends of long bones fuse together. At your age there is absolutely no chance of any increase in the height. Yogic exercise can help in remaining fit and controlling weight. Thanks.

Change ur shampoo into a baby shampoo...avoid taking iodized salt..take hot oil massage with olive oil and coconut oil...apply natural henna powder dipped in liquor of tea overnight,next day add whole egg,curd,10ml coconut oil,few drops of lemon juice,,apply it on scalp..with this u need proper homeopathic treatment...i use the word proper fr this reason wht u hv been treated was not proper homeopathic treatment..

Hello, •Go for a brisk walk in d morning / evening  for  45 mnts to enshape your whole body.    •Tk, 3/4 litres  of water to regulate metabolism to burn fats cell.  •  Go for meditation to reduce your stress and to nourish cell & tissues to curb fats cells.     •Go for either, cycling, jogging, swimming, skipping, gardening, playing badminton, dancing,regularly.     •Opt staircase, instead of a lift in your office.    •Tk, oats with green tea  or, 1 slice of whole grain bread with 1 cup of cooked vegetable soup + 1 fruit (pomegranate, pear) in d breakfast.     •Tk, 3 breads, 1 bowl of mung dal, 1 bowl of green veggies, 1 bowl of yogurt ,fruits, sprouts in ample qty in lunch. 1 cup of green tea + 4 marigold biscuits at 4.00 pm, your dinner be same as lunch ,your meal be preferably, vegetarian ,high in proteins and fibre, maintaing 1300-1600 calories through dietary  regulation. Natural method of treatment of pimples 1.wrap the ice cube in a piece of cloth and hold it on the affected area for few seconds, wait for few minute and repeat the process 2. Dip a clean cotton swab in fresh lemon juice and apply to pimples before going to bed 3.Apply some white tooth paste over the affected area before going to bed and in the morning wash your face with water 4.Fill a large container with hot water and allow the steam to come in contact with your face for few minutes rinse your face with lukewarm water and after drying it apply oil free moisturizer 5. Cut a fresh garlic clove into 2 pieces and rub the garlic in the pimple and leave it for 5 minutes before washing skin with lukewarm water repeat the treatment several times a day 6.Drink lot of water. Butter milk, coconut water. Eat plenty of green leafy vegetables/fruits. Avoid processed/fried/spicy/junk food 7.Consult skin specialist for further advice.
