Mr. pcod being a problem with the ovaries causes lot of hormonal fluctuations which can give her the symptoms that you have described. If treated early on time it can be completely cured in homeopathy without any side effects. Meanwhile just take care that she doesnot put on extra kilos as it may act as a hindrance in curing pcod.

I am 27 years old girl. My breast is so loose and small. Its size not increasing. Before many years I have to aborted a 5 months baby .is it a reason for this problem please suggest me something.

MCh - Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, MS - General Surgery, MBBS
Cosmetic/Plastic Surgeon, Bathinda
Hi Madam Abortion cannot cause loose or small breasts. Please try to sleep on your back. Breast size is natural hormone dependant. If your hormones are not in the right range, it can affect your body, including your breast size. Please consult a gynecologist for hormone study and a plastic surgeon for breast size.

I losing my hair quickly and I have tried many shampoo but no effect. Can suggest me a medicine for it or any shampoo.

I losing my hair quickly and I have tried many shampoo but no effect. Can suggest me a medicine for it or any shampoo.
Shampoo only clears scalp, it does not go inside the hair root. Besides diet, excessive stress, current/past dandruff and some medication are known to retard the hair growth and promote hair loss. Cut down on the use of hair sprays, hair gels, and styling creams that contain harsh chemical ingredients which can dry the scalp and cause the formation of flakes. Also, harsh treatments such as perms, colours, relaxers etc. Take a toll on the health of your hair. Avoid changing your shampoo and conditioner constantly. Stick to one good mild cleansing shampoo for six months before changing. Excessive exposure to the sunlight, pollution, rain water and dust without proper protection makes the hair dry, brittle and limp. Use a live-in conditioner during the rains to protect it from the humidity and wash and oil it regularly to maintain a healthy scalp. I may also prescribe medications like biotin or minoxidil. Start below mention tips. 1. Eat healthy and balanced food like pulses (soyabean is best for hair), egg, green leafy vegetables, fishes, fruits and nuts etc. 2. Drink more water (12 to 15 glasses per day) 3. Avoid stress and anger 4. For prevention of fungal infection in scalp, wash your hair regularly with some good shampoo. You can use conditioner for smoothing of hair quality. 5. Avoid combing of wet hair. 6. Do not share your towel or comb with other people. Try these tips.

Liposuction is the best option if puffy nipples are due to fat deposition. It is minimally invasive surgery with no major scars, minimal pain & very fast recovery. All creams & medicines available on net have no proven benefit.

Fight Against Skin Changes After Menopause

MBBS, MD-Skin,VD & Leprosy, Hair Transplant Surgeon

Fight Against Skin Changes After Menopause

Every woman endures menopause, by the time she reaches middle age. It comes with a lot of complications and skin changes are also not spared. It is vital to know how to fight the skin changes of menopause to take right actions at the right time.

Changes experienced: Major problems faced are hormonal changes and their declines. Ultimately, ovarian activity slows down decreasing in B-Estradiol levels. This leads to hot flashes or warmth feel under the skin, especially on face and profuse sweating. The overall experience leads to decrease in the production of estrogen and progesterone, leading to skin changes.

  1. Oily Skin: Testosterone production is prominent that stimulates sebaceous glands to secrete thicker sebum making skin appear oily.
  2. Facial Hair: Some women show development of facial hair, especially on chin.
  3. Sagging Skin and Wrinkles: Decrease in estrogen leads to fat redistribution. This results in skin sagging on face, neck, hands and arms.
  4. Elastosis: Lower estrogen levels lead to decrease in collagen and elastin in the skin dermis. UV rays destroy collagen resulting in elastosis.
  5. Thinning Epidermis: This leads to trans-epidermal water loss and dry skin.
  6. Hyperpigmentation / Age Spots: Melanin production is tampered after menopause, which causes hyperpigmentation.

How to fight against It:
Here are some tips on how to fight the skin changes of menopause.

  1. With age, skin becomes dry. Right cleanser with a creamy formula is a solution for dry skin.
  2. Use heavier cream to moisten your skin. Avoid hot, long showers.
  3. Skin protection from sunlight is a must. Choose a sunscreen that is from a broad-spectrum SPF30 or higher and use it regularly.
  4. Due to hormonal changes, wrinkles appear, and hence you need to apply moisturizer on face, jawline and neck regularly. Use skin-care products meant to act against fine lines and sagging.
  5. Face, hands and chest usually get affected with age spots. Use sunscreen every day. Those who are already affected with spots, use exfoliating products. These products help to shed dead skin cells. Toners may also help.
  6. Apply moisturiser on hands too and wear gloves while doing household or yard work.
  7. Eat foods with antioxidants such as brightly coloured fruits and vegetables.
  8. Soy, which is rich in isoflavones, acts like estrogen in the body.
  9. Stress tends to make skin drier. Yoga, meditation, etc. helps to relax.
  10. Do exercise regularly to tone your muscles.
  11. Sleep well: Beauty sleep is most essential to regenerate your cells. Sleep prevents dark circles under eyes. Around 8 to 9 hours of sleep is recommended.

Now you know how to fight the skin changes of menopause. Follow the tips and then age will be just a number.

I have small pimples on back side as well as on neck. How I can get free from that problem?

BHMS
Homeopath,
I have small pimples on back side as well as on neck. How I can get free from that problem?
Dear lybrate user, pimples/ acne vulgaris is a chronic inflammatory skin disease which develops due to blocking of the hair follicles in skin. These blockages occur due to 4 abnormal processes: 1) excess sebum production due to androgens 2) excessive deposition of the protein keratin leading to comedone formation 3) infection of propionibacterium acnes (p. Acnes) bacteria on the hair follicles 4) local release of pro-inflammatory chemicals in the skin. Neither can you stop the over-production of androgen or keratin protein nor can you stop the release of pro-inflammatory chemicals because all these processes takes place internally in your skin. However you can stop the accumulation of p. Acnes bacteria on your skin by preventing your skin from getting oily. Always use an antiseptic soap during bathing take a low carbohydrate diet. Do some exercise daily. Drink a lots of water to avoid constipation. Avoid pricking the pimples or popping the sebum as it may lead to black pigmentation & permanent scar formation. You can also take homoeopathic calcarea phos 200, 5 drops, thrice daily, in empty stomach also you can apply homoeopathic mother tincture berberis aquifoium q on the dark spots on your skin which are produced after the resolution of the pimples.

In Homeopathy, a huge number of wonderful medicines are present that are used to tackle hair loss cases. Every kind of hair loss (ranging from hair loss due to anemia / nutritional deficiencies, due to skin disorders, due to mental / physical trauma, due to childbirth or menopause, after acute diseases, to alopecia areata, alopecia totalis or androgenetic alopecia) can be treated with the help of well selected homeopathic medicines. Hair loss is due to dietary deficiency, hormonal imbalance, stress, strong chemical effects, styling tools, dandruff.
Remove these causes first and also follow these steps:-
1. For hair growth eat healthy diet.
2. Include protein rich diet. Soya food, protein shakes, beans, pulses are good for hair. 3. Nuts are good source of omega 3 and fiber. Its also good for hair. 4. Drink lots of water. 5. Start herbal tea or green tea. Its good for hair growth. 6. If you are non veg then its also good for hair. Protein helps in fast growth of hair and also prevent hair fall. 7. Take all dairy products. 8. You can apply curd on hair before head bath. After that wash hair with normal shampoo and apply conditioner. 9. You can use homoeopathic oil arnica hair oil. A good head massage is also helpful. 10. Avoid using strong chemicals and heating tools. Also avoid hair colouring. Use heena and amla for grey hair. If you want medicine revert back.

Egg white works well in order to lighten the pimple marks and the pimple scars. Take a fresh egg and break the egg, separate the egg white from the egg yolk. Apply this egg white on the pimple marks. After 10-15 minutes, wash with the cold water. Baking Soda Take some baking soda. Mix some water with the baking soda and apply this mixture on the pimple marks. Baking soda serves as an agent that carries out micro dermabrasion on the skin and helps to clear the pimple marks on the face and body. Tomatoes Tomatoes are rich in Vitamin A, which helps nourish the dead skin while rejuvenating it. Vitamin A helps by healing the skin and by helping facilitate quick growth of the skin while removing the scars. Using tomatoes to help heal the scars on the skin is not a lengthy process, but it is rather simple. Just take a tomato, slice it and make it into a pulp. Apply the pulp on the face and leave it on for twenty minutes’ time. Then, wash it off with some warm water. You could also mix cucumbers with it. Make a paste out of all of cucumbers and tomatoes and apply as a face mask. Leave it on for half an hour and wash it with some cool water. Follow this method two days at a time every week and observe the results.

Lemon Juice. Lemon juice could possibly be the best remedy for getting rid of dark spots that are caused for any reason. Lemon juice is naturally acidic and contains bleaching agents that will fade the dark pigment found in dark spots on the skin.
