There is a major problem in my gum and teeth blooding and pain last two month I take ment medicine but there is no any effect pulse suģess you a better solution.

BDS, MDS Prosthodontics
Dentist, Greater Noida
Go for scaling and root planning procedure. It will remove plaque and calculus and will heal your inflammed gums to stop bleeding. Medicines will help but first the cause has to be treated. Pain may be due to decay so may go for filling or rct. Intraoral examination will reveal the clear picture. Visit your dentist.

Proper brushing

One of the easiest steps to do to help your teeth keep clean. When brushing your teeth, position the bristles at an angle of 45 degrees near the gum line. Both the gum line and the tooth surface should be in contact with the bristles. Brush the outer surfaces of the teeth using a back-and-forth, up and down motion, making sure to be done gently in order to avoid bleeding. To clean the inside surfaces of the teeth and gums, place the bristles at a 45degree angle again and repeat the back-and-forth, up an down motion. Lastly, brush the surfaces of your tongue and the roof of your mouth to remove bacteria, which might cause bad breath.
Try to brush at least twice a day to prevent acid buildup from the breakdown of food by bacteria. However, if your work or activities prevent you from doing this, thoroughly rinse your mouth with water after eating to minimize the amount of food that would serve as substrate for the bacteria.

As it appears that you have periodontal problem or also known as pyorrhoea. This can be treated by scaling and polishing if not severe. you need to brush twice a day and maintain oral hygiene by keeping your tongue clean

I am 23 years old nowadays I'm facing one problem that is, my mouth test is having bitter! Please advise.

MDS - Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery
Dentist, Chennai
•A change in taste may result from dehydration, glossitis, a dry mouth, allergies, salivary glands infections, lack of zinc and vitamin B12, and polyps in the nose. •Others include breathing through the mouth, inflamed upper airways, and autoimmune diseases like Sjogren's syndrome and Bell's palsy. •Some injuries and traumas that cause a bitter taste include head, nerve, mouth and nose injuries, and biting your tongue. •Dental appliances such as braces, any surgery on your ear, nose, teeth or throat, and radiation therapy on your neck or head cause a bitter taste in mouth. •Gargle with water. Brush your teeth, tongue, roof of your mouth, and gums using toothpaste. Rinse your mouth with mouthwash. Drink liquids, chew sugar-free gum or mints, or suck on sour candies. Use plastic utensils if you have taste alteration when eating.

Hey mam I smoke cigarettes in this week I went to dentist he said me that you need advanced cleaning for your teeth because your inside cheeks have become slightly black but he told that it is not a big issue pls suggest.

If the greyish patch on your cheek is at initial stage, quiting the smoking habit will regress it. Visit the dentist for cleaning of your teeth and follow the instructions given by them.

I am 30years old. I have a pain in my teeth. When I eat anything like whether it is cold or hot. Kindly suggest me. I visited 1 dentist he told your teeth is breaking.

BDS, MDS
Dentist, Delhi
Your dentist must be having cavitation due to caries which results in pain on consumption of hot or cold stuffs. Treatment for this kind of problem is generally root canal treatment followed by capping of tooth.

Do you keep your mouth covered while playing sports? If no, please start using a full-face helmet or a mouth guard so that any unnecessary injury can be prevented.

I have a cavity in tooth. I have been using senquel toothpaste to prevent pain. But recently pain has started again. Any suggestions.

MDS, BDS
Dentist, Delhi
The toothpaste will never fill or restore your cavity, kindly get your tooth restored or get an x-ray done as according to me you might require an RCT for that tooth.

Hi, I have a habbit of taking honey with warm water early in the morning. Can I continue this after oil pulling. Can I do oil pulling with sesame oil or should I do only with coco nut oil.

PG Fellowship In Microdentistry, BDS
Dentist, Thane
Oil pulling is a very primitive way or cleansing your teeth it may not be very helpful. I would suggest ideally not to rely on the same.

I have pulp polyp. Went to a dentist. She said that its in my molar (deciduous tooth) she said that its my milk tooth and the permanent tooth did not came even when I am 19 now. So that's why I have problem of pulp polyp in my tooth. She said that I will have to pull out that teeth and to fill tha gap I should get braces. Is the reason by this doctor justified?

MDS - Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery
Dentist, Chennai
The pulp polyp is remedied by curetting the new connective tissue mass from the pulp holding cell and also carrying out endodontic therapies on the remaining tooth root structures, assuming the interradicular ground remains undamaged. Extraction can be an accepted remedy alternative. There is absolutely no malignant change and the lesion is not going to automatically regress. Leaving a pulp polyp without treatment can lead to a number of problems. Contamination of the adjoining gingival tissue mass and also abscess could appear. The harmful bacteria might spread to additional healthy teeth leading to other cavities to create, leading to the requirement for more dental treatments. Finally, the teeth might end up being too affected to restore and the impacted teeth might have to be removed.
