The best way is to do the following stepwise: cleanse the gut by mild herbal purgation. Twice or thrice. Start taking herbal'raktashodhak' start deep breathing and fresh air walks. Start leafy greens, salads etc aplenty. Start herbal combo applications on face in a proper medium on the basis of skin nature. Herbal scrubs and exfoliants will remove scars slowly. Pl inform your skin nature for further guidance.

I am 24 years old. I never had many pimples on my face. But last year I got to know that I have cysts in my left ovary and because of it I got severe acnes on my whole face. Those acnes left terrible marks. Now, my skin has become very sensitive and I get frequent red marks even when I don't get pimples. I want my skin to get clear just like before. What should be the ideal skin care routine and diet to get rid of all these marks?

For people with severe acne oral retinoids helps control sebum production and pimples. You may need actibiotics to control active acne like oral doxycycline and local clindamycin creams. Once the acne is under control then you can start treatment for pimple marks which may be pigmentation or scars. There are various treatments for acne scars which include creams, chemical peels, microdermaabrasion, microneedling, radiofrequency, surgery, fat fill laser etc. Creams work only for superficial pigmentation not for scars. You can start initially on milder depigmentation creams which contain kojic acid, arbutin, niacinamide like Melaglow at night and use sunscreen three times a day. And depending on type of skin whether oily or dry you can choose a face wash. It need examination and personalized plan. You can consult in private with photographs.

This can be solved easily. First start drinking hot water 2 glasses in the morning, evening each apply aloe vera leaf gel (fresh) after washing face normally. Keep overnight. Wash face normally in the morning. Do for 15 days. After that mix little pure saffron powder and turmeric powder pinch in aloevera gel and continue as before. Report every week. Food oil and salt intake to be restricted.

For real obstinate cases of dandruff where regular anti-dandruff shampoos don’t work, include zinc and essential fatty acids which guard against dandruff and a dry scalp. Foods such as whole wheat, oats, pumpkin seeds, peanuts, cashews, soybean and vegetable oils are good sources of zinc and essential fatty acids."

U may apply some herbal lepa and take some ayurvedic blood purifiers, for sure you will get good results. If you feel that you have water allergy then you should boil it n use or you may use water purifiers.

Foods For Hair

Our hair quality is fast deteriorating.
Just as our body is made of protein complex so is our hair. It needs optimum enzyme and hormonal functioning to grow and maintain its lustre and shine.

So, what are the hair foods?

  • For hair sebum production: Fish liver oil, meat, milk, cheese, eggs, spinach, broccoli, cabbage, carrots, apricots and peaches. These are rich in sebum producing vitamin a. 2 to 3 servings of these foods together is required daily to meet the vitamin a requirements.
  • For healthy scalp: Stack up vitamin c through 1-2 servings of either citrus fruits, strawberries, kiwi, pineapple, tomatoes, green peppers, potatoes and dark green vegetables. Along with vitamin c, another powerful antioxidant is vitamin e. The sources are cold-pressed vegetable oils, wheat germ oil, soybeans, raw seeds and nuts.
  • For keratin production and hair growthKeratin is a protein which makes our hair skeleton. Hence good quality protein from dairy products, eggs, meat, soya beans, pulses needs to be taken daily. The production of keratin needs a vitamin called biotin. It is found in brewer's yeast, whole grains, egg yolks, liver, rice and milk.
  • For general hair healthInositol found in whole grains, brewer's yeast, liver and citrus fruits is required for healthy hair at cellular level. Also the requirement of vitamin 6 is high for the absorption of many minerals and enzyme functioning.

To prevent hair loss:

  • Foods rich in vitamin b12 like chicken, fish, eggs and milk are required.
  • Some minerals like iodine found in table salt and foods produced from iodine rich soil are essential for thyroid hormone regulation which is required for hair texture.
