Hello, depo-provera is made of a hormone similar to progesterone. Change in the menstrual cycle is the most common side effect. You may have irregular bleeding or spotting. After a year of use, about 50% of women will stop getting their periods. Their periods usually return when they no longer get the shots. It's better to consult her gynaecologist for further guidance. Thanks.

Hi Shefali, delayed period could be due to stress or hormonal imbalance as she is known case of PCOD. If you had sex in fertile period in spite of protection pregnancy can occur in less than 5%

Male Infertility Types and Treatment Options

Low sperm count. This is most often the cause of male infertility.

Low sperm motility. Second most common reason

Abnormal sperm. Another common reason

Low sperm count should not be viewed as a definitive diagnosis of infertility but as one indicator of a fertility problem. A normal sperm count is considered to be 20 million per milliliter of semen.

Male infertility is usually caused by problems that affect either sperm production or sperm transport. Through medical testing, the cause of the problem may be found out. Roughly 2/3rd of infertile men have a problem with making sperm in the testes.

Male infertility affects approximately 7% of all men it is commonly due to deficiencies in the semen, and semen quality is used as a alternate measure of male fertility.

A lower amount of semen may indicate an issue with the seminal vesicles, blocked ducts or a prostate gland issue. Sperm count – 20 million to 300 million per milliliter is considered in the normal range. Below 10 million is considered “poor.”

Types of infertility and causes of infertility in men:*

* Male subfertility

* Low concentration of sperm in the semen

* Sperm abnormalities/abnormal semen

* Abnormal shape/morphology of the sperm

* Problems with movement/motility that makes sperm delivery difficult

* Abnormal liquefaction, absence of viable, healthy sperm,

Blockages or obstructions in the genital tract that prevent sperm delivery that can occur due to:

* Developmental disorders of the epididymis, vas deferens or seminal vesicles

* Scarring from inflammation

* Vasectomy

* Infertility caused by medical conditions, such as varicoceles and testicular torsion

* Genetic abnormalities

* Hormonal imbalances

* Lifestyle choices and environmental exposure.

* Idiopathic Infertility.

Initial testing will likely include:

Semen analysis, Ultrasound,  Post-ejaculation urinalysis,  Genetic testing, Sperm function tests, Hormone testing, Blood tests

Treating Male Infertility -

Assisted reproductive technologies (ART)

Artificial insemination

IVF, GIFT, and other techniques

Drug therapy for hormonal disorders

Treatment for problems with sexual intercourse.

Back and leg pain are common during pregnacy. It is because of the increasing baby weight and shifting of the line of gravity anteriorly. Avoid sitting for long time, walk around, do ankle pumps, maintain good postures, bend at knees while lifting, sleep in side lying with pillows under your knees, if you have no complication during your pregnancy then you can also do some back exs under the guidance of your doctor

If I presume that your gf has a regular 30 days menstrual cycle then there is a strong possibility of her being pregnant due to unprotected sex 15 days back but if she is having irregular menstrual cycle then probability chances lessens.So all depends upon her cycle and I will advise you to go for a Urine pregnancy test before acting further.

You are not pregnant. No need for any more tests. Also, you got your periods normally. Then why are you confused? Just relax. Please go for a better contraceptive (like condoms or OC Pills) next time rather than relying on I-Pill, I-Pill can fail and even have terrible side effects.

Every month in period time I suffer much of pain for that. Please tell me the solution.
Hello. We can minimize the pain during menses with diet and medicines (which are safe to take).. Diet: - Calcium is a mineral associated with building healthy bones and teeth. However, it may have some applications in minimizing the harmful effects of menstrual cramping. So,increase your intake by eating low-fat dairy products such as milk, yogurt and cheese or green leafy vegetables. - Your body uses vitamin B-6 to manufacture new red blood cells. When you lose red blood cells via menorrhagia, your body will need more to build new cells. Also, vitamin B-6 is required for your blood sugar to stay at healthy levels. This can help prevent menstrual cramping-related mood swings and fatigue. Vitamin B-6 is found in fortified cereals, bananas, spinach, sunflower seeds, avocados, tomato juice and salmon. - Just as foods can help reduce the symptoms of menstrual cramping and bleeding, foods can aggravate your symptoms. This includes eating excessive amounts of sugar -- such as cakes, cookies and pies. These are known to contribute to water retention, which make you feel bloated and uncomfortable. High-salt content foods -- french fries, pizza and other fried foods --- can also contribute to bloating. Caffeine-containing beverages like tea and coffee should be avoided as they can contribute to headaches, mood swings and trouble sleeping. - If you're craving chocolate, make sure it's over 70 per cent cocoa. This bittersweet treat will help you relax your muscles. - We all know fluids are essential when your body is cramping or bloating. Drinking two to three litres of water during your period is essential. - Tea is an easy way to replace your caffeine craving. Green tea to soothe cramps. now, even though green tea contains caffeine, try decaffeinated green tea instead — but be aware, you may lose some health benefits with a decaf version. Caffeine is another no-no. Drinking lots of coffee or pop during your period can increase higher levels of tension and anxiety. - Avoid anything that can damage your liver should be off the list. So, avoid alcohol. - Red meat, Smart says, is also know to cause stomach upsets and cramps. Medication: Start taking homoeopathic medicines - Mag. Phos. 6x and Colocynthis 200 - every 2 hrly. during the time of menses. And take Five Phos. and Alfaalfa Tonic - thrice daily for 1 month. Revert me back.
