Hello, there are few food items which helps you in boosting up your memory power, increases focus & concentration, so try to take more of these: 1. Choline: good sources of choline include liver, milk, eggs and peanuts. 2. Vitamin b: b vitamins are not synthesized in the body, and thus need to be obtained from food. B-complex vitamins are water-soluble vitamins, which means that they are not stored within the body. In consequence, the b vitamins need ongoing replenishment. Vitamin b1 (thiamine) rich sources include unrefined grain products, ready-to-eat cereals, meat (especially pork), dairy products, peanuts, legumes, fruits and eggs. Foods that contain high concentrations of vitamin b3 (niacin) in the free form include beans and organ meat, as well as enriched grain and cereal products. While niacin is present in corn and other grains, the bioavailability of the nutrient is much less than it is in protein-rich sources. The role of vitamin b9 (folic acid) during pregnancy is vital to normal development of the nervous system in the fetus. Good sources of folate include liver, ready-to-eat breakfast cereals, beans, asparagus, spinach, broccoli, and orange juice. Animal protein products are a good source of vitamin b12 (cobalamine), particularly organ meats such as kidney or liver. Other good sources are fish, eggs, and dairy products. 3. Vitamin a: the foods highest in vitamin a are any pigmented fruits and vegetables and leafy green vegetables. 4. Zinc: zinc is a very important part of the brain as well; many regions of the brain, such as the cerebellum, and hippocampus have neurons that contain this nutrient. Zinc is needed to maintain normal vitamin a levels in blood plasma. Sources of zinc are meats, certain seafood, whole grains, baked beans, oatmeal, milk (low-fat), cashewnut, almonds, kidney-beans, cheese, peas, spinach, sesame seeds, pumpkin seeds, flaxseeds. Medication: take homoeopathic medicine for increasing memory - anacardium 200/ once daily.

To be very frank, if you have the will there will be a way. Make up your mind and all other things will fall in place automatically. Stop making excuses and face the reality. Be honest to accept all your weaknesses and commit yourself to work sincerely. Give your best and keep improving on a daily basis. Don't under estimate yourself. Don't degrade your self esteem. Slowly and studily work upon your weak points and then you will pick up speed in no time and excel in what ever you do! have faith in your self!

Tremors, feeling anxious or nervous, sense of panic, sweating, increased heartbeat, feeling of impending doom, stomach discomfort, dizziness etc are signs of anxiety. These can be debilitating. If the anxiety us overwhelming, consult a psychiatrist at the earliest. With the right medication and counseling, it is likely your symptoms will improve. Only strong will power, determination, attending AA meetings and diverting mind when tempted will help you stop alcohol or may need professional help from a psychiatrist or de addiction centre. Try to do meditation and yoga. Read good books and listen to music and if you are believer attend Bhajans Alcohol causes 7 types of cancer, including breast, mouth and bowel cancers. When you drink alcohol, cancer-causing chemicals are formed. Alcohol also affects hormone levels and makes cells even more likely to be damaged by smoking. The less alcohol you drink, the lower the risk of cancer. No type of alcohol is better or worse than another, it is the alcohol itself that leads to the damage, regardless of whether it is in wine, beer or spirits. And drinking and smoking together are even worse for you. Not everyone who drinks alcohol will develop cancer. But on the whole, scientists have found that some cancers are more common in people who drink more alcohol than others. Every year, alcohol causes 4% of cancers .Tips to cut down on alcohol. There are lots of simple ways to cut down on the amount of alcohol you drink. It can help to work out if there are particular times or situations when you tend to have a drink, whether that’s a bad day at work or a weekly pub quiz tradition, and plan what you’ll say and do differently next time. Have more alcohol-free days a week. For liver health it’s best to have at least 2 days off alcohol in a row each week. Try agreeing on certain days with your partner or a friend and help each some wi other and stick to it. If you are planning to drink alcohol, decide on a limit in advance and make sure you don’t go over it. Swap every other alcoholic drink for a soft one – starting with your first drink. Try shandy instead of a pint of beer, or swap ne for soda and have a spritzer. Don’t stock up on beer, wine or spirits at home. Finish one drink before pouring another, because topping up drinks makes it harder to keep track of how much you’ve had and when you planned to stop. Avoid buying drinks in rounds, that way you don’t have to keep pace with anyone. Tell a friend or partner that you’re cutting down on alcohol, they can support you – or even join you.

You need to get over the problems faced in the past. Present problem is because of the past. You need regular sessions with a psychologist to get over the hurts/frustrations, etc. At present you are suffocated with past experiences. Recommend psychotherapy. Or, practice all that is taught daily on astha channel 5.00 to 7.30 am. Very very effective- esp anulom-vilom and bramri and udgit. You will get miraculous results for free and without adverse effects of allopathic medicines and will gain good physical and mental health, increase in your stamina, good concentration, improved memory, etc. It is excellent to drive depression, negative thinking out of your system. Not necessary, you have to be present in front of your tv at 5 am. Begin by switching on your tv just whatever time you get up and start practicing as being taught. Gradually when you regulate your sleeping time, you will be able to get up next morning at 5 and will be able to do complete workout. The time you spend here will actually be an investment that will remove tension, stress, etc. Leading to increased positivity.

No one is worth dying for, period. Your life is in your hands and it is very precious. Good friendships should bring out the best in you. If this girl has moved on for some reason, you must learn to accept it gracefully. True intimacy is all about being comfortable when that person is both close to you and as well as when she moves away. This is the difference between attachment and bonding: the former can be made with anybody and anything too - it is typically based on insecurity and your behavior will be clingy. Whereas bonding is based on security and it can be made only with a human being, which is normally with the mother, primarily. You may have suffered problems of attachment with your mother and so will find it difficult to bond. Please work with a counselor to resolve that and then you will feel better. Leave this girl alone and learn if there was anything you did to push her away, like clingy behavior. Then change that and you will make good rapport with people.

My exams are going on currently, I don't know why I am feeling afraid, even though I am studying, I sometimes feel that I have not studied anything, even though I am not feeling hungry a day before the exam.

POST GRADUATE DIPLOMA IN CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGY, Masters in clinical psychology

HI Lybrate user If you prepare for the exam properly you should do fine, there is no need to worry excessively just believe in yourself. But if you find you don't understand some of your course material take help from teacher or your classmates. Don't try to be perfect just do your best. Confiding in someone you trust and who will be supportive is a great way to alleviate stress and worry. Try to think positive such as- "I will do my best" "I have done it before so I can do it again" etc. When you feel excessive stress just close your eyes and take several long slow deep breaths. Believe in yourself and just do your best. All The Best.

I would suggest that you consult. Psychiatrist if you have 2or mode of these symptoms. I would also like yo suggest that you make a list of things that you feel stresses you at work. Then look at things amongst the list that you can change and work on them. Thanks.

Hello lybrate-user, I am sorry to learn about all the difficulties you are facing. Our mind and bodies have a strong connection- our mind reflects the weakness and lethargy due to some deficiencies in the body. Similarly, the body responds by the change in emotions as a result of these physical changes which are felt by the mind. You have a small baby and you should be able to care for her/him to your fullest potential, as their childhood will not return. Therefore, I hope you are able to overcome your emotional problems, soon. As for physical problems, I would strongly advise you do a full body check-up once and get following tests done- 1. Thyroid profile 2. Vit d3 3. Vit b12 4. Hba1c (glycated sugar) once when you get your test reports consult your physician as to what diet and lifestyle modifications should be made. And also take medication, if any required. Ffollow your doctor's advise, thereafter as deligently as possible. If your body will get fitter you mind will slowly begin to feel better and the quality of your thoughts and moods will improve. You will also feel more open to talking about any life problems if they are bothering you or you're not able to find a solution to. Don't worry, this is just a temporary phase. I hope my advise helps you. Good luck.
