I've got a very faint line in the urine pregnancy test. I'm not sure if I'm pregnant. If so what are the natural ways to terminate pregnancy as we are not in a position to have a baby. and what are the confirmation sign of pregnancy. My last period was on march 12 I also have an irregular period. Please guide me with the right procedure to be followed.

MBBS, MS - Obstetrics and Gynaecology
Gynaecologist, Nagpur
Hello lybrate-user, I can understand your concern. Very faint line can be seen even in a negative pregnancy or very early pregnancy. Do repeat the test after 2 days even if then it is a faint line then meet a doctor as it can b a misplaced or not developing pregnancy too. As your period was about 2 months back. If you have regular cycles then by this time you should have a definite positive test. There is nothing like natural way of termination. If someone is telling so then he/she is fooling around. You should meet a gynaec personally to get abortifacient pills.

Libido - 7 Lifestyle Changes to Improve it!

Libido - 7 Lifestyle Changes to Improve it!

Libido or sex drive means the desire to have sex; there are a number of reasons that can lead to low libido. There are a number of methods by which you can increase your libido, some of them are:

  1. Exercise: Exercise is one of your major weapons against low libido; make sure to exercise on a regular basis as it helps in improving circulation in the body. Do various exercises such as squats and push-ups to improve your strength and endurance. It is known to increase production of sex hormones and endorphins in the body.
  2. Limit smoking: Smoking cigarettes causes complications in the body as it is known to be a vasoconstrictor. The blood vessels tend to narrow, thus leading to damage in the arteries and veins. The veins of the penis may be damaged leading to sexual problems.
  3. Stress reduction: You may adopt various techniques such as meditation and yoga to reduce stress levels in the body. Stress raises cortisol levels in the body which can hamper your sex life.
  4. Sleep: You need to sleep adequately and sleep sound as sleeping deficiency has been linked with erectile dysfunction. Sleep also revitalizes your body and releases beneficial hormones in the body.
  5. Restrict alcohol consumption: It is important that you restrict alcohol consumption as alcohol in excess may lead to obesity and other related disorders. It may also lead to mental health problems such as anxiety which can impair sexual drive.
  6. Cut down on coffee: Coffee is a known vasoconstrictor as it tends to narrow your blood vessels. It limits blood flow, thus may reduce your sex drive. Make sure you limit coffee intake to 1 or 2 cups of coffee to avoid the complications.
  7. Diet: Include plenty of vegetables and fruits in your diet to get the necessary nutrients in your diet. Vegetables such as cabbage and broccoli contain antioxidants that protect your body against free radical damage. Include oily fish such as salmon that is rich in omega 3 fatty acids because they help in improving sexual drive. If you wish to discuss about any specific problem, you can consult a sexologist.

Hello. Please use salisia kt or scalpe shampoo for head bath thrice a week for a month and then as maintenance at least once a week for 2 months. Avoid oiling as fungus thrives in oily scalp. You could oil 1 hr prior to head bath.

Total bile acids are metabolized in the liver and can serve as a marker for normal liver function. Increases in serum bile acids are seen in patients with acute hepatitis, chronic hepatitis, liver sclerosis, liver cancer, and intrahepatic cholestasis of pregnancy. In Obstetric Cholestasis, concentrations greater than 15 μmol/L usually confirms the diagnosis in the absence of other hepatic disease. Itching is present. Bile acid concentrations greater than 40 μmol/L have been associated with increased fetal risk. Please consult gynaecologist.

Is there a cure or any medicine for synechiae band in 16 week pregnancy. Please help.

Is there a cure or any medicine for synechiae band in 16 week pregnancy. Please help.
OBJECTIVE: Uterine synechiae have generally been considered benign findings in pregnancy. We used a large perinatal database to test the hypothesis that uterine synechiae are associated with pregnancy complications. METHODS: We performed a retrospective cohort study of women with singleton pregnancies presenting for routine ultrasonographic examinations at 17-22 weeks from 1990-2009. Pregnancies with multiple fetuses, amniotic bands, and congenital uterine anomalies were excluded. We compared pregnancy outcomes between women with and without uterine synechiae. Multivariable logistic regression was used to adjust for confounders. RESULTS: Of 65,518 pregnancies meeting inclusion criteria, 296 (0.45%) were diagnosed with uterine synechiae. Women with uterine synechiae were significantly more likely to have placental abruption (2.1% compared with 0.6%, adjusted odds ratio [OR] 3.25, 95% confidence interval [CI] 1.43-7.36), preterm premature rupture of membranes (PROM) (5.5% compared with 2.3%, adjusted OR 2.51, 95% CI 1.51-4.18), and cesarean delivery for malpresentation (5.1% compared with 3.0%, adjusted OR 1.75, 95% CI 1.04-2.95). The risks of placenta previa, fetal growth restriction, stillbirth, and preterm delivery were not significantly different. CONCLUSION: Uterine synechiae are associated with significant increase in the risk of preterm PROM, placental abruption, and cesarean delivery for malpresentation. The notion of uterine synechiae as benign findings in pregnancy should be re-evaluated.

Hello- ayurveda advises not to do any thing that might affect your mental health during pregnancy. It can affect the growth and the shape of child in the uterus. That is the reason why indian people organize religious fests or advises holy book reading during pregnancy.
