Apple cider vinegar to reduce hair fall Apple cider vinegar can be effective to control hair fall and it gives soft and manageable hairs. Mix one part of apple cider vinegar in one part of water. Take this mixture in a spray bottle and spray onto your scalp and hairs. Massage gently and leave on for 5 minutes before washing off with a mild cleanser. If you do not like the smell of ACV, just mix a little amount of your regular oil to the vinegar and use it. For better results make use of this treatment at least twice a week.

Hello Dr. ! Dr. please suggest me proper diet to increase sperm count .How can I increase my sperm count from 97 mill...
Hi, Take homoeopathic medicine - Schwabe's Damiaplant/ thrice daily for 4 weeks. Diet and management: - Eat many vegetables and whole grains, and buy organic foods when possible. Drink plenty of water. -Reduce or eliminate junk food and switch to a diet low in fats, and high in protein. -Increase your intake of foods rich in vitamin C (bell peppers, dark leafy greens, kiwifruit, broccoli, berries, citrus fruits, tomatoes, peas, and papayas) and antioxidants (cabbage, broccoli, asparagus, avocados, beetroot and spinach, nuts like pecans, walnuts, hazelnuts, pistachio, almonds, cashew nuts, peanut butter). -Take in plenty of mineral zinc (walnuts, beans, oysters, beef, and chicken, beans, nuts, certain types of seafood such as crab and lobster, whole grains, fortified breakfast cereals, and dairy products). It's associated with increased semen volume, sperm count, and testosterone levels. -Amino acids, traces of which can be found in meats, fruits, and vegetables, are believed to increase sperm count and keep the sperm from clumping. -Folic acid (Vitamin B9) found in cereals, green leafy vegetables, legumes, and orange juice may contribute to an increase for semen. -Spend significant time in the sun so your body can synthesize vitamin D, and eat plenty of yogurt, skim milk, and salmon to boost your calcium intake. -Include Goji berries, Ginseng, Pumpkin seeds, Walnuts, Asparagus, Bananas in your diet. -Certain lifestyle habits, which stress your body and immune system, will lead to a lower sperm count. Refrain from smoking and alcohol in moderation. -Stress can interfere with the hormones needed to assist in sperm production. -Keep your weight in check. Being too large or too small can affect hormonal balance. Too much estrogen or too little testosterone will have a negative impact on your sperm count. -Get a full 8 hours of sleep every night when you're working on upping your sperm count. -Regular exercising keeps you fit and healthy, so don't forget to do it. Practice pranayam regularly for half an hour preferably in a garden early in the morning. Not to do these exercises within 4 hours after meals. One can have meals not within 15 minutes after finishing these exercises. These exercises are good for gaining and maintaining good health. Also, practice Pelvic floor exercise or Kegel exercise, consists of repeatedly contracting and relaxing the muscles that form part of the pelvic floor. In order to locate your pelvic muscles try to stop and begin the flow of urine as using the bathroom. You can perform Kegel exercises with the empty bladder as exercising pelvic muscle with the full bladder might result in urinary tract infections.

Know the reasons of choosing Non-Surgical Facelift

Hello. I am Dr. Latika Arya. I am a Dermatologist at L.A Skin and Aesthetic Clinic, Defense Colony, New Delhi. Today, I will be talking about non-surgical facelifts.

Yes, it is possible to get a facelift without going under the knife. No wonder people are choosing non-surgical facelifts over surgical facelifts because they are so convenient to do, there is hardly any downtime and the results are very natural. So, today I will be talking about the various options which are available for non-surgical facelifts. So, the most popular one is the liquid facelift. It’s called liquid facelift because it is performed through the injection of fillers and Botox through very tiny injections into the face. These are very popular because the result is instant, there is hardly any downtime and it instantly lifts the chin and the sagging jaw line.

The face is accessed first, and your treatment plan is discussed with you and the treatments are scheduled after putting a little numbing cream and it is not only addresses the facelift but it also takes care of the wrinkles and even if younger patients want to augment their certain features likes lips, cheeks, or they want to narrow their jaw line, correct the nose, all these things can be also taken care of. Next, a popular non-surgical facelift is the vampire facelift. This is relatively a new procedure which has become very popular because it is quite affective. It is uses your own blood and the platelets are extracted by processing the blood in a sterile manner and these are injected onto the face, a series of three to four treatments are required and gradually you start to notice effacement of the wrinkles, lifting of the skin and improvement in skin quality. Then, another popular way to lift the face is Thread Facelift. These are non-surgical threads. These are made up of absorbable material. These are inserted under the skin with very fine needles and it is put in the area where the lift is required. Again, the results come gradually and it’s very natural, it lifts the cheeks, narrows the jaw line and even takes care of the double chin.

Then there is another skin tightening procedure which is done with the help of machines that is laser radio frequency devices and ultrasonic. This is available by the name of thermage, ultherapy, secret, fraxel etc. These all we are doing and this helps to renew the collagen in your skin which gradually lifts the skin. Now, there are some people who don’t want to go for very aggressive treatments but yet they want to maintain their skin so for them prevention is recommended by the use of sunscreen, good anti-aging products and they can do maintenance treatments with the mesotherapy in which the collagen stimulating molecules, solutions, and agents are infused into the skin via electroporation. So, gradually the skin starts to improve and maintains itself and not to forget is the maintenance of a healthy lifestyle and sun protection, healthy diet, exercise, proper exercise, these go a long way in preventing aging and preventing the skin sagging.

So, if you are interested in these non-surgical treatments and would like to know more about them, you can contact us through Lybrate or you can visit our clinic L.A Skin and Aesthetic Clinic at Defense Colony in New Delhi. We would be happy to help you. Thank you.

Greetings lybrate-user, there could be multiple reasons as to why the recurrence is happening. A) low immunity secondary to anemia b) infection- either bacterial viral or infectious mononucleosis (all of which present with a more or less similar set of symptoms that you are suffering with. Advice - avoid street food, use sanitizer as much as possible and don't take chances with water. Second if you are already careful about the stuff I mentioned above then you may have to go ahead and investigate the problem. Step 1 - get a throat swab done for culture and sensitivity 2- test for infectious mononucleosis 3 cbp (complete blood test) based on reports you may have to start antibiotics or you may also have to undergo tonsillectomy. If you have more than 6 attacks of sore throat and enlarged tonsils or if you had 3 attacks per year for the past 3 years then you must undergo tonsillectomy. Hope this helps. Thanks.

Treating Lumps and Pain in Breasts of Women

Treating Lumps and Pain in Breasts of Women

Feeling a lump on your breasts can be a terrifying moment. 'Cancer' is the first thing that comes to mind but in reality, most lumps in the breast are not caused by cancer. Apart from cancer, breast lumps can be caused by non-cancerous growths, injuries and infections. The only way to correctly diagnose the cause of a lump in the beasts is through a biopsy. Hence, this is the first step towards treating a breast lump. From here on, treatment will depend on the cause identified.

Mastitis or Breast Infection

Mastitis is a painful infection of the breast tissue often faced by women who are breastfeeding. It can be treated with heat treatment and antibiotics. Massaging the breast while taking a warm shower or applying a warm compress. This will open up the milk ducts and should be followed by nursing the baby or using a breast pump to relieve the swelling and pain.

Abscess

Antibiotics are the first line of treatment against an abscess but this is effective only if given in the initial stage of the infection. In later stages, an abscess will need to be surgically drained.

Fibroadenomas

This is a non-cancerous tumour often found in young women. It is often difficult to distinguish between a Fibroadenoma and a cancerous tumour and hence these are usually surgically removed.

Fibrocystic Changes

In some cases, the breast itself is composed of knotted, rope like tissue. This is known as having fibrocystic breasts. If a new lump presents itself on fibrocystic breasts, a mammogram and an ultrasound are performed to evaluate the lump. In most cases fibrocystic changes do not require any medication or surgery.

Breasts Cysts

Cysts can be defined as fluid filled lumps. In some cases, these cysts become apparent at the time of ovulation and disappear after the period. In other cases, it may need to be drained with a thin needle. Cysts often recur and need to be re-drained.

Fat Necrosis and Lipoma

Fat necrosis is a lump caused by an injury to the fatty tissue in the breast. Lipoma is a fatty growth within the fatty tissue. In both these cases, no treatment is required but if it causes any problems, it can be removed.

Breast Cancer

If the biopsy reveals the presence of a cancerous tumour, you must immediately consult an oncologist. Treatment options for breast cancer include chemotherapy, radiation, surgery and hormone treatment.

Ayurveda For Arthritis

Inflammation and resultant pain in the joints are usually the basic tenets of Arthritis. This joint disorder can be painful and often, a debilitating one. It can also make the joints stiff. There are many ways of dealing with this problem, but with Ayurveda, one can get to the root cause of the ailment and its presence. This helps in taking a well rounded holistic approach towards treating it with ancient know how that revolves around herbs and other natural substances which have great medicinal value, lifestyle changes, diet, exercise and Yoga, oil massages, and other methods. Arthritis is known as Sandhivata in Ayurvedic jargon.

Read on to find out how Ayurveda can help in dealing with Arthritis.

  • Herbs: One can make use of various herbs that contain Linoleic Acid to help in providing lubrication to the joints so as to prevent pain and stiffness. These herbs include Borage seed oil which is extracted from Borage seed, Evening Primrose oil, Blackcurrant seed oil, Capsaicin, Curcumin, Feverfew, Flaxseed oil and a standard Ayurvedic concoction that combines Ashwagandha, Gugulla, ginger, cumin and haldi or turmeric. These substances can help in treating the joints that are suffering from the pain of Arthritis.
  • Diet: In Ayurveda, to treat ailments like Arthritis, it is usually recommended that a patient should start by flushing out the body toxins from within. Diet is one of the ways in which this can be done. A detoxification diet to clean the colon would be one of the foremost ways of doing a cleanse. Further, in one's daily diet, there should be a good dose of vegetables, fruits and other juices. Also, one must have plenty of herbs and spices, which can be used to season the food. Curd should generally be avoided and garlic should be used liberally. The various properties that help in an inside out cleanse that will help the system function in a better manner so that the treatment of ailments is also effectively supported.
  • Exercise: In Ayurveda, a certain amount of daily exercise, which spans at least 45 minutes to one hour, is a must. A pattern of healthy eating, restful sleep and exercise is what usually helps in treating ailments like Arthritis. For this ailment specifically, light exercise like walking is recommended. Various Yoga asanas that involve sitting, standing, balancing and lying down poses as well as restful poses will also help in treating knee, shoulder and lower back pain specifically. Also, mustard oil massages can help in reducing the pain.

These are the few ways in which Ayurveda can help Arthritis patients live a more normal life with minimal pain
