Dust allergy. Asthma. Sinusitis. Taking medicines, avoiding everything and yet no relief? you might be missing the hidden link.

Come every winter, and you start sneezing every morning? and the runny nose and may be even heaviness of head. Commonly known as'allergy' or in summers as 'dust allergy'. 

If it's once in a while, you get through it with an anti allergic. What do you do when you have sneezing almost all through the season. Some patients might have advanced to have complaints all through the year even. 

But if you have reached a stage where you or someone you know has exhausted all your options - use of anti allergic, like cetrizine's, avil's, or having done every surgery advised, removed your polyps, corrected the deviated nasal septum (dns), even removed tonsils if advised, you sit down to think why the problem has never reduced. The same is for recurrent sinusitis and tonsillitis, as well for asthma. 

Sadly if you wud been saved of much trouble had you taken some time to understand that the climate or the dust could never be the cause of the problem, but only triggers. Otherwise every person walking around you should have been sneezing since he breathes the same air as you and if it is some food item then your family is mostly eating the same thing. So the cause can't be external. And that's what's the reason is. The change in your cell behaviour to external stimuli, esp when exaggerated is known as allergy. Without correcting this cell behaviour pattern, getting rid of this allergy could be a puzzle.

A few tips to find a real way out of allergy

1. Find out what changes in life could have triggered a change in body mechanics - meaning stress. 

2. Until then or if you don't find any stress - avoid exposures to triggering factors

3. Engage in stress relieving activities - sports, yoga, meditation or even hanging out with people you like and share your mind. 

4. Homeopathy rectifies the cell behaviour and thereby provide longer lasting relief. The patient is challenged to resume taking fruits that he had stopped. Go out in open air which you would otherwise avoid.

Requires detailed investigation and examination. Preliminary investigations suggested: hb, tlc, dlc, esr, blood sugar fasting & pp, uric acid vit d urine r/e x-ray of the affected part. Anyway it may be tried sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Spring beds, folding beds or thick mattress are harmful use no pillow under the head. Do hot fomantation paracetamol 250mg od & sos x 5days. Caldikind plus 1tab od x10. Do neck, back, knee & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. Do not ignore it. Let it not become beginning of a bigger problem. Make sure that patient is not allergic to any of the medicines that he/she is going to take. If it does not give relief in 4-5days, inform.

Five symptoms a woman should never ignore

Most women tend to ignore their own well-being. A woman's health deteriorates faster as she ages, therefore women must go for complete body checkups regularly. Here are few symptoms to be cautious about and if you notice any of these, do visit your doctor soon.

1. A lump or a cyst - a breast lump is not to be ignored. If you detect/feel a suspicious breast lump, remember it could be a cyst. Now the cyst could be benign or otherwise, best to let the specialists find that out for you. Get a breast examination done at the soonest.
2. Shortness of breath - this is a very common problem amongst women and is an indicator for cardiac problems, even an impending heart attack. If shortness of breath is a common occurrence, also followed by fatigue, dizziness, etc, schedule a check-up pronto. Chest pain and nausea should be given immediate medical assistance.
3. Inability to sleep - an occasional sleepless night is fine but if this has become a habit and you have major difficulty in falling asleep regularly, this could be an issue. This usually happens to women when they enter menopause. Women need to get ample sleep, and if there are disturbances in your sleep, please consult your doctor.
4. Headaches - frequent headaches which occur at levels which are unbearable are not to be taken lightly. Headaches could be symptoms of stroke, brain infections or tumor or other ailments.
5. Pain in intercourse - sex should not be painful. If it hurts, something is wrong and your body is most likely trying to tell you something. This could be to do with any of the gynecological problems, so better see your ob-gyn soon.

I am feeling tired everyday my doctor say that is because my blood pressure is low 100/80 and my body is weak he said to me that I need to drink juce and eat food. Is 100/80 is too low BP? I worry that why my BP is low.

Hi. Blood pressure of 120/80 mm hg is considered normal. Anything less than that is considered optimal (even better than normal). So you do not have to do anything to increase your bp. Drink lot of fruit juices, soups etc, eat well so that you do not feel weak. Feeling weak has nothing to do with your bp. Take care.

I am 28 year old , in last november I stretch my legs very tightly during intercourse, after that day I faced leg pain every time. It mainly started in cool whether like when I sit in ac room or in winter session. Please help me. I went to many bone specialist , they all give me some vitamin tablets, but I do not get any result. I perfectly fine before this stretching , but no one able to understand my problem. I can not understand how one stretching create deficiency in vitamins or increase my uric acid. You might have pulled a leg muscle. Over-stretching can lead to a muscle strain, which is also called a pulled muscle and involves the muscle fiber tearing. Try self care at home: Protection, rest, ice, compression, and elevation (known as the PRICE formula) can help the affected muscle. Here's how: First, remove all constrictive clothing, including jewelry, in the area of muscle strain. Then: Protect the strained muscle from further injury. Rest the strained muscle. Avoid the activities that caused the strain and other activities that are painful. Ice the muscle area (20 minutes every hour while awake). Ice is a very effective anti-inflammatory and pain-reliever. Small ice packs, such as packages of frozen vegetables or water frozen in foam coffee cups, applied to the area may help decrease inflammation. Compression can be gently applied with an Ace or other elastic bandage, which can both provide support and decrease swelling. Do not wrap tightly. Elevate the injured area to decrease swelling. Prop up a strained leg muscle while sitting, for example. Activities that increase muscle pain or work the affected body part are not recommended until the pain has significantly improved. If you hear a "popping" sound with the injury, cannot walk, or there is significant swelling, pain, fever, you should be examined by a doctor.

Of course it is possible to quit smoking although it may appear near impossible. Smoking is always dangerous to life and to the others who inhale the side-stream and secondhand smoke. Just the fact that you want to give up smoking is a good starting point. The habit can be very difficult to halt because of the many conditions attached to smoking. In fact these conditions can exist all through the day unlike other addictions. But your desire to want to stop is the most important factor. It is important to find out about the ill-effects of smoking to have a reason that alarms you about continuing in the habit. The information is really scary. The nicotine in tobacco smoke stimulates the heart beat to raise the blood pressure in no time at all. So you must avoid it like the plague: it is just very bad medicine for you. In fact it is highly toxic too. You will need to stop smoking or consuming any tobacco related items with immediate effect. You should start vigorous exercises, gradually increasing it over a period of time. Do deep breathing exercises every time you feel like smoking (try Yoga), and replace the oral urge with some healthy food substitute to satiate the need. You may also take hard candy or chewing gum. If the urge is too strong, then use nicotine chewing gum or nicotine patches, for a little while until the smoking drive reduces substantially. You may also join Smokers Anonymous in your city where the support is really extraordinary for like-minded people who are also in the same situation. Keep yourself occupied or engaged with interesting activities during the times when it is most tempting. Keep the company of non-smokers for some time i.e. at least for the first 21 days. Above all announce it to everyone that you have quit smoking. Here’s a piece of very good advice: even if you accidentally/willfully take a cigarette, it is not the end of the world – you can start the cessation all over again. You must persevere with the best support until you defeat this addiction. Counseling is very useful in the initial stages and when temptations are at their highest. All the damage you incurred earlier because of the smoking can be reverted back to normal in quick time.

Hair fall could b significant or just physiological without any systemic involvement. Firstly, don't stress over it. Meditate. Practice yoga. Relax yourself. Stress vil increase your hairfall. Drink two litres of water. Eat plenty of pulses, meat, fish and milk. Avoid hair cosmetics. Wash hair twice or thrice a week. Shampoo should be done to wash dirt, dust and grime and not for anything else. Don't use dyes, bleaches or straighteners. Massage scalp to improve circulation. After a bath, don't blow dry your hair instead naturally dry hair. If any scalp infection, get it treated. Any allergy should be taken care of. Wash scalp with kenozol shampoo to remove dandruff. Greying of hair increases with nutritional deficiencies. So, make sure to have plenty of milk, milk products, fish, jaggery, spinach, lettuce, wheat, meat. Have calcium and iron supplements.
