I want to know about masturbation. Please tell me is it good or not? If good, then tell me the process how do I mastu...
Let us start with the advantages of masturbation: 1. Masturbation ease tension in both male and female. 2. Masturbation makes a male or female feel light. 3. Masturbation prevents a guy from being sick due to too much sperm deposit. 4. Masturbation helps in producing an imaginary sex image in both male and female. 5. Masturbation reduces the rate of a male or female horny feelings. 6. Masturbation prevents a man from having sex without a woman. 7. Masturbation satisfies both male and female sexually. 8. Masturbation reduces sexually transmitted diseases. 9. Masturbation preserves a virgin guy (based on what some people believes). 10. Masturbation cools an aroused body. 11. Masturbation is the best way of a collection of sperm when a running a sperm count analysis. The disadvantage of masturbation 1. Masturbation is a serious sin in the holy bible. 2. Masturbation makes the penis or dick to get weak when been used in the body of a woman. 3. Masturbation makes a penis develop too many veins thereby making it unattractive. 4. Masturbation causes infections in females. 5. Masturbation weakens the hormone responsible for producing sperm. 6. Masturbation makes a man moan, suffer and starve for real sex during the period of masturbating. 7. It reduces the period of ejaculation in men. 8. Masturbation weakens the womb in females thereby not enabling the womb to carry a child which leads to abortion (miscarriages most of the time). 9. It sometimes causes infertility in women. 10. It causes cancer in women. 11. Masturbation can make a woman lose her virginity. 12. It can cause sperm disability which leads to abnormal children (in fewer cases).

General Physician,
What are the solution for dengue fever.
There is no specific medication for treatment of a dengue infection. -Use analgesics with acetaminophen (crocin or dolo -650 mg) and avoid those containing ibuprofen, naproxen, aspirin or aspirin containing drugs. -Take rest, drink plenty of fluids like coconut water, lime water etc.to prevent dehydration. -Avoid visiting heavily populated residential areas, if possible. -Use mosquito repellents/mosquito nets when indoors.  -When outdoors, wear long-sleeved shirts and long pants

Does having 450 ml of Drinks once in a week harmful in diabetes? What is more preferable Rum? Whisky? Or Beer?

MBBS, CCEBDM, Diploma in Diabetology

Does having 450 ml of Drinks once in a week harmful in diabetes? What is more preferable Rum? Whisky? Or Beer?
Mr. Lybrate-user, alcohol in any quantity is not beneficial in diabetes. 450 ml per week is a fairly large quantity when drinks like rum or whisky is considered as here is higher alcohol concentration in both. Beer 450 ml is not such a large quantity. However, alcohol gives empty calories, masks hypoglycemic awareness. Plus it does affect liver in the long run leading to alcoholic fatty liver disease and later its consequences. So in my opinion lesser quantity (about 180 ml per week) may be ok if drinks other than beer are consumed.

I have tightness in my chest and upto the throat and feeling breathlessness. Is this due to gas or something else.
If that is occurring for the 1st time and breathlessness is troublesome you must get your cardiac check up urgently. Once heart problem is ruled out then only things like gas or acidity may be considered. Do not keep guessing about Gas, it is unsafe to waste time in such complaints.

Hi lybrate-user here are some changes to make to improve your eating habits: - incorporate more fruits, vegetables, and whole grains into your diet while eliminating unhealthy foods. - if you are working or studying away from home, try to pack healthy lunch and snacks for yourself to avoid eating unhealthy food daily. - don't eat straight from the packet - use a plate or bowl to control how much you eat. - don't delay or skip meals. - cut down your consumption of aerated drinks and sodas. - drink at least 8 glasses of water every day. Drink water after waking up and before sleeping. Being dehydrated may make you feel like you're hungry, so it is important to stay hydrated. - have homemade fruit and vegetable juices - eat 5-6 small healthy meals every 2-3 hours, every day, instead of having a few big ones. This regulates your blood sugar level and your metabolism. - don't skip breakfast, instead, make it rich with complex carbohydrates and proteins, so it can provide you with energy to get through the day. Try to include the following as your morning breakfast, oats porridge, eggs on multigrain toast or daliya with sprouts. - avoid artificial sweeteners in processed foods. - eat slowly as it takes about 20 minutes for your brain to register if you're full or not. Eating too fast leads to overeating, so chew slowly to digest your food better and control how much you eat. - use a smaller plate to control your portion sizes and avoid overeating. - know your cravings and do not snack when you're emotional. It is said that you crave crunchy and savory food when you're stressed, frustrated or lonely. Figure out what you crave and replace them with healthier alternatives. - do not eat mindlessly; concentrate on your food instead of watching tv or playing with your phone to avoid overeating.

She is having pain in her legs she is also having the problem of obesity and head ache is there frequently.

BHMS
Homeopath, Faridabad
She is having pain in her legs she is also having the problem of obesity and head ache is there frequently.
Hello, It's good to reduce weight at right time as many problems are directly related to overweight! Pain in legs can be related to obesity, so first reduce weight and see the difference or else revert. Go through the following guidelines and implement them in your routine: Management: 1: Drink plenty of water (at least 2-3 l/d) or other calorie-free beverages. 2: Be choosy about nighttime snacks. 3: Enjoy your favorite foods. 4: Have 6 meals per day - 3 main courses and 3 snack meals (snack meals should be healthy). 5: Do regular exercises daily (start with light and later may be little vigorous). Exercise decreases the stress hormone in your body, burns calories and also increases the blood circulation. Preferably brisk walking, swimming, cycling, skipping. 6: Eat seasonal fruits. Fruit helps to satisfy your sweet tooth thanks to its natural sugars, while fresh vegetables help you fill up more quickly. Fruits and vegetables contain fiber to help you feel full quickly. 7: Eat more whole grains and cut simple carbs. Whole wheat bread, oatmeal, whole wheat pasta, sweet potato, and brown rice are all excellent sources of energy and sources of nutrition. 8: Choose lean proteins instead of fatty ones. 9: Cut the salt from your diet. Eating more sodium causes your body to retain water, which can cause you to feel bloated and gain more weight. 10: Don't skip meals. When you skip meals, your body stops breaking down fat and starts breaking down muscle tissue. Muscle tissue burns more calories at rest than other tissues, so you're actually working against your goals 11: Eat at home. Going out to eat makes it too easy to cheat. Food sold at restaurants is commonly much higher in fat, sodium, and other weight-loss killers. 12: Give yourself a treat now and then. If you're attending a party or going out for a special occasion, allow yourself an indulgence. Just make sure that these indulgences don't become daily habits. 13: Go for a health walk. Gear up yourself daily for a health walk which not only shed off your extra calorie, but also reduces the stress levels. 14: Take small frequent breaks for a quick walk in between as sitting for long hours together encourages the accumulation of fat in the body! Medication: Start taking Schwabe's Phytolacca Berry tablets/ thrice daily 1/2 an hr before the meals for 3 months. Thereafter revert me back for further guidance. All the best! For headache: Some primary headaches can be triggered by lifestyle factors, including: Alcohol, particularly red wine Certain foods, such as processed meats that contain nitrates Changes in sleep or lack of sleep Poor posture Skipped meals Stress Insufficient sleep or rest Overexertion Nutritional deficiencies A secondary headache is a symptom of a disease that can activate the pain-sensitive nerves of the head. Any number of conditions — varying greatly in severity — may cause secondary headaches. Get your blood pressure checked, make a chart. Let me know about the readings, will give you medication accordingly. Also, get eyes tested. Medication: Meantime, can start with homoeopathic medicine - Bakson's Mig-Aid tablet/ after every 2 hours.

I am 36 year old male. I lost my father a month ago and undergoing some kind of depression. I really don't want to call it depression but somehow I am feeling very low at times. Hypnotherapist, DCS, BSIC, Advanced Trainee of Transactional Analysis, Advanced Skills in Counselling
Psychologist,
I am 36 year old male. I lost my father a month ago and undergoing some kind of depression. I really don't want to ca...
You are grieving over your father's death and that is very natural because you were emotionally attached to him and he's been around you all these years. Give yourself time to feel better. Especially if you were attached, dependant on him in some ways to feel better and get along in life. His going away was definite but I don't know whether you were mentally and emotionally prepared for this eventuality. Since he has passed away, now remembering how he contributed to your life and what he stood for in life will help you to remember him and keep him close to your heart. Doing things in the way he expected you to do and adding your own unique touch will help to move the family legacy ahead. Life and death are a part of life. New life springs from the remains of the dead. That's the rule of the nature. Some spiritual and religious sermons and speeches too help people to connect with their loved ones and heal an aching longing to be with them. Some people read religious text, some see their friends, or family guru. You decide what is your way to find a space to talk about your thoughts and feel better. If you are finding it difficult to do all this on your own, then you could see a counsellor who will help you to manage this emotional time. You could get an unbiased space to voice out your concerns, fears, and any regrets from the past and what could be the best way forward now. Emotional upheavals bring stomach upsets with them. Our gut is very much linked to our emotional state. You seem to be anxious and that is causing acidity and gas. See a doctor and get it checked out. Don't miss meals and eat on time. Drink a lot of water to combat acidity. Take care.

Yes you can help, but medicines may or may not be needed. Your wife needs help and needs to be understood. All men/women are different in their sexuality and health. You need to go for check up with sexologist to know the cause and get guidance/treatment for improvement. If you value your sexual health and want to enjoy quality sex in marriage then understanding and learning about sexuality is needed. As we all believe that what we know by hearsay or porn watching is great but in fact what we all know and understand is only penetration and that's not quality sex.
