Have buffalo or cow milk. (Hot/ cold) with milk powder. For weight gain in a healthy way, 1. Have 3 litres water daily. 2. Have frequent meals comprising foods high in nutrient & energy density but low in volume. Ex: fruit & almonds milkshake, cheese potato chicken sandwich, egg curry, rice/ atta maida roti with ghee, til chikki, dry fruits, premix, malt, soybean cutlets, fish fingers, stuffed parathas, banana, dates, mango. 3. Avoid water with or just before meals 4. Have 15 mins light walk before main meals to enhance appetite. Consider getting a thyroid test done to rule out hyperthyroidism.

Cod liver oil tablet twice daily with meals. Whole egg, fatty fish, sunlight exposure between 10-2 pm for 10 mins with min. Clothing.

Hi, My age is 21. I use to work in night shift from the past 2 years. I am getting periods every month. But it's not bleeding much only having two or three drops of bleeding. You might be suffering from gastritis. Have small frequent meals at 2- 3 hrs intervals instead of few large ones. Eat at correct time. Breakfast before 10 am, lunch before 3 pm, dinner before 10 pm & 3 small snacks in between- ex: buttermilk, lassi, coconut water, ghugni, besan chila, dhokla, steamed chicken momo, nuts. Exercise daily for at least 30 mins pref early morning. Drink plenty of water. Avoid spicy, fried, raw foods.

Even these are supplements with lots of preservatives & additives. Consider having milkshake, homemade wheat malt, premix that can be added to milk. Add milk powder too to further increase protein content. Take chenna, sprouts chat, besan chila, dhokla, egg, mango/ banana lassi, dalia moong dal khichdi, atta besan/ wheat-soya roti too.

Early morning exercise gives best results. Apart from that, diet & lifestyle changes are also required to stay fit. Take stairs instead of lift/ escalator & walk instead of taking transport as much as possible. Avoid fried, sugary foods & drinks. Have small frequent meals.

For muscle mass increase, intake of protein needs to be improved in diet. Good dietary protein sources include- dairy products (milk, curd, buttermilk, lassi, channa/paneer), whole egg, fish, chicken, nuts, seeds, soybean/ nutrella. Supplements should be taken only when intake through natural sources is not possible.
