I am suffering with liver cirrhosis which kind of food and fruits I have to take to get healthy?

M.Sc - Dietitics / Nutrition
Dietitian/Nutritionist, Bangalore
Eat a low-sodium diet. Excess salt can cause your body to retain fluids, worsening swelling in your abdomen and legs. Eat a healthy diet - rich in fruit and veggies. Choose lean poultry such as fish avoid fried foods and processed food.

Age 44 years. I am overweight and need to reduce my belly on priority. I have to travel as my job needs travelling and eat outside mostly. Avoid fast foods strictly but drink sometimes. Please advise on how to shed weight.

MD, Bachelor of Ayurveda, Medicine and Surgery (BAMS)

I have specialised medicine prepared for fat loss. It reduces belly as well. It works by converting extra fat to glucose and ensures complete consumption of glucose thereby giving you proper fat loss and natural shape correction. With this medicine, you can lose up to 5 kg per month. If you are interested in this treatment, kindly let me know Detailed mechanism of action This medicine locates extra fat, transports it to liver. This step gives you inches loss or figure correction. In the next step, the fat is converted to glucose, at this step, your apetite is reduced as your requirements of glucose are fulfilled out of extra fat. This way, dieting becomes very easy. In the next step glucose is utilised in cells as this medicine transports glucose and oxygen inside cell wall where with the help of mitochondria, the glucose is converted to Water and carbon dioxide. The water evaporates through sweat or urine and carbon dioxide is expelled through respiration. This is how fat vanishes and we get weight loss and shape correction. Yes, high intake of calcium can cause kidney stones. Replace calcium carbonate by calcium citrate as it is more bioavailable, that is more easily absorbed by the body. Also increase your water intake (5-6 litres).

You may be able to put much weight by consuming more calories, but it'll take time to make significant changes in your appearance. Consume a greater number of calories than you burn to put on the weight. Don't assume you should be a couch potato to burn fewer calories and make weight gain possible, either. Modest amounts of healthy exercise help you develop muscle mass in the long term and stimulate your appetite so you can eat more.Add Extra Calories to Meals. Boost your calorie intake at every homemade meal.Increase Your Protein Intake,Eat Snacks Often,Drink Up to Gain Weight,Light Exercise to Gain Weight

Entering each lung is that pulmonary artery which brings blood from the heart to the lungs to be purified, these.

C.S.C, D.C.H, M.B.B.S
General Physician,
Entering each lung is that pulmonary artery which brings blood from the heart to the lungs to be purified, these.
Pulmonary circulation is the portion of the cardiovascular system which carries deoxygenated blood away from the heart, to the lungs, and returns oxygenated (oxygen-rich) blood back to the heart. The oxygenated blood then leaves the lungs through pulmonary veins, which return it to the left heart, completing the pulmonary cycle. This blood then enters the left atrium, which pumps it through the bicuspid valve, also called the mitral or left atrioventricular valve, into the left ventricle. From the left ventricle the blood passes through the aortic valve to the aorta. The blood is then distributed to the body through the systemic circulation before returning again to the pulmonary circulation.

Hi lybrate-user, you are doing good in controlling portions and there's no harm in frequent eating or eating small portions at short interval of time. The need is to choose healthy options. You can binge on healthy roasted snacks/namkeen/makhana/fruits/salads/any clear soup/fresh seasonal juice/herbal juices/coconut water. 2) another option is to drink water before meals. That will help you in overeating. 3) you can also split your meals like if you are suppose to eat chapaties with veg+dal+curd+slaads. So do not all of these together. You can eat a bowl of salads first, after some time chapati with veg, then a bowl of dal and after half an hr curd. In this way you will never feel hungry and of course no overeating too.

Sir, my dad is 50 year old he is facing with diabetes. He is using medicine for 3 years but he is not feeling better. Can I get any solution for this.

Sir, my dad is 50 year old he is facing with diabetes. He is using medicine for 3 years but he is not feeling better....
Mr. Lybrate-user, if diabetes is well controlled then invariably the person feels fine, all symptoms are in control. Please give me the details like fasting, pp sugar levels, hba1c%, present drugs with dosage, diet pattern and extent of daily exercise that he does. In diabetes apart from taking correct drugs it is very essential to have a restricted diet that provides exact calories based on ideal body weight and regular exercise of at least 1 hour a day is a must. This helps in reducing resistance to insulin and improves its action and gives a feeling of well being. If you have any doubts please come in a private conversation, where I will be able to guide better.

Good Sources of Vegetable Protein.

BHMS
Homeopath,
Good Sources of Vegetable Protein.
1.) all legumes and beans: legumes (peanuts, soy products), beans (chowli, bengal gram, etc.) are good sources of protein. Soy milk is an excellent source of protein so is tofu which is fermented soybean. Avoid consuming protein powders as they are too concentrated and do not assimilate and digest easily.

2.) grains: all grains especially amaranth (rajgeera) and quinoa are higher in protein content than others.

3.) all green and yellow vegetables help the synthesis of protein in the liver, which is very important especially for weight loss.

4.) good quality fermented foods: these are easily digested as they have been broken down already by good bacteria, and are also rich in protein.

5.) nuts and seeds are concentrated forms of both proteins and fats. These include flax, pumpkin, sunflower, walnuts and almonds.

6.) spirulina (easily available online in india) is rich in trace minerals, chlorophyll, and is the highest source of concentrated protein.

You seem to be going through a lot and it looks like post traumatic stress disorder. You can benefit from counselling where you will be able to deal with the stresses of the past problems that might be still affecting you. Additionally please start exercises like yoga, meditation and tai chi to help you get back balance in life. Eat healthy food and reduce any junk food. A visit to a psychiatrist can help you if there is any underlying psychiatric issue. Please consult if you have any questions.

I have a bad immunity, I got pimples on my face. And I can't make myself healthy.

BHMS

I have a bad immunity, I got pimples on my face. And I can't make myself healthy.
Hi. There are four main factors which causes acne: Oil production Dead skin cells Clogged pores Bacteria Factors that may worsen the acne: Androgen hormones, certain medications (drugs containing corticosteroids, androgens or lithium tcan worsen acne), dietary factors, including dairy products and carbohydrate-rich foods — such as bread, bagels and chips — may trigger acne and Stress can make acne worse. Management: Wash your face with Bakson's Facewash (wash your face with warm water only) and followed by CTMP, i.e., cleansing, toning, moisturising and protection (apply liberally Sunscreen Gel with SPF-30) after washing your face daily. Prevention: -Take healthy food only and avoid unhealthy ones (although sebaceous glands are not excretory glands then as well!) as what you eat is reflected on your face! -Avoid taking unnecessary stress/ tension as it encourages secretion of stress hormone in the body as thus affects skin or any other tissue of the body. -Drink atleast 8-10 glasses of water in a day. -Take 6-8hrs. of sound sleep everyday. -Don't use others towels, handkerchief on your face as well as never share yours. -Never ever rub your face as it damages the skin (even towel should be dab on skin softly) and break outs of acne get worsened! -Maintain hygiene, wash your face 2-3times in a day, changes the pillow covers, bed sheet daily, use cotton bed sheet only (try to sleep on your back). Home-made remedies: - Take 1 tbsp of fuller's earth (multani mitti) + a dash of lime + bit of rosewater – apply this on your face till it gets dried up, then rinse it off. - Take 1 tsp of Alum (or fitkari), make it slightly wet with water and apply this on your wet face, spread it well; let it dry and rinse it off. Alum remove your excessive moisture or oil and it also tightens the skin's tonicity. Medication: You can take homoeopathic medicines – Berberis Aquefolium Q/ 10 drops in 1/2 cup of water/ thrice a day (and for local application as well) and Kali Brom. 200/ thrice a day – for 30 days.
