It is nice that you strongly wish to breastfeed him. For first 7 days or so the milk produced is known as colostrum which is yellow coloured ,small in quantity &high in antibody content. But it is sufficient to meet the needs of baby. Pl give powdered milk as per directions written on the can if at all it has to be given. Pl give cup or katori ¬ bottle. GOVT OF INDIA guidelines recommend exclusive breastfeeding for first 6 months of life. The best stimulus for milk production is frequent sucking day &night. Have balanced diet & be confident. Have loving thoughts for your baby. Keep him in direct skin to skin contact. Regards&best wishes.

You can do exercise like push ups,sit ups,lying butt bridge,skipping,swimming along with healthy food.Avoid sugar,sweetened juice,fast foods,junk foods,processed foods.Eat lots of whole fruits,vegetables.Drink lots of water.

Hi, I would like to know how likely is to get pregnant when one has had unsafe sex during one's period and the male has not had the orgasm inside but outside the vagina. My period started on the 1st of August and I had sex on the 8th and 9th of August and also there was a slight brown discharge happening on those days too! please help me with the stress and tell me how likely it is for me to get pregnant!

The chances are 50 %.but I do not think there is any reason to get stressed. You can wait for the periods to come. If they get missed then do a urine pregnancy test. Even if the test is positive you can get it aborted by taking tablets only. At present you can do nothing so do not take stress. Stress itself can postpone your periods.

Dear Lybrate user. I can understand. Size of penis never matters in a sexual intercourse. Love and passion matters and determines the sexual pleasure. Average size of erect penis is 5 inches. But even a two inch erect penis can satisfy any woman across the world just because, woman sexual nerve endings which is the reason for pleasure for women, are available only up to two inches from the opening of vagina. Hi . Masturbation is considered a safe sex practice, but if it becomes a compulsory act then it is a problem. Within a limit it is not harmful. It can get you diverted from your goal. If you seriously feel that you are unable to control this habit, then it is time to change. I suggest you to follow a healthy lifestyle:- 1. Get up from bed before sunrise, 2. Go for a walk/jog, do meditation/yoga/ relaxation exercise for some time, 3. Have balanced healthy diet, 4. Have some time for recreation and socialization, 5. Listen to soothing music at evening and 6. Get enough rest and sleep. You should actively engage in other pleasurable activities like games and sport, watching favourite tv serial, listening to your favourite music whenever you feel urge to masturbate. You may sacrifice your privacy for some time to avoid have check on this habits. Even after following the above mentioned measures for few weeks if you do not get desired results, then you need to be prescribed some psychotropic medicines and/or psychotherapy to control your urge.

It is normal to have a vigorous appetite, provided you do not partake of heavy foods like meat, alcohol, tobacco, egs or drugs. You should strictly follow a pure vegetarian diet and fruits with cow's milk at night about two hours after dinner twice a week.

FOR TEETH PAIN: We need more investigations with clinical examination to decide upon treatment. You may need cleaning, root canal treatment & capping. Until then apply clove oil on the decayed tooth. Rinse frequently with mouth wash. FOR BLEEDING GUMS: We need more investigations with clinical examination to decide upon treatment. You may need deep cleaning along with surgical curettage or gum strengthening procedure. Rinse your mouth thoroughly with a mouth wash after every meals. Use pepsodent tooth paste & gum paint for 2 to 3 weeks. FOR BAD SMELL: Dry mouth also can cause bad breath. - do not scratch or squeeze the lesions - do not apply creams or oils on face - do not apply hair oils or wash oil within 1 hour of application - take plenty of fluids - wash your face 2-3 times daily especially when it's oily - certain foods can increase acne such as chocolates, oily food etc, avoid these if they increase acne - take plenty of fluids and fruits - dandruff can also increase acne, so use anti-dandruff shampoo if you have acne. - also, for the marks, try to avoid sunexposure as far as possible (use broadspectrum gel based sunscreen, cover the face while outside during sunlight hours)

Low cholesterol linked to anxiety, depression, suicide, hemorrhagic stroke and cancers

People with very low cholesterol levels are at increased risk of developing stomach cancer, according to a study published in the International Journal of Cancer.

The study involved 2,600 residents of Hisayama, Japan, who were followed for 14 years. Gastric cancers developed in 97 subjects. After accounting for age and gender, stomach cancer rates rose significantly with descending cholesterol level. For example, among subjects with the highest cholesterol levels, the gastric cancer rate was the equivalent of 2.1 cases per 1000 persons per year; among those with the lowest cholesterol, the rate was 3.9 per 1000 persons per year.

Patients with low serum cholesterol should consider periodic gastrointestinal examination for the prevention of stomach cancer.

Low cholesterol has been earlier linked to depression, anxiety and suicide in both men and women. Another earlier report has also shown that people with cholesterol level below 180 had twice the risk of brain hemorrhage as compared to those with cholesterol levels of 230.

1.Take 11 guava leaves, 11 black pepper, 1 cup milk and one cup water. Put all of them in pot and boil it well, when it reduced to one cup, drink in empty stomach. Take this daily for at least six months or a year. 2.Boil cumin seeds in water and inhale the steam. It helps dilate the bronchial passage. 3.Take 5 gm of ginger, black pepper, cardamom, clove, cinnamon, turmeric and 30 gm of sugar. Grind the mix to a powder. Take half to one teaspoonful and mix it nicely with honey. Take it twice a day 4.Pulses like old rice (rice which is stored for at least one year is called old), wheat, barley, kulattha, mung beans, arhar beans, etc . should be consumed. 5.Honey, warm drinks like herbal teas, spice teas are also okay. 6.Sprouts, nuts and seeds can be taken in moderate amount. 7.The heavy foods and those which make ama should be avoided. This mainly includes milk products like cheese, curd, butter milk, creams, and banana, etc. 8.Oily, greasy and fried foods which are difficult to digest should be avoided. 9.White flour and white sugar products should be avoided. 10.In addition, try to avoid the cold foods, cold drinks and other refrigerated things. 11.Avoid excessive or physically demanding exercise. Yoga and Pranayama can be helpful.
