If your father is symptomatic regarding the GB stone, He should undergo GB removal surgery. If not symptomatic, He can wait for the present. He can take low fat diet.

My husband is 36. He very frequently has mouth and tongue blisters which are very bad and don't go before 3-5 days. They are always back within a few months. This happens since his childhood. He was also a chain smoker for over a decade but has quit smoking now. Is smoking a cause for these blisters? How to know if these blisters are normal or symptoms of any dangers like herpes or oral cancer?

MBBS, M.S. General Surgery
Podiatrist, Kochi
It is good that your husband has quit smoking. Smoking can occasionally cause oral blisters. However it would not be oral herpes or cancer. Poor oral hygiene and vitamin deficiency are other common causes of oral blisters. He can brush his teeth twice a day, and use Listerine for mouth wash and gargling at least once a day. He can also take Cap Becosules-z one after breakfast for few months.

Good afternoon Sir/Mam,
I have Problem in my feet (swelling with redness).
Kindly help me for treatment.
Thanking you.
If there is swelling and redness of your feet, and with some pain, it could be cellulitis, that is infection of the soft tissues. Please give rest to the foot, limit your walking, please keep the foot elevated as much as is possible to reduce the swelling. Please consult a general surgeon, who can examine you and advise the required antibiotics.

This must be a sebaceous cyst or a small lipoma. Unless it gets infected or causes any discomfort, please do not bother about it.

Since you already have undergone varicose veins surgery of both legs, still having swelling and discomfort. The method of preventing the swelling and discomfort is to wear compression stockings both legs toes to mid thigh. This should be worn in the morning, and throughout the day and removed at night. This will help you.

You may take lemon in your diet. This will in no way interfere with the uretric stent. If you take at least 2 liters of fluids with the lemon it will be useful in washing out any small stones.

I have pain in my back regular and stone in gallbladder please advice me proper solution.
Is the Gall bladder stones symptomatic. If so you have to undergo surgery to remove the GB. If the back pain is due to spinal problem and not due to GB stone, please consult an Orthopedic surgeon who would advise on the management.
