Grind the mix to a powder. Take half to one teaspoonful and mix it nicely with honey. Take it twice a day 4. I am suffering from last one year. I have dust infraction and some problem in air up and down problem. I have regular use medicine homeopathic but my Problem in cold is very impact.

BHMS
Homeopath,
Dear Lybrate User, Dust allergy occurs due to the production of histamine in blood. This production of histamine is provoked by the entry of certain foreign substance in our respiratory system through the air we inhale. A detailed case taking along with some blood test results are required to diagnose the proper underlying cause behind dust allergy. Please conduct a laboratory test of your blood for TC, DC, ESR & IgE. Revert back with the results & consult me privately via Lybrate. In the mean-time you can take the following medications:- 1) 5 drops of Homoeopathic PYROGEN 1000, thrice daily in empty stomach. 2) 30 drops of Homoeopathic Mother Tincture CASSIA SOPH Q, thrice daily, after meals, in a glass of water.

Management of Bronchial Asthma

Management of Bronchial Asthma
I’m Dr. M. C. Gupta, practicing at Jeevan Jyoti Hospital, Faridabad for the last forty years in pulmonary medicine. Today, I will talk regarding bronchial Asthma. Asthma is prevalent in about 5-10 percent population. Symptoms of asthma are cough, breathlessness, chest, tightness and wheeze. It can occur at any age from an infant to old person. On examination, one may find bronchitis on chest.

Prevention of asthma is by avoiding pollution, dust, smoke, stress and sudden change of temperature.

The treatment of asthma is, if it is mild and infrequent then, only SABAs that is Short-Acting Beta-Agonists can be taken off and on as and when required. If someone is having persistent asthma then along with inhaled corticosteroids one need LABAs that is Long-Acting Beta-Agonist which is to be continued till the symptoms are controlled. After the symptoms are controlled, one can be put on controller medicine that is inhaled corticosteroids and which should be taken in the minimum possible dose to prevent any side effects of the inhaled steroids. The side effects of inhaled steroids are very less as compared to oral steroids. The treatment may continue lifelong or the patient may go into reminiscence.

If you want to consult me regarding asthma, you can consult me via Lybrate.

5 Effective Ways To Strengthen Immune System With Homeopathy

BHMS, PG
Homeopath, Navi Mumbai
5 Effective Ways To Strengthen Immune System With Homeopathy

The human body is a marvellous creation and functions in a highly synchronised and balanced way. Disease results when this balance is disturbed either due to infections, inflammations, trauma, autoimmune diseases, tumours. Whatever the reason, with any of these, the body has a strong immune system, which reacts to these changes and tries to ensure that balance is restored as quickly as possible and with minimal effect on overall bodily function.

While most of us have a natural tendency to do so, some have it weaker. This makes them more prone to infections and they take more time to repair and restore health. However, there are a number of supplements which can help to strengthen the immunity. These can be used with the consultation of a professional, and this can help improve overall health.

Homeopathy obviously fits into the class of therapeutic methods that augment the body's own defenses. A microdose of a substance heals the symptoms in large dose. Homeopathic medicines are both considerably smaller and safer in dose and more individualized to the person they are being used to treat.

Although homeopathic medicines are thought to stimulate the body's own defenses, how they do so remains a mystery. Homeopathic medicine do not simply stimulate the body's immune system to treat ill people, for they can also calm it when this is necessary for the healing of the individual.

People with auto-immune ailments suffer because their body's immune system is over-active and it attacks the person's own cells, not just bacteria, viruses, or foreign substances. Homeopathy believes that “like cures like.” So in treating a disease, what it does is use small amounts of the substance that is known to induce the disease. This way, similar symptoms are induced and the disease is treated. Some of the most common homeopathic medicines are-

  1. Allium Cepa: With winter setting in, more and more people are prone to developing a runny nose, nasal congestion, and teary eyes. So, with winter still around the corner, using allium cepa (small onion) helps build immunity by easing these symptoms. Keeping 3 to 5 pellets of this compound under the tongue can help control nasal congestion.

  2. Oscillococcinum: Popularly known as Oscillo, this contains very small amounts of duck liver and heart. When used on the first couple of days with the onset of flu-like symptoms, this helps the body aches and fatigue disappear. It is proven to be safe, effective, and helps prevent further attacks of similar symptoms.

  3. Gelsemium: Obtained from the vine Gelsemium sempervirens, this is useful to build immunity towards cold and flu symptoms. Keeping it under the tongue also helps relieve symptoms if they are already present and controls further attacks of flu-like symptoms.

  4. Silica: This is responsible for stimulating the production of macrophages. These are a type of cells, which are essential for eating up bacteria and foreign bodies. It, therefore, helps improve immunity and fight infections.

  5. Arsenicum Album (white arsenic): This is used in a variety of conditions ranging from anxiety to poisoning to digestive disorders.

While some people refer to most homeopathic medicines as immune stimulating, they are in fact immunomodulatory. Whether a person has an autoimmune disease or repeated infections, homeopathy can be used. A detailed discussion with a specialized homeopath would be the first step to identify what is the right compound to use.

I have allergic asthma and productive cough problem, how can I use rose petals or oil?
Apply one to two drops to face, neck, and décolletage. Apply one drop directly to skin imperfections twice daily. Diffuse in the morning to promote energy and vitality. Rose oils benefits the limbic system when used aromatically. It is an effective antiseptic. You probably won't find a sweeter smelling antiseptic than rose essential oil. Relieves anxiety and stress. It has anti-viral properties. It is a laxative too. It can reduce menopausal symptoms. It acts as an anti-inflammatory. It can be used to clear up acne. It can be used to treat depression.

I have asthma and because of this I can not breathe properly so please suggest me ways so that I can prevent it.

MB, BS. M.D
General Physician, Hyderabad
Asthma is preventable disease. You have to take pains to prevent it. First you findout what are you allergic to? once you know the precipitating causes better you avoid it. Do regularly pranayama (breathing exercises) every day so that you can increase your lung capacity. Do water therapy ie. Taking one liter of water on empty stomach, wait for 1 hr before you have breakfast. If it still persisting, try good inhaler mornig & evening. No relief better you see a doctor to avoid acute attack.

Am breastfeeding mom to 2.6 years son. Sever back ache. L4 l5 upper stomach very heavy n lower abdominal dragged down...
I suggest you follow the below for your condition: Take Mag Phos 6x - thrice daily for next 2 weeks and update. Also do x-ray of the affected area. Heat and Ice Packs. Heat and/or cold therapy helps relieve most types of low back pain by reducing inflammation. Often patients use ice, but some prefer heat. Both may be used alternately. For abdominal discomfort take Nux vom 30 - 4 pills twice daily for next 7 days. Give me a feedback thereafter.
