You have to make a lot of lifestyle changes. Correct your diet. Consume plenty of pulses, legumes, sprouts, grams, soya and nuts. If you r nonvegetarian, have meat, fish, milk and milk products in plenty. Drink lots of water. Avoid stressing over your hair fall since dopamine released can decrease hair further. Stay away from chemicals like hair dyes, bleaches. Avoid straighteners and hot combs. Overwashing and overshampooing can make your hair fall. Wash your hair twice a week and shampoo on the same day. Use mild shampoos. Massage scalp thoroughly to increase blood circulation. Towel dry hair, do not use blow dryers. Make sure not to sleep with wet damp hair. Comb hair regularly before going out. Protect your hair from sun by keeping it covered with a cap or scarf. Stay away from alcohol and caffeinated drinks like coffee and cola since they produce antioxidants which damage free radicals. Exercise regularly for it promotes blood flow and enhances healthy, shiny hair growth. Yoga and meditation help destress.

Hello, Gaining weight is a slow process which requires patience and dedication! It not only depends upon the amount of food you consume daily, but also about eating Sensibly, depends upon your genes, your body's proper metabolism, assimilation and absorption, the levels of stress/ tension in your life, and any underlying medical condition you have! The food what and how you eat, makes the difference! For increasing your weight, concentrate on the below points (if you don’t have any medical condition) which helps in gaining weight in a right way without harming your body. - Consume more healthy fats. Foods containing healthy fats are full of nutrients and also high in calories, making them a great option for weight gain. Foods containing plant fats should be your first option - this includes items such as nuts, seeds, peanut butter, avocados and olive oil. Foods containing healthy animals fats include lean meats and full fat dairy products - although if you have high cholesterol, you should probably stick to low-fat options. -Eat more protein. Good sources of protein include lean meat, fish and poultry, in addition to eggs, whole grains, dairy products and legumes. -Drink more calories. Try drinking a large glass of orange juice in the mornings (along with your normal breakfast). Drink a glass or two of full-cream milk throughout the day. -Have 6 small and frequent meals in a day. -Gain muscle mass. It's a good idea to continue to exercise while you attempt to gain weight the healthy way. Strength training includes working with weights and performing exercises such as squats, deadlifts, bench presses, bicep curls, crunches, chin-ups and leg curls. Just keep in mind that the more you exercise, the more calories you will need to consume to replace those you lost while working out. -Quit smoking. As it suppresses the appetite. -Stay healthy. The most important thing through the entire weight gain process is to stay healthy - eating a balanced diet and continuing to exercise throughout. -Take enough of rest and sleep for rejuvenation of the cells and tissues. -Think Positive which will help you in achieving your target of gaining weight. -Avoid taking unnecessary stress/ tension. Medication: Take Schwabe’s Alfaalfa Tonic and Five Phos. Both thrice daily ½ an hour before meals for 3months. Revert. For increasing height: As height can be gained till 21yrs. Of age in males and 18yrs. In females, so you do have 3yrs. More to grow further! Start taking homoeopathic medicines which are safe to take without any side-effects - Bakson's Hite-Aid and Five Phos. - both thrice daily and Thuja 1M/ one dose once a week - take them for 4 months. Management: Take milk and milk products which contains more calcium. More of protein (for cell multiplication) like pulses, legumes, sprouts, nuts, flaxseeds, non-veg, eggs, etc. Also, don't forget to take green vegetables, yellow veggies and fruits, seasonal fruits, salads, etc. Do skip rope daily, initially 10-20 times later gradually and slowly increase the frequency as per your capacity. Do get indulge in stretch exercises, and sports like basketball, volleyball. Last but not least, do take enough of rest and sleep (which helps in repairing of cells and cell rejuvenation). Hi, This is regards to medical condition of my mom, she is 55 year old, she is suffering from this prob. You should take a balanced diet with right ratio of calories, protein & carb. This diet will help you a healthy gain 2-3 kg in month. You should take a healthy meal in every 3 hours. Don't drink water or any liquid before or while eating. Foods-dairy products, soya, sprouts, egg, potato, banana, rice etc.

Mr. lybrate-user, Thanks for the query. For hypothyroidism there is only one medication and that is adequate dose of Levothyroxine to be taken daily early morning on empty stomach. If TSH is maintained between 3 to 4 mU/L then most of the symptoms of hypothyroidism are in check. As regards migrane it is a difficult condition to treat. Multiple remedies have to be tried, plus precaution should be taken to avoid known triggers. Thanks.

Ayurvedic View Ayurveda, which takes a comprehensive view of an individual's physical, emotional and spiritual conditions, attributes anxiety disorder symptoms to aggravated prana vata, a subsidiary of vata dosha which is associated with worry, anxiety and depression. Prana vata weakens the nervous system and triggers mental imbalance. It also weakens the neuro-hormonal system and nerve impulses. Ayurvedic treatment of anxiety disorder would involve curbing aggravated prana vata and increasing sattva guna, which envisages a stable and peaceful mind through self-realization and self-control, and appropriate changes in diet and lifestyle. Diet & Lifestyle Advice Fresh fruits, fruit juices, vegetables (raw or cooked or boiled), vegetable juices, sprouts, nuts, dry fruits, honey, milk, ghee, fresh butter, and buttermilk are the best to increase sattva and enrich the mind. Try to cut down, or if possible stop, the use of black tea, coffee, white flour products, chocolates, white sugar products, deep fried foods, hot spices, meat, fish, and eggs. Such restrictions benefit in anxiety disorders. Breathing exercises: Mind has a very close relation with breathing. A person has short and shallow breathing when anxious or stressed and has deep breathing when relaxed and happy. Next time you become stressed, watch your breathing. Try to slow it down. Take a relaxed position and breathe deep using the abdomen muscles. Let the diaphragm expand while breathing in, and contract while breathing out. This will immediately relax you and reduce anxiety attacks. Exercise, meditation, relaxation techniques and Yoga postures are also recommended. Home Remedies Take grated fresh coconut 10g, paste of 2-3 almonds (soaked for 6 to 7 hours and peeled), powdered fennel seeds 5g, black pepper powder 2g, and powdered rock candy or raw sugar 20g. Mix all the ingredients and drink with saffron milk. To prepare saffron milk, soak 5 to 6 threads of saffron in one teaspoon of milk for 5 to 6 hours. Chew well and eat. Have 1 teaspoonful of licorice root powder with water empty stomach in the morning. This is mentioned as a medhya rasayana in Ayurveda i.e. A mind rejuvenator. Add some fresh rose petals in a cup of boiling water. Keep it aside till it is lukewarm. Add ½ teaspoonful of sugar to it and have this twice a day. This is a good drink to uplift mood. I have keloid development on my shoulder and lower back which are about a size of a badam seed and increasing slowly in size. How can I get rid of it or prevent it from growing larger?

Keloids tend to reduce on size on application of pressure. Please massage the keloids applying firm pressure such that you have mild discomfort daily twice. Coconut oil can be used to facilitate massage. Apart from this, you may need some injections into them by Dermatologist.

As you said stone is not in kidney and in the ureter, then it may causes severe pain and retention of urine and can cause kidney damage. If you feel very severe pain then follow the best tips I suggest you: 1. First take a lot of fluid daily. The more you drink water and fluid, the less amount of deposit accumulate in kidney. So you have to make your kidneys healthy just only by drinking 2-3 liters (10-12 glasses) of water. 2. Stones are mainly formed of calcium and oxalate. So take very low quantity of milk, cheese, cream and dairy products. 3. Do not take strawberry, plum, spinach and tomatoes. These fruits and vegetables are rich in oxalate. So avoid them to prevent from kidney stones. 3. Stop taking supplementary vitamin d and calcium medication. 4. Avoid animal protein diet- eggs, red meat, fish in diet. 5. Take less amount of salt, pickle and western foods. They have high amount of sodium. So avoid it. 6. Urinary infection are also one of the cause of stone. So take proper antibiotic treatment of urinary infection on time. Even when you feelburning sensation or pain during urination, don't avoid it. Take medication as soon as possible. I hope you follow them in your life andstay healthy. 7. You can take gokshur tablets of himalaya for 3 months. It definitely get relief from kidney stones. 8. You can also take neeri syrup 1-2 table spoon with a glass of water at least for 1 month.

Hello Jack, Stress, tension, anxiety, thyroid problems, hormonal imbalances etc are the most common reasons for insomnia. If you are having back and neck problems while sleeping, even that can cause discomfort leading to inability to sleep. You can try changing your mattress or pillow. Try using a hard mattress as it is helpful if you have spondylosis of any sort. Besides, you can take Tablet Atarax 10 mg, one tablet at bed time. This is a very mild sedative and will help you sleep better.

Hello lybrate-user seborrheic dermatitis can be treated with homeopathic medicine but before that we need to take a proper case history to find out the extent and intensity of your disease. Also as it is chronic it will take time to get controlled. Seborrheic dermatitis usually gets worse in summer due to oiliness and sweat but yours is worse in winter so will need to check if it is correctly diagnosed or not. Hi, My advice for Back Pain, Home Advice -Take rest for Maximum Time -Avoid Long sitting, standing, walking -If you need to stand, do not transfer you r body weight equally to both limbs -Use some height at kitchen & wash basin area to keep leg over that -Start Back strengthening exercises -Do not sleep on soft bed, Try to sleep on floor -Use MCR/MCP slippers Precautions -Maintain good posture/avoid Bad posture -Avoid Long Standing, Walking and Sitting with stiff knee -Use LS belt if necessary (Do not use for long time) -If you are working long hours you must be realx by frequent breaks. -Maintain ideal body weight -Have a Balanced diet food -Must have a good Night’s Sleep It can help to relieve Pain -Apply Ointment -After 10mins Thermotherapy/Cold therapy if need For Neck Pain: Home Advice -Full range of motion exercises at least twice/day (Neck & Shoulder) -Strong isometric exercises at least Twice/day (Pain free) -Strengthening Exercise for Shoulder/Shoulder griddle muscles -PNF exercises -Scapular movements/ Shoulder griddle movements -Stretching exercises at least twice/day Precautions -Maintain good posture/avoid Bad posture -Avoid jerky movements -Avoid keeping you r neck straight and stiff -Use soft collar/cervical pillow -If you are working long hours you must relax the muscles of you r neck and shoulders by taking frequent breaks.
