Hello. I'm 23 years old and my weight is about 77 kg. I have knee knock problems since last 2 t0 3 year in both legs. How can I overcome this naturally by diet and exercise.

I'm 23 years old and my weight is about 77 kg. I have knee knock problems since last 2 t0 3 year in both legs....
1. Avoid all snacks and commercial products with sugar in them - biscuits, cakes, bournvita, horlicks, coke, pepsi, energy drinks, sweetened yogurt etc. 2. Cut down on your daily intake of tea/coffee and maintain it at 3-4 cups a day. 3. Try to add little sugar to any beverage (coffee, tea, milk, lemon water etc.) that you have and ideally you should refrain from adding any sugar altogether. 4. If you have a sitting job then ensure that you do not sit for more than 30 minutes at one stretch. Get up and move a little after every 30 minutes. 5. Try to work out for 20 minutes each day. You do not necessarily have to go to the gym. You can incorporate some pretty powerful exercises in your daily routine like - squats, skipping, surya namaskar and core exercises. 6. Do not eat for 3 hours before you go to sleep. Eating before going to bed is one of the main cause of rapid weight gain. 7. Drink 8-10 glasses of water everyday but remember that tea/coffee are not substitutes for pure water.

Advice…. Hot Fomentation x twice daily. Avoid bending in front. Postural Correction. Sit Tall, Walk Tall. Extension Exercises x 15 times x twice daily Bhujang Asana x 15 timesx twice daily Core Strengthening Exercises. Back Stretching.

Hi thanks for your query and welcome to lybrate. I am Dr. Akshay from fortis hospital, new delhi. You have mentioned backache as one problem and also mentioned the mri finding. Since you are very young, if you have only localized backache with no other associated symptoms like radiating leg pain, numbness, paresthesias etc, my advice to you for initial 2-3 weeks will be: - to maintain proper posture while working and sleeping - if pain is more then you can take a short course of an anti-inflammatory medication which suits you - physical therapy initially under supervision of a trained physiotherapist and then to continue at home - adequate calcium & vitamin d intake if levels are low in body - ice packs can applied if your pain is acute, then hot fomentation can be done at home - analgesic spray for local application can be used and is easily available. - avoid lifting heavyweight/ acute forward bending in mornings etc in case you are having back pain. If you do not feel better with these measures in 2-3 weeks time, we will need to evaluate you further. Do not hesitate to contact me if you need any further assistance. Thanks & regards

Dear you can follow these methods for relief from Backache(back pain): * First correct your sitting posture. A gentle massage will help your shoulder muscles release stress and tension. In addition, it will improve blood circulation and reduce swelling and stiffness. Get the massage done by someone who can do a good massage to your shoulder. For massaging, you can use olive, coconut, sesame or mustard oil. 1. Warm the oil slightly and apply it on the shoulder. 2. Gently squeeze the shoulder muscles and apply pressure as well to relieve pain and encourage blood flow. 3. Massage for about 10 minutes, then put a warm towel on the affected area for best results. 4. Do massage therapy a few times daily until the pain subsides.

You need to get a standing x-ray of both knees ap and lateral view to assess any joint angle variation first. Followed by which you need to be assessed for joint cartilage damage by Mri scan. If there is damage it can be corrected arthroscopically so that arthritis does not set in at early age and you can delay or avoid knee replacement.

leg swelling caused by the retention of fluid in leg tissues is known as peripheral edema. It can be caused by a problem with the circulatory system, the lymphatic system or the kidneys. swelling may be due to low calorie diet tends to draw lesser amount of water from the tissue because of meager presence of protein, which leads to water retention. and high salt intake also cause for swelling. first take balance diet and reduce salt intake. do exercise and yoga regularly. if still problem remain then visit to doctor and take proper treatment.

I am doing exercise ealy morning going running about 20min. My legs are still paining in between muscles and ankle. When I sit on ground for about 10 min or more I get hard to stand up there no pain but feels have no energy to stand up. Let me what to do.

Its protein deficiency which causes muscle fatigue. Whenever we start exercising our body's protein need also increases. Intially start with walking for 15 min then 20.25. 30. And so on gradually. Then slowly introduce running. And improve your diet with protein rich food. All the best.
