Sometimes I feel alone in the crowd and forget how to react, maybe it is psychological problem but can anyone give me advise how to get over it...?

Reparenting Technique, BA, BEd
Psychologist, Bangalore
Sometimes I feel alone in the crowd and forget how to react, maybe it is psychological problem but can anyone give me advise how to get over it? Feeling alone in the midst of company is a problem of social development. Do you love your own company? Lonely people, first of all, do not love themselves, which can be difficult to love others normally or to get others to love them back. Large crowds can be intimidating, and that is understandable. Facing them to give a speech or having to deal with an unruly mob can be even more frightful. This problem that you ?forget? how to react means that this fear is causing you quite a bit of disturbance. This usually has to do with your self-esteem or how you feel the others rate you. It is indicative that your own assessment of yourself is poor or is comparatively inadequate. Feeling inadequate is just that: it is a feeling, it is not necessarily true. Do some personality development work with a counselor, or attend these classes to shape your persona and improve your image and esteem. This will go a long way to get out of this quandary you find yourself in. And do not live by the opinion of others too much, unless there is a genuine concern about yourself. This way you may lose your identity. I will not be surprised, if that is an issue too.

I do not memories answer for long time so give me advice what to do?

Reparenting Technique, BA, BEd
Psychologist,
Yes, this may be true because of your age. I suspect that you are going through a spurt in the production of the male sex hormone, which affects you in three ways quite unknown to you. First, there will be a sexual agenda that it will kick off, secondly, there will be aggressiveness and rebelliousness, and thirdly, you will suffer from acne and pimple problems. This is the effect of the hormone that has a duration of almost two years and you will have no control over it. But if you have a good value system you will tide over this phase without significant damage. The hormonal imbalances may not only impact your memory because of the chemical but also bring along some distractions that come with it. But you may work on the following even if the hormones kick in: Daily exercise of at least half an hour is a must. Even if you go to a gym, ask for aerobic and/or callisthenic exercises with whatever else you are doing. A healthy body harbors a healthy mind. With regard to memory, it is very important that your brain and body is ideally rested to be able to recall whatever is required, rather comfortably. Puzzles pose problems to the brain that help it to use new pathways and neurons, which give the brain considerable exercise. It taxes the left brain to use logic to solve the myriad possibilities which other activities do not stimulate. Crosswords are excellent for vocabulary learning and use. Jigsaws and Rubik cube stimulate different permutations to finally settle on the most likely one. Picture completion and anagrams help approach problem solving from several angles. Do Sudoku, and memory co-relation activities and skills. Have a good night?s sleep, have a good breakfast of more proteins, meditate often, remain free of stress, eat a lot of fiber (whole grains, fruits and vegetables), nuts, avocado, eat dark chocolate, consume less of fat and use olive oil instead, do Yoga meditation exercises, etc. You need to check out if you are stronger visual or auditory. The visual is a better mode than the auditory. However, if you combine the two modes, you will get the best concentration. Have a special place of learning, which should be well lit, with soft painted walls, well-ventilated, with no distractions. When you get bored, study by writing. If you repeat learning at least five to seven times, you will apparently remember for a longer time. Sit comfortably but do not slouch. The reading material should be of a fairly large print. Study at small intervals of about 40 minutes and then take a break or change the subject. Short-term memory is a faculty of the left brain, and long-term memory is a feature of the right brain. When people are stressed, they tend to favor the right brain and abandon the left brain, where short-term memory resides. So, it is really very simple: deal with the stress and activate left brain functions. Here are a few suggestions to activate left brain function: shut your left nostril and breathe, move your eyes from right to left and vice versa for at least half a minute at a time, and do callisthenic exercises with some form of counting, regularly. There are some memory enhancing techniques and study methods that your teacher will be able to guide you with. If your home life is full of distractions and stress, it is likely to affect your memory, adversely. In that case, I suggest that you and the family go for counseling too.

My question is why I can't concentrate on my study? Whenever I sat for study, my mind get distracted in internet, watching porn etc. So please tell me some solution of my big problem.

Your problem is psychological so treatment is also psychological counselling and management set your aims, goals, objectives and targets. Fix your priorities. Make firm determination and stick to your determination you have to make great efforts in the beginning to overcome your mental inertia there are 2 types of pleasures: 1. Immediate & short lasting 2. Remote but longer lasting animals go for immediate gratification humans go for remote gratification and sacrifice immediate gratification of pleasure consuming for remote carrier making gratification. You have to fix up your priorities and look into future leaving your immediate gratification of pleasures that you feel from internet, porn watching, phone talking and many more.

Alcoholism is alcohol addiction. If you re ready to stop drinking and willing to get the support you need, you can recover from alcoholism and alcohol abuse?no matter how bad the addiction or how powerless you feel. The first step in treating alcoholism is accepting that you have a problem. Confronting an addiction and accepting responsibility for your actions isn? t easy. But its a necessary step on the road to treatment and recovery. You should then consult a psychiatrist / psychologist who fill follow this treatment. 1. Detoxification using medicines. 2. Behavior modification with the help of therapies. 3. Counseling. 4. Medication to sustain and 5. Long term support. These given steps are essential for any addict to get effectively rid of alcoholism. Therefore, you need to stick to the treatment plan and cooperate with your psychiatrist / psychologist. Take care.

I have memory loss problems with whole life at least when I attend my school life. So solve my memory loss problems.

Dear lybrate-user, welcome to lybrate. Memory and mind power depends mainly on three aspects. Understanding, storage and recollection. To understand what you are studying, you must be able to be attentive or concentrate. Concentration is possible when you are interested in that subject. Creative way of learning can help you concentrate and understand easily. When you are able to understand and concentrate, it is stored within your brain. If you read more and more it will be store in long term memory. Third part is retrieval. Whenever you want to retrive what you learned and stored, your brain gets the request, searches the database and retrieves the information for you. The retrieval may prove to be difficult if you are anxious, stressed, worried or tired physically or mentally. Retrieval is more easy when you are relaxed and healthy. Brain needs nutrients to keep itself sharp. Fruits, vegetables and dry fruits provide much needed nutrients for your brain. Include at least one fruit in your daily diet. Physical exercises, entertainment, hobbies, relaxation, memory games like sudoku etc help keep your memory sharp and active.

Dear lybrate-user, the duty of your mind is to think. You cannot control your mind's thinking. Once you just leave your mind without diversion, it always end up in negative territory. But certainly you can divert your thinking. You can make your mind to be always positive by engaging in creative activities, hobbies, games and passionate towards whatever you do. Thereby you can reduce your stress and tension also. Once you can do this, loss of proper sleep and stress also can be made normal. Take care.

Hi guy am basically a writer and I tried smoking marijuana. It gave me great feel and ambience for thinking and it stimulates my creativity. And I know it is harmful. And can I smoke another time? what kind of problem will I get in future if I take regularly.

Reparenting Technique, BA, BEd
Psychologist, Bangalore
That is the effect of marijuana, exactly as you describe it. And that is also the catch in it: its pleasant effects and creative stimulus are enticing but so are the dangers. Not much is known about its entertainment value or benefits. There is a lot of hype by those who want to legitimize it and those who love it: there is a bias because of their selfish motives. The antagonists on the other hand willfully propagate the dangers, sometimes without substantiated reasons to dissuade its use. If you know it is harmful why would you want to play with it. The obsession and compulsive use is when you become addicted to the substance. Now we all spoke the same language: we can stop whenever we want, it is not addictive, it is fun after all, there are so many medical benefits etc. All meant to justify the consumption. There are so many other healthy ways to be creative or to stimulate the creativity in you; and there are so many ways to? open? your mind. Why choose the easy way out when it is a chemical way out? just for your information here? s what webmd has to say? no matter how it gets into your system, it affects almost every organ in your body, and your nervous system and immune system, too. When you smoke pot, your body absorbs thc right away. (if you eat a baked good or another item, it may take much longer for your body to absorb thc, because it has to break down in your stomach before it enters your bloodstream). You may notice changes in your body right after you smoke. The effects usually stop after 3 or 4 hours. Smoking pot can increase your heart rate by as much as two times for up to 3 hours. That? s why some people have a heart attack right after they use marijuana. It can increase bleeding, lower blood pressure, and affect your blood sugar, too. We don? t yet know if marijuana is linked to higher odds of getting lung cancer. But the process does irritate your lungs -- which is why regular pot smokers are more likely to have an ongoing cough and to have lung-related health problems like chest colds and lung infections. Other physical effects of marijuana include? dizziness? shallow breathing? red eyes and dilated pupils? dry mouth? increased appetite? slowed reaction time (if you drive after using marijuana, your risk of being in a car accident more than doubles.) if you? re a long-time user, you can have physical withdrawal symptoms -- like cravings, irritability, sleeplessness, and less appetite -- when you stop? it being a hallucinogen, it can lead to hallucinations and even a phenomenon called? cross hallucinations? i. E. For example, you can see sounds and hear colors! still want to use it? that choice is entirely yours.

General Physician,
Anger management: 10 tips to tame your temper Keeping your temper I n check can be challenging. Use simple anger management tips — from taking a timeout to— to stay in control. Start by considering these 10 anger management tips. 1. Think before you speak In the heat of the moment, it's easy to say something you'll later regret. Take a few moments to collect your thoughts before saying anything — and allow others involved in the situation to do the same. 2. Once you're calm, express your anger As soon as you're thinking clearly, express your frustration in an assertive but nonconfrontational way. State your concerns and needs clearly and directly, without hurting others or trying to control them. 3. Get some exercise Physical activity can help reduce stress that can cause you to become angry. If you feel your anger escalating, go for a brisk walk or run, or spend some time doing other enjoyable physical activities. 4. Take a timeout Timeouts aren't just for kids. Give yourself short breaks during times of the day that tend to be stressful. A few moments of quiet time might help you feel better prepared to handle what's ahead without getting irritated or angry. 5. Identify possible solutions Instead of focusing on what made you mad, work on resolving the issue at hand. Does your child's messy room drive you crazy? Close the door. Is your partner late for dinner every night? Schedule meals later in the evening — or agree to eat on your own a few times a week. Remind yourself that anger won't fix anything and might only make it worse. 6. Stick with'I' statements To avoid criticizing or placing blame — which might only increase tension — use" I" statements to describe the problem. Be respectful and specific. For example, say" I'm upset that you left the table without offering to help with the dishes, instead of" You never do any housework. 7. Don't hold a grudge Forgiveness is a powerful tool. If you allow anger and other negative feelings to crowd out positive feelings, you might find yourself swallowed up by your own bitterness or sense of injustice. But if you can forgive someone who angered you, you might both learn from the situation. It's unrealistic to expect everyone to behave exactly as you want at all times. 8. Use humour to release tension Lightening up can help diffuse tension. Use humor to help you face what's making you angry and, possibly, any unrealistic expectations you have for how things should go. Avoid sarcasm, though — it can hurt feelings and make things worse. 9. Practice relaxation skills When your temper flares, put relaxation skills to work. Practice deep-breathing exercises, imagine a relaxing scene, or repeat a calming word or phrase, such as" Take it easy. You might also listen to music, write in a journal or do a few yoga poses — whatever it takes to encourage relaxation. 10. Know when to seek help Learning to control anger is a challenge for everyone at times. Consider seeking help for anger issues if your anger seems out of control, causes you to do things you regret or hurts those around you.
