During the impact you seem to have developed some injury to the eye and possibly some fracture of bones surrounding the eye. The ct scan will help evaluate the extent of damage and will guide treatment by either an oculoplasty surgeon or a plastic surgeon. Also have a dilated retina and examination of eye movements- both will be done by an eye doctor.

My daughter, age 17 yrs, had blunt trauma in her right eye during jun'14. She had one optic nerve damaged and has lost Patial vision ( presently 6/18 in r/e. Laser ws also done in the ratina. Initially her intraculur pressure was increased due to heavy steroids. But now every thing has been stabilized. All allopathic medicine have been stopped. Doctor says that now vision would not be improved. We are also not bothered about vision much and satisfied with 6/18 in r/e and 6/6 in l/e. However she is still have pains in her eye, which is not understandable to doctors. Kindly guide

It could be nothing serious. As long as she is on regular follow-ups and her Intaocular pressure is being monitored you should not worry. If there is a mild pain you can try some good lubricating eye drops (like Lubrex, Tear Drops, Add Tears) 3-4 times per day. If there is any associated redness then it is better that you consult your doctor.

Daily my husband eyes will become red sometime it will itching what can be a reason?

DHMS (Diploma in Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery)

Daily my husband eyes will become red sometime it will itching what can be a reason?
Eyes appear red because the vessels at the surface of the white portion of the eye (sclera) become swollen. Vessels may swell due to: • Eye dryness • Too much sun exposure • Dust or other particles in the eye • Allergies • Infection • Injury Eye infections or inflammation can cause redness as well as possible itching, discharge, pain, or vision problems. These may be due to: • Blepharitis: Swelling along the edge of the eyelid. • Conjunctivitis: Swelling or infection of the clear tissue that lines the eyelids and covers the surface of the eye (the conjunctiva). This is often referred to as "pink eye." • Corneal ulcers: Sores on the cornea most often caused by a serious bacterial or viral infection. • Uveitis: Inflammation of the uvea, which includes the iris, ciliary body, and choroid. The cause is most often not known. It may be related to an autoimmune disorder, infection, or exposure to toxins. The type of uveitis that causes the worst red eye is called iritis, in which only the iris is inflamed. Other potential causes of eye redness include: • Colds or allergies . • Acute glaucoma: A sudden increase in eye pressure that is extremely painful and causes serious visual problems. This is a medical emergency. The more common form of glaucoma is chronic and gradual. • Corneal scratches: Injuries caused by sand, dust, or overuse of contact lenses. Sometimes, a bright red spot, called a subconjunctival hemorrhage, will appear on the white of the eye. This often happens after straining or coughing, which causes a broken blood vessel on the surface of the eye. Most often, there is no pain and your vision is normal. It is almost never a serious problem. Because the blood leaks into the conjunctiva, which is clear, you cannot wipe or rinse the blood away. Like a bruise, the red spot will go away within a week or two. Homoeopathic medicine EUPHRASIA 30 ( Dr Reckeweg) Drink 2 drops direct on tongue every 2-3 hrly CINERARIA /EUPHRASIA EYEDROPS ( SBL ) pour into eyes 1-2 drops 3 times daily If no relief within 7 days, please cosult an Eye specialist for physical examination.

Diet for EYESIGHT Lutein and zeaxanthin are both important nutrients for eye health, 6 as both of them are found in high concentrations in your macula—the small central part of your retina responsible for detailed central vision. More specifically, lutein is also found in your macular pigment – known for helping to protect your central vision and aid in blue light absorption—and zeaxanthin is found in your retina. Estimated daily dose of lutein is 10 mg per day, and at 2 mg/day for zeaxanthin. Both lutein and zeaxanthin are primarily found in green leafy vegetables, although zeaxanthin is far scarcer than lutein. Kale and spinach are two of the most lutein-rich foods, but you'll also find it in carrots, squash, and other orange and yellow fruits and vegetables. Both lutein and zeaxanthin are carotenoids called xanthophylls, which give plants and vegetables their yellow-orange color, and the name" lutein" comes from the Latin word" luteus, which means" yellow. If you remember this, it may help you pick out vegetables that are likely to contain higher amounts of these two nutrients. Egg yolk is another source of both lutein and zeaxanthin that is well absorbed by your body Most of the dark green leafy vegetables, previously recommended for a higher intake of lutein and zeaxanthin, have 15-47 percent of lutein, but a very low content (0-3 percent) of zeaxanthin. Study shows that fruits and vegetables of various colors can be consumed to increase dietary intake of lutein and zeaxanthi It is also important to note that lutein is an oil-soluble nutrient, so if you eat the vegetables without some oil or butter your body can't absorb the lutein. Adding a little bit of healthy fat, such as olive oil, coconut oil, or raw organic butter, will maximize your lutein absorption. lybrate-user, regarding your height now it is almost a impossible to increase your height. If you are using spectacles you can get rid of that by undergoing LASIK (your cornea should have sufficient thickness). Consult an ophthalmologist for more info about LASIK.

Hello, get your eyes tested from an opthalmologist. Include the following for getting better vision: vitamins a, c, e, and minerals like copper and zinc are essential to eyesight. Get the antioxidants from dark leafy greens, egg yolks, yellow peppers, pumpkin, sweet potatoes, and carrots. Include garlic and onions. Blueberries, grapes as they have antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties that can help improve your vision. Dha is a fatty acid found in coldwater fish like salmon, sardines and mackerel. Exercises for strengthening eye muscles: -begin by partially closing your eyes; the lids should only be halfway shut. After holding for 10-15 seconds, close your eyes very slowly. Take a few deep breaths to increase oxygen in the blood. -warm your eyes. Rub your palms together to create heat, and then place them against your eyes for five seconds. Repeat this three times. -hold a pen at arm's length. Focus your gaze on the tip of the pen. Bring the pen closer to your nose at a slow and steady pace. Repeat this exercise 5-10 times. -concentrate your vision on the tip of your nose. Then shift your gaze to an object further away, either at arm's length or 20 feet away. Then shift your eyes back to the tip of your nose. Repeat this exercise 10 times. -sit in a relaxed but upright position. Begin by look to the left-most position (without moving your head) and hold to stretch your eye muscles. Hold for 5 counts. Blink and return your gaze back to look straight in front of you. Then look to the right-most position with your gaze and hold for 5 counts. Repeat 3 times, blinking between each hold. Then, repeat this exercise looking up and then down. Do not forget about blinking. -sit in a relaxed but upright position. Look up and to your right for 5 seconds. Return your gaze to center. Look up to and to your left for 5 seconds. Return your gaze to center. Look down and to your right for 5 seconds. Return your gaze to center. Look down and to your left for 5 seconds. Insufficient sleep may weaken your vision, so shoot for 8 hours of sound sleep a night. Rest your eyes 10 minutes for every 50 minutes spent reading or in front of the computer. If your eyes feel overly tired, lie down and place cooling cucumber slices over your eyelids. Medication: take homoeopathic medicine which will help you in preventing first and then reducing the power of your eyes (if the eye power is less). Take physostigma 6/ thrice daily for 1 month and instill euphrasia eye drops twice a day. Thereafter, revert back for further guidance.

I have a red eyes and no sleep what to do?

BHMS
Homeopath,
I have a red eyes and no sleep what to do?
Tips for good night 1. Sleep as much as you need to feel rested; do not oversleep. Many a time’s people have a habit of oversleeping on weekends and sleeping less on working days. In the long run such habit may interfere with your sleep cycle and your quality of sleep may get affected. 2. Quality of sleep is more important than the quantity of sleep. Some sleep for just 3-4 hours and remain fresh throughout the day where as others sleep 8-10 hours and yawn throught the day. 3. Exercise regularly at least 30 minutes daily, ideally 4-5 hours before your bedtime. 4. Keep a regular sleep and awakening schedule. As far as possible stick on to the fixed time for retiring and rising. 5. Do not drink caffeinated beverages later than 4 PM (tea, coffee, soft drinks etc.). 6. Do not smoke, especially in the evening. 7. Do not go to bed hungry and do not go to the bed immediately after heavy dinner. 8. Adjust the environment in the room (lights, temperature, noise etc.) The room you are sleeping should not be too warm, shouldn’t have some bright light. 9. Wear comfortable clothing when you go to bed. Sleeping with tight fitting clothing may affect your sleep. 10. Avoid watching TV, eating, and discussing emotional issues in bed. 11. A light snack may be sleep-inducing, but a heavy meal too close to bedtime interferes with sleep. 12. Milk contains the amino acid L-tryptophan, which has been shown in research to help people go to sleep. 13. Take a warm bath half an hour before going to bed. 14. Listen to light music in the evening hours or just before going to the bed. Listening to exciting music may interfere your quality of sleep. 15. Sleep with your head facing north (magnetic) and feet facing south. 16. Don’t read very interesting and thrilling books just before going to bed. Your mind may remain active for long time and you may have difficulty in initiating sleep. 17. Yoga and Pranayama may help in inducing sleep. Homoeopathic management of Insomnia: Many a times Insomnia is due to faulty methods adopted by the person which interferes with the sleep cycle. Few Insomniacs have some psychological and behavioral problems which need to be tackled medically. Homoeopathic medications will help in initiating and maintaining sleep in patients with anxiety neurosis, depression, obsession etc. Homoeopathic medications does not have any side/after effects and they are not habit forming.

both are pretty safe . you can wear contact lens but if you dont want to then lasik is good option Lasik is a simple laser procedure which changes the shape of the cornea so that the light rays fall on the retina properly. It is a painless procedure. It is a day care procedure does not require any injections, does not require admission, you can simply resume your duties in 2 days. Cost varies from centre to centre. Side effects are usually limited to dryness of eyes for few months. We can do lasik anytime after age of 18 years. You need to undergo proper prelasik checkup to decide whether lasik is safe for you or not
