Sir/mam, There is one small chicken bone sticked in my right upper side of tonsil. And I had done my neck X-Ray and CT SCAN of neck but doctor had said to me that there is no chicken bone, but I can touch that bone from my tongue. And my neck is paining too much from 3 months. Sir what should I do now. Please give me solution.

If ct scan also is not showing any chicken bone, and doctor also is assuring the same thing- you better get convinced that there is nothing wrong with the throat. Or take the ct films with you and show it to another good ent surgeon.

Yes definitely there is a way to get rid of your complain as well as medicines you should try homoeopathic medicines you can take dulcamara 30 5 pills morning and night for 3 days. I am major(ex.) from indian army and 36 years old, presently, working in a corporate(in bank) since 2012, in chennai. From the day I joined the civilian job I have been suffering frequently(once in a month) with cough, cold, sometimes even dry cough with many continuous spells, difficulty in breathing, fever, head ache(mostly half side) lasting for 7 - 10 days through gradual appearance of above mentioned all symptoms. But, I do not find any weight loss or lack of appetite etc. Which are related to tb, because I have had a doubt of infection of tb. But I have never tested it so far. Otherwise im always healthy. Please advise me. What type of treatment should I have to take, ayurvedic or homeopathic or allopathy? how long?

My Dad's sonography tells that he has moderate left pleural effusion, what does that mean and what should we do now?

MBBS, DNB (General Medicine), Certified in Evidence Based Diabetes Management, MNAMS, MRCP (UK)
Internal Medicine Specialist, Kolkata
Thank you for the query. Plerura or pleural space, is a sac like covering around our lung. It is a potential space and air, fluid and blood can collect in it. Pleural effusion implies that there is collection of fluid in the pleural space. When there is a collection in this space, the normal function of the lung (gaseous exchange) may be hampered. It would have been helpful if you would have mentioned your father's age, and whether he is suffering from any comorbidities, also whether he has any addictions (like smoking). The commonest cause of pleural effusion is infection (usually bacterial). Other causes may be tuberculosis, mitosis or conditions like rheumatoid arthritis. Liver disease, kidney problems and cardiac failure also causes pleural effusion, but they mostly bilateral (both sided). It is advisable that you visit a physician or chest specialist. A chest x-ray will be needed. Some blood tests like complete haemogram will be needed, and analysis of the pleural fluid may be done. Regards.

I am a teenager hand have sinus problem I can not enjoy many cold food which I want to eat please reply to my answer.

DORL, MBBS
ENT Specialist, Faridabad
First thing you should go for ct scan of nose and sinus than treatment is based on grade of the sinus, if it is grade iv than no treatment is available or effective unless you get this corrected by surgery, surgery will give you nearly 80-90%. Than remaining you can treat with homeopathy than it will help. The bone of he nose gets deviated this leads to nose breathing problem if a person suffering from nasal obstruction along with sinusits and mild to moderate nasal allergies it means most probably he is suffering from dns (deviated nasal septum. Nasal obstruction is because of the deviated portion of the nasal septum (this is the bony partition of the nose cavity. Allergies are because of the hampered muco-ciliary mechanism (normally mucus is produced in the nose to moisten our nose cavity, oral cavity, and help food bolus to move downward, this mucus is basically moves on the cilia of the nasal mucosa) this mechanism gets hampered and mucus start accumulating in the nose and sinus cavity which is why thick mucus comes from nose in patients of nose obstruction and person develops sinusiits. When a surgeon removes the nasal septum deviation has not been removed properly the symptoms persists, and patient thinks that the nose bone has again regrown. It is not because of regrowth but because of half surgery done or due to the non removal of the deviation (reason can be many) nowadays nasal septal deviation can be removed endoscopic ally. But if the sinusitis is grade ii or iii than there are possibility that you may get relief from symptoms.
