I m 34 y m I suffering low vision during without spex please suggests diet food for growing eye side by natural.

DHMS (Diploma in Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery)
Homeopath, Ludhiana
Diet for EYESIGHT Lutein and zeaxanthin are both important nutrients for eye health,6 as both of them are found in high concentrations in your macula—the small central part of your retina responsible for detailed central vision. More specifically, lutein is also found in your macular pigment – known for helping to protect your central vision and aid in blue light absorption—and zeaxanthin is found in your retina.Estimated daily dose of lutein is 10 mg per day, and at 2 mg/day for zeaxanthin. Both lutein and zeaxanthin are primarily found in green leafy vegetables, although zeaxanthin is far scarcer than lutein. Kale and spinach are two of the most lutein-rich foods, but you'll also find it in carrots, squash, and other orange and yellow fruits and vegetables. Both lutein and zeaxanthin are carotenoids called xanthophylls, which give plants and vegetables their yellow-orange color, and the name "lutein" comes from the Latin word "luteus," which means "yellow." If you remember this, it may help you pick out vegetables that are likely to contain higher amounts of these two nutrients. Egg yolk is another source of both lutein and zeaxanthin that is well absorbed by your body Most of the dark green leafy vegetables, previously recommended for a higher intake of lutein and zeaxanthin, have 15-47 percent of lutein, but a very low content (0-3 percent) of zeaxanthin. study shows that fruits and vegetables of various colors can be consumed to increase dietary intake of lutein and zeaxanthi It is also important to note that lutein is an oil-soluble nutrient, so if you eat the vegetables without some oil or butter your body can't absorb the lutein. Adding a little bit of healthy fat, such as olive oil, coconut oil, or raw organic butter, will maximize your lutein absorption. Lutein content in food Food Mg / serving Orange ( Raw) 0.2/1 large Egg 0.2/1 large Spinach (cooked) 20.4 / 1 cup Papaya(Raw) 0.3/1 large Turnip greens (cooked) 12.2 / 1 cup Green peas (cooked) 4.1 / 1 cup Spinach (raw) 3.7 / 1 cup Corn (cooked) 1.5 / 1 cup Broccoli (raw) 1.3 / 1 cup Broccoli (cooked) 0.8 / 1/2 cup Green beans (cooked) 0.9 / 1 cup

For past few days, I am finding tears dropping from left eye. I also found that there was small boil on eyelid? what is the reason behind it ? what is the cure ?

Small boil in your case seems to be infective caused by rubbing eyes with dirty hands. If its mild can managed by topical eye drops and if its not beneficial, then it has to be excised. For medicines you can have private consultation.

Sir I have eye side related problem any medicine are you suggest me for eye side vision improve.

BHMS
Homeopath, Faridabad
Hello, If you are myopic, include the following for getting better vision: Vitamins A, C, E, and minerals like copper and zinc are essential to eyesight. Get the antioxidants from dark leafy greens, egg yolks, yellow peppers, pumpkin, sweet potatoes, and carrots. Include garlic and onions. Blueberries, grapes as they have antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties that can help improve your vision. DHA is a fatty acid found in coldwater fish like wild salmon, sardines and mackerel. Exercises for eyes: Warm your eyes. Rub your palms together to create heat, and then place them against your eyes for five seconds. Repeat this three times. Roll your eyes. Start by looking up and then slowly circle 10 times clockwise and 10 times counterclockwise. Focus. Hold a pen at arm's length, focus your eyes on it, and slowly bring the pen closer until it's about 6 inches away from your nose. Then slowly move it back, keeping your eyes focused on the pen, 10 times in all. Massage your temples. Using your thumb knuckles, massage your temples in small circles, 20 times in one direction and 20 in the other. Repeat the same actions above the mid-point of the eyebrows at the forehead, then below the eyes on both sides of the bridge of the nose. Take a mini-nap. Put your head back, close your eyes, and relax for 3 minutes. Insufficient sleep may weaken your vision, so shoot for 8 hours of sound sleep a night. Rest your eyes 10 minutes for every 50 minutes spent reading or in front of the computer. If your eyes feel overly tired, lie down and place cooling cucumber slices over your eyelids. Medication: Take homoeopathic medicine which will help you in preventing rather reducing the power of your eyes. Take Physostigma 6/ thrice daily for 1 month. Thereafter, revert back for further guidance.

My right eye is fluctuating (i do not know the word) from 3 days. Is it just a normal thing or some thing else.

DHMS (Diploma in Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery)
Homeopath, Ludhiana
Most abnormal blinking or twitching of the eye clears up quickly , within a few hours of when the symptoms appear. Similarly, if the eye feels tired or dry or the eyelid feels heavy, the problems usually go away quite quickly. If the blinking or eyelid twitching does not respond to treatment or is continuously blinking for a few days, one possible cause is an eye dystonia (the medical term for this is Blepharospasm). Symptoms include increased blinking and involuntary closure of the eyelids. Also sometimes the eye feels tired or dry or the eyelid heavy. Homoeopthic medicine GELSEMIUM 30 ( Dr Reckeweg) Drink 1 drop direct on tongue evert 1-3 hrly depending upon frequency of blinking eyes.

I have myopia. And the number of my lens is constantly increasing with age. What steps should I take to improve my eyesight?

Fellowship in Comprehensive Ophthalmology, DOMS
Ophthalmologist, Sangrur
There is no medication or food for improving eyesight or to get rid of glasses. If not interested in glasses then you can try a. Contact lens b. Lasik laser as your age is now 17 years so your number will not increase much now whether you wear glasses or not as number becomes stable at age of 18-20 yrs. Having said that I advise you to eat balanced diet including green vegetables and seasonal fruits for keeping eyes and body healthy. As you are not comfortable with contact lens then go for lasik. Lasik is a very easy and painless procedure. If you want to get rid of glasses then go for lasik.

Hi I had my retinal surgery on 23rd March, my vision is there but the focus is lacking in this eye. There is more light and things look more whitish. How long it takes for restoration of normal focus or I will have to go in for farsight glasses?

Phaco Development Program, Fellowship in Pediatric Ophthalmology, DNB Ophtalmology, MBBS
Ophthalmologist, Mysore
There are a lot of types of retinal surgeries. Visual recovery depends upon many factors like for what disease you underwent surgery, what was stage of the disease and if anything like gas/oil has been injected in the eye. Your surgeon is the best person to help you.

Hello doctor my name is sharad I'm 20 year old I'm facing the problem NY eyes is get red when I sleep please help me.

BHMS
Homeopath, Faridabad
Hello, Bloodshot eyes appear red because the vessels at the surface of the white portion of the eye become swollen. Vessels may swell due to: Eye dryness Too much sun exposure Dust or other particles in the eye Allergies Infection Injury Eye infections or inflammation can cause redness as well as possible itching, discharge, pain, or vision problems. Other causes of eye redness include Colds or allergies, Acute glaucoma, Corneal scratches: Injuries caused by sand, dust, or overuse of contact lenses. Sometimes, a bright red spot, called a subconjunctival hemorrhage, will appear on the white of the eye. This often happens after straining or coughing, which causes a broken blood vessel on the surface of the eye. Most often, there is no pain and your vision is normal. It is almost never a serious problem. Because the blood leaks into the conjunctiva, which is clear, you cannot wipe or rinse the blood away. Like a bruise, the red spot will go away within a week or two. Management: - Try to rest your eyes if redness is due to fatigue or eye strain. No other treatment is needed. - Wash your hands, hold clean water in your hand, keep your eyes closer to the water and dip the eyes by blinking the eyelids frequently in the held water in hand. Repeat it for 3-4 times again. - Avoid watching T. V. Working on computer or mobile, reading or frequently keep blinking your eyes to avoid dryness. Take frequent breaks in between. - In case there is itching, use a clean napkin or a tissue to wipe the tears and cleaning the eyelids gently. -Wear an UV-rays protected sunglasses while you are out in sun. Medication: Take homoeopathic medicines - Schwabe’s Belladonna 30 and Euphrasia 30 - both thrice daily for 4 days. Use Euphrasia Eye drops twice daily. Revert back thereafter.

Sir, my 15 year old sister has - 6 power in both eyes. Every time her power increases when she visit for checkup. I m afraid if this time also her power increases. Please suggest me how to handle the problem?

MBBS, DOMS
Ophthalmologist, Hyderabad
Power increase can usually happen upto the body growth age, usually until around age 18 in girls. Do continue with your regular checkups with your ophthalmologist and follow if any change in glasses or contact lenses is advised. Also make sure the retina is checked up, after dilating the pupils, at regular intervals. This is to make sure that the retina is not going into some thinning or other changes that could occur in people with high myopia.

I am 24 year old suffering from nearsightedness or myopia or my eyes are above -7 to 8 in both eyes. I am wearing spectacles from my age 12. My eye sight increases in every one year when I go for check up. Now is it good for me that to go with lasik surgery. Help me with this.

BHMS
Homeopath, Delhi
Lasik is only done when your power is stable for at least a year or 2. If it is increasing progressively every year I think you should first consult a good eye surgeon before undergoing lasik.

I have myopia of -1.5D, can my eye get cured without lasik? I am totally get off from this glass world. If any permanent cure then please tell me.

FPRS, DNB Ophtalmology
Ophthalmologist, Pune
Lasik is a simple laser procedure which changes the shape of the cornea so that the light rays fall on the retina properly. It is a painless procedure. It is a day care procedure does not require any injections, does not require admission, you can simply resume your duties in 2 days. Cost varies from centre to centre. Side effects are usually limited to dryness of eyes for few months. We can do lasik anytime after age of 18 years. You need to undergo proper prelasik checkup to decide whether lasik is safe for you or not

My vision while doing some work on mobile becomes blurry, and after sometime it becomes normal, I had already checked my eyes, they said eyes are normal with no any number, kindly suggest what should I do?

DHMS (Diploma in Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery)
Homeopath, Ludhiana
Mobile screen is made up of hundreds of tiny pixels that are constantly moving. Our eyes in turn are not naturally able to set focus on these constantly moving pixels, and hence we try to focus on an area behind the actual screen. Therefore, in order to work on a mobile, our eyes need to keep on fluctuating focus between their natural point of focus and the pixels on the screen. And this tires the eyes and causes a lot of wear and tear. As a result, we suffer from irritation, which may range from a number of things like headaches, dry eyes, blurred vision, problems in focusing and faulty color perception, to something as severe as glaucoma. The electromagnetic waves that are emitted by a mobile phone can be extremely damaging to the eyes. It has been studied and well documented that these cell phone waves can have a damaging effect on the various parts of the eye, including the retina and the cornea. Moreover, they can cause cataract too. Moreover it is more distressing for our eyes to view contents on a tiny screen which requires even more concentration and extenive usage of eyes without blinking thus causing Eye dryness making them vulnerable to frequent Eye problemss.. The solution for this problem I its reduced usage and while uing mobiles use them inproper light. There is nothing more effective than controlling usage to reduce and negate the effects. You can also reduce the intensity of the mobile’s screen by attaching a filter or by getting an eye-friendly screen. Above all, one must try to reduce the amount of mobile usage or take frequent breaks.
