We need to do proper diagnostic tests before concluding anything. Recurrent ulcers are related to systemic problems or can be due to regular medications kindly consult a dentist as well as physician to rule out the cause. Latest treatment what we can do is laser treatment for ulcer.

I am 28 years old. I underwent Tongue tie release surgery 3 days ago. It has not recovered yet. I still have pain when I move my tongue. Pain is at the place where the surgery was performed (lower art of tongue). How long does it take to recover fully? I am also getting mild fever because of pain I guess. Please suggest.

How can we improve our teeth
Limit sugary foods and drinks. Bacteria in your mouth feed on sugar from foods and drinks. Avoid over-brushing. You can wear down your enamel if you brush too fast and hard. Brush your teeth twice a day with fluoridated toothpaste. Avoid grinding your teeth. Get regular checkups.

My moler tooth have turned blue. Around 5 years back, I went to a dentist and she treated it with root canal. At that time I can feel/sense pain In my tooth, but as per her I shouldn't feel a thing as she has removed all the pulp and the tooth is basically disabled (in lack of better term to describe it). What's the treatment now, sometime there is pain in the tooth. It's an upper moler. What kind of testament is advised now.

Pain after a root canal can be due to reinfection or crack in the tooth or inadequate cleaning during root canal. We would need an x-ray and examination to decide whats causing the pain. If the tooth structure is still intact and there is no crack - re root canal can be done if its a crack in the roots it would go for extraction.

Tongue cleaning is as important as brushing and flossing. Use of a proper tongue scraper every morning will remove tongue plaque and freshen your breath.

Gastritis, lung & sinus infection may also be the cause of bad smell in the mouth. 90% of bad breath is due to a dirty tongue. We need more investigations with clinical examination to decide upon treatment. You may need deep cleaning. Rinse your mouth thoroughly with a mouth wash until then. Advance procedures can be done with laser too. Dental tips: - visit a dentist every six months for cleaning and a thorough dental check-up. Limit sugary food to avoid tooth decay. Gargle your mouth thoroughly after every meal. Scrub gently to clean your tongue with a tongue cleaner. Floss all your teeth inter dentally & brush twice daily, morning & night, up & down short vertical strokes, with ultra-soft bristles, indicator brush. Tooth brush to be changed every 2 months.

All I can say is, dentistry has come a long way in terms of patient comfort during dental treatment, so routine fillings usually can be completed very comfortably and with minimal, if any, pain. Also, if you delay your treatment, you might end up needing more complex, and prolonged treatment than might be necessary now. So go right ahead, set up an appointment with a dentist, and get your teeth treated. Remember the saying, "A stitch in time, saves nine!

Hi lybrate-user bleeding gums are usually a sign of active gum disease caused usually by bacterial deposits on your teeth. No toothpaste, by itself, can give you permanent relief from this issue. The more long term solution lies in seeing your dentist for a thorough professional cleaning of your teeth. Occasionally, the bleeding gums might also be an indication of some underlying systemic disorder or nutritional deficiency. Please set up an appointment with your dentist and discuss the issue with them. Hope this helps.

Cause of discoloration ? Smoking, coffee, tea, drugs, aging, staining food (wine, blueberry, etc) genetics. We need more investigations with clinical examination to decide upon treatment. You may need deep cleaning along with whitening (bleaching) procedures and / or artificial enamel filling and / or capping. Advance procedures can be done with laser. Use Snowdent tooth paste for whitening until then. Apply SNOWDENT paste on the teeth. Wait for 10 to 15 min .Then brush your teeth with the same paste. Applying it overnight for better results. Hi. There could be cavity in tooth causing pain. Mostly it might go for root canal treatment or if its wisdom tooth then go for extraction. A xray would surely confirm diagnosis.

How to overcome from ulcer?

Ask Free Question
Hi mouth ulcers are common and arise from verious causes like local irritation from sharp/chipped teeth, dentures, wrong brushing techniques, broken crowns and accidental damage. These do not need special treatment and will heal well within a week's time. Otc products like mouth ulcer gels wil help a little. For more long standing ulcers prescription medicines from your dentist should be taken. Also a dental consultation will rule out any more serious causes like mouth fungal infection, vitamin deficiency, systemic diseases like lichen planus, sle etc or sometimes a pre-cancerous/ suspected cancerous ulceration requiring more detailed examination, probably with a biopsy. Do consult a dentist for ulcers that recurr frequently.

Pain on having sweet is indicative of caries. Get your cavities filled. If you wait then that small cavities will turn into big whole in your teeth then you have to think about root canal treatment or removal of that tooth second thing you have is bleeding while brushing. It is due to infection in your gums. For cure, you have to visit your dentist and ask him for cleaning of teeth as well as gums. After cleaning you have to maintain your oral hygiene at home.

Take your antibiotics as prescribed by your dentist.Avoid crunchy, hard or tough foods on a recently treated root canal tooth for several days afterward.Having a crown made for a root canal treated tooth helps to maintain it, keep it intact, functional, and less likely to develop pain from fracturing. If the pain after root canal treatment persists, make sure to contact your dental office. They will get you in to check that the tooth is healing as it should.
