If you truly love him, you wouldn't break up with him. You would see how much he can use the relationship as a motivation to get out of the depression. Depression is curable. If is unwilling and not cooperative, then you can take a call. In terms of helping him, there are limitations and a p[articularly concerning dynamic that can hamper and become somewhat gamey is if he puts you in a mother's role and also if he becomes passive expecting you to do all the work. Obviously, that will never work for him. So make all the rules clear about this. He4 needs to get into a good vigorous exercise program for 30 minutes every day which makes the body produce natural antidepressants, but do check with his physician before venturing to attempt this. Talk therapy helps a lot to relieve the depression, but he could also have a good and reliable confidante to do the same, like you. This is the only condition where he is required to literally do the opposite of what he feels like doing. Depression makes him want to withdraw, lie down, sleep, become lethargic, slow down, make him too lazy to even think etc. So when I suggested doing the opposite, he will need to fight this disease. He must become active; stay upright during the daylight time; meet people; never sleep during the day, and wake up by 6 am every day, play some active games, especially contact games, do physical exercises, talk to people and join some social clubs, eat more of proteins and vegetables, attend Yoga classes etc. He can watch a lot of sitcoms on TV or comedies and cheer himself up. Go for excursions in groups, for outings, camps, conferences, and religious conventions. Get a pet dog and spend time training it, exercising it and relating to it. Expose himself to some sunlight every day, at least 30 minutes but not in the scorching heat. I hope you can love him until he is through with this condition. Remember if he is not cooperative, you are wasting your time and you can quit. Whatever happens please incorporate these three important adaptations in his life: always be responsible, be respectful, and be functional. If he did these three things lots of things will go well in life. Please pray and have faith in God to alleviate his sufferings. If he is still not relieved from the depression, then go first to a counselor and later to a psychiatrist, if the counselor advises you. The pro0cess is tough but not impossible.

Hello dear, you seem to have strained your back. Take bed rest, mild analgesics (paracetamol), fomentations, pillows under the knees while lying. Later do back strengthening exercises.

Sir. Today my blood results are like this. Blood sugar fasting. 116 PP. 140 Creatinine 1.2 Uric acid 6.0 Total cholesterol 164 Triglyceride 291 HDL 46 LDL 50. Is there any problem with the triglycerides figure? Or starting of diabetic? I don't have any physical problem as of now. Playing badminton daily around 90 minutes. So, from now onwards, in which part I need to control my lifestyle to avoid starting medicines?

Your triglycerides and fasting glucose level is increase but you are not diabetic. But it is a risk in future to be diabetic. U should avoid suger specially in liquid form and strictly avoid intake of oily food. U can use olive oil or canola oil in food. Take gugglu tea in morning.

Dear. Follow these best tips to get in shape and loose weight .* Body become over weight due to deposition of fatty tissues. First you should follow diet plan for weight loss. * In morning, take 2-3 chapattis witha bowl of cooked green vegetables. You can take a glass of without cream milk after 2 hour of breakfast. *In Lunch you can take a bowl of soupor salad.*In evening, You can take a cup of teawith glucose biscuits. *In Dinner, you can take a bowl of fruits or 2 chapattis with a bowl of vegetables. * For Thighs & hips - Work out for atleast 1 hour in morning, You can try skipping for 15 minutes with a walk of 30 minutes and 5-10 minutes running. Hi Type 2 Diabetes is a progressive disease. So over a period of time treatment plans change from one oral medicine to two and then three to keep the HbA1C within the target. Once multiple oral medications do not help in managing diabetes insulin has to be started, As most of the insulin producing cells in pancreas are gradually lost by then.

You must be having hyperacidity and flatulence.There may be constipation also.You should take Tab Rantac D 2 times a day before food.You can take Gastica fiz powder in water 3 to 4 times a day.For constipation,Isapgol 2 spoons at night at night.

Dear, you can get a healthy muscular body by following methods: - 1. To gain weight, your digestion should work properly for proper digestion - take 10 gms powder of carom seeds (ajwain, 10 gm powder of cumin (jeera), 10 gm of rock salt. Mix them well and take 1/2 teaspoon (3-5 gm) of mixture daily after meal. 2. Take a diet rich with proteins and fats. You should take high calorie food that increase your muscle mass and induce growth in bones. Follow the diet chart in your daily life to fastly gain weight * in morning, take a glass of milk added with 2 teaspoons of protein powder with breakfast. * in lunch time, take 1 bowl of curd or 100 gm of cheese, a bowl of vegetable, with chapattis. * in evening, take 1 glass of milk (300 ml) with 2 bananas. * in night, take a bowl of careals (daal, a bowl of salad with chapattis. 3. In morning, get up early and take awalk for 10-15 minutes and exercise light weight exercises for at least 30 minutes at home or gym. 4. For proper weight, proper sleep is very important. So you should sleep for 6-8 hours daily. 5. Avoid smoking & alcohol drinkg completely. 6. You can try protein powders like milk powder, soya protein for weight gain by taking 1 tea spoon added in milk once a day. I assure you that you definitely gain weight fastly by following them. Be healthy.

Gum swelling can be due to dirty teeth, hormonal changes, eruption of new teeth etc. For that you need to consult dentist and take treatment according to your need. If swallowing is difficult then it can be due to tonsillitis also. Hope you get well soon.

I recommend the following points: 1) a healthy and well balanced diet play an important role. 2) always have something for breakfast, and never attempt to skip it. 3) have 8 hours or sleep daily. Try to sleep early and wake up early. 4) as much as possible, avoid tobacco or cigarette smoking. Try not to drink too much alcohol, too. 5) having more foods rich in iron such as spinach, apricots and raisins are helpful. 6) consuming more fruits and vegetables can make the body fit and healthy. 7) avoid alcohol, tobacco and other drugs.

Yes there is lot of chances of pregnancy if your periods are regular before. It might be delayed due to tense & other reasns. Wait for 2 more days then go for upt.

Migraine is completely curable by ayurveda. Avoid the things which you r do not like. Avoid spicy food. Do not sleep during day. Avoid late night dinners. Try to identify the common thing after which your headache comes. Improve your digestion. Do regular exercises.

I am 27years old. L found a lump in my breast last July, and took medicines for 6months, then it subsided for 2 months. Now it has reappeared again. I did mammography. The result is same as 8months ago. What should I do now?

If it is harmless lump then you can start safe-herbal medicne tab kanchanara guggulu 1-1-1 for 3months to reduce the size. Reduce milk, milk products, sweets, pottato like underground vegetables.

Follow methods by which you can gain your desired height. 1. Follow these exercises regularly and you get the goal of height gain: * first stand straight bare foot on floor, then raise your arms upwards then raise your heels of foot with breathing in, try to stand on heels for 10-12 seconds and slowlylower down your heels back on the floor and breath outthe air. Repeat this exercise 5-8 times in morning. *sit on the floor, stretch you legs together so that both foot touch each other. Now raise your arms upwards together with back straight, now move your hands towardstoes of feet and touch them. Your forehead touching your knees. Slowly revert back the arms and move back arms in normal position. Repeat this exercise 2-4 times daily. You can privately consult me for understanding more exercises. 2. Take 300 ml of rich cream milk, 200 gm of cheese and 2-3 eggs regularly. It will definitely give boost to your bone growth. 3. Sit in sun rays for atleast 8-10 minutes in morning of evenings when the sun rays are not so strong. It will help you by getting adequate quantity of vitamin-d. 4. The growth and height iscontrolled by growth hormone whichis secreted by pituitary gland situated in the brain. So take meditation and have a stressfree lifestyle. Take 6-8 hours of sleep daily. Meditation makes your pituitatry gland healthy and working properly. 5. Take 1/2 teaspoon of ashwagandha powder with milk once a day.

I am struggling with cold for last 2 days, how do I cure it?

Firstly there's no lifelong cure for the common cold. Antibiotics are only effective against infections of throat and are of no use against cold viruses. Over-the-counter (otc) cold preparations won't cure a common cold or make it go away any sooner, and most have side effects. A saltwater gargle 1 teaspoon salt and 1/2tsp turmeric dissolved in a glass of warm water can temporarily relieve a sore or scratchy throat. To help relieve nasal congestion, try saline (pure salt water) nasal drops. If you have a throat infection, or a viral cold then I will prescribe appropriate meds based on your detailed assessment. Do reply back for medication prescriptions. Being also a general physician and registered dietitian, I prescribe both evidence based herbal as well as allopathic medicines complementing with dietary guidelines and home remedies carefully personalized for each individual patient.
