My dad 45 year old, he is a farmer. While working he didn't get any leg pain but on sitting or on relaxation the leg got pain from top to bottom. My dad taken the treatment but no useful. Please suggest what can we do?

For leg pain, please follow the below advise: keep your leg raised while sitting or lying quadriceps strengthening exercises- quad clenches: lie flat on your back or sit upright on a chair with leg kept horizontally on another surface. Now, tighten the muscle on the front of the thigh by pushing your knee down. You should feel your thigh muscles clench, hold for 3 secs. Repeat 10 times twice a day. Short arcs: lie flat on your back or sit upright with your leg placed horizontally on a flat surface like a chair or bed. Place a rolled up towel under the knee. Pull your toes towards you and clench you thigh muscles. Slowly lift your foot up off the bed until your knee is straight (keep your knee resting on the towel). Hold for 3 secs and slowly lower them on the chair. Repeat 10 times twice a day. Straight leg raise: lie flat on your back. One leg and knee will be straight and other leg should be bent. Pull your toes towards you and tighten/clench the muscle on the front of the thigh, locking your knee straight. Lift your foot up in the air, about 6 inches off the bed. Hold for 3 secs and slowly lower the leg. The knee must remain straight the whole time you are doing this exercise. Hamstring stretchingtowel hamstring stretch lie on the back, supporting the thigh with the hand or with a towel wrapped around it. Slowly straighten the knee until a stretch is felt in the back of the thigh, trying to get the bottom of the foot to face the ceiling, one leg at a time. Hold the position initially for 10 seconds, and gradually work up to 20 to 30 seconds. Seated hamstring stretch while sitting at the edge of a chair, straighten one leg in front of the body with the heel on the floor. Then, sit up straight and try pushing the navel towards the thigh without leaning the trunk of the body forwards. Hold this stretch for 30 seconds repeat 3 times for each leg.

Hello. We can't reverse the established pathology back, but we can control the process in the stage it is so that it wouldn't grow further. Apply Bakson’s Rheum Aid oil gently (2-3 times a day) and take orally Bakson’s Rheum-Aid syrup/ 1 tablespoon thrice daily. Also, increase your dietary intake of calcium which is present in green leafy vegetables, milk, milk products, sea food, white legumes, dried fig, black-eyed peas, almonds, oranges, seasame seeds. And vitamin D which is essential for absorption of calcium in our body and is synthesized naturally after getting exposed to sunlight, so early morning sunlight for 10-15min. 2-3 times a day is mandatory. Apart from this, do walk daily along with physiotherapy will also help you.

Massage with your thumbs from the mid points of the shoulder blades on both sides towards the lower back of your head up to lower level of the ears. Use oil or water for massage. Rotate your head clockwise and anticlockwise, forward and down, left and right a few times. Do for 5 to 10 times morning and evening. Give pressure the dipping point on the portion between the thumb and the index finger on the back of the palm. Press and release for 15 times where the pain is more. This will solve the problem. Further do some wrist rotation exercise. Consult after 5 days. For further guidance and treatment.

My 1 year old had started walking at 11 months and then stopped. Now he is not keeping his left foot firmly on the ground.. Hi, don't worry. Toe walking is simply a habit that develops when a child learns to walk. A consistent heel-toe walking usually develops by approximately age 22 months. Persistent toe walking beyond age 2 years merits further evaluation. Various causes of toe walking exist and include both central (brain) and peripheral neurologic disorders (eg, tethered spinal cord, diastematomyelia, spina bifida, cerebral palsy, muscular disorders (eg, congenital muscular dystrophy), and anatomic disorders such as limb length discrepancy. Sometime it can be idiopathic called as habitual toe walking or can be due to contraction of achillis tendon. But suggest you to get it check with pediatric physiotherapist or pediatrician as only one foot is involved or to rule out if any underlying cause is not there. Thanks and take care.

Hi ~use elastic bandages (such as an ace bandage) to wrap your ankle. ~wear a brace to support your ankle. ~use crutches for walking till swelling and pain subsides. ~keep your foot raised above your heart with pillows when resting or sleeping to reduce swelling. ~get plenty of rest and do not put weight on your ankle. Still you don't get relief than visit physiotherapist as physical examination /xray may be required for further investigation. Wishing you a good health.

Please do these things for 10 days and let me have your feed back. 1. Massage / rub your index and middle fingers tightly (of hands and feet toes) twice daily for about 1-2 minute each, twice-thrice a day. 2. Massage your hand with lukewarm mustard or til oil. 3. Stop taking sour and acidic food, cold drinks, cold and stale food. 4. If using a computer, correct your posture and hand position while using it. Please give me your feedback after 10 days.

Hand exercise dear you can do it easly…………1, Pinch Strengthener This exercise helps strengthen the muscles of your fingers and thumb. It can help you turn keys, open food packages, and use the gas pump more easily. •Pinch a soft foam ball or some putty between the tips of your fingers and your thumb. •Hold for 30 to 60 seconds. •Repeat 10 to 15 times on both hands. Do this exercise two to three times a week, but rest your hands for 48 hours in between sessions. Don't do this exercise if your thumb joint is damage Finger Lift Use this exercise to help increase the range of motion and flexibility in your fingers. •Place your hand flat, palm down, on a table or other surface. •Gently lift one finger at a time off of the table and then lower it. •You can also lift all your fingers and thumb at once, and then lower. •Repeat eight to 12 times on each han Thumb Extension Strengthening the muscles of your thumbs can help you grab and lift heavy things like cans and bottles. •Put your hand flat on a table. Wrap a rubber band around your hand at the base of your finger joints. •Gently move your thumb away from your fingers as far as you can. •Hold for 30 to 60 seconds and release. •Repeat 10 to 15 times with both hands. You can do this exercise two to three times a week, but rest your hands for 48 hours in between sessions. Thumb Touch This exercise helps increase the range of motion in your thumbs, which helps with activities like picking up your toothbrush, fork and spoon, and pens when you write. •Hold your hand out in front of you, with your wrist straight. •Gently touch your thumb to each of your four fingertips, one at a time, making the shape of an" O. •Hold each stretch for 30 to 60 seconds. After having cardiac catheterisation and coronary angiography, your pulse and blood pressure will be checked and recorded. If the catheter was inserted into your groin, a nurse may apply pressure for up to 10 minutes to stop the bleeding after the catheter and sheath have been removed. Avoid excessive movement. Observe the puncture site for drainage, bleeding or redness. Keep the adhesive bandage on the puncture site for 1 day and then remove it. Drink plenty of fluids (except alcoholic beverages) for up to 8 hours following your procedure, unless otherwise directed by your doctor. Plan to take at least a few days off from work to recover from your procedure. Avoid walking up stairs for the first couple of days after the angiogram if the catheter was inserted into your groin area. Avoid any heavy lifting or other strenuous activities for at least 24 hours.
